2150ft² house for 6 persons with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
This beautiful, tastefully restored house, formerly a restaurant, set in 3,700 square metres of grounds, benefits from spacious rooms and especially from a huge terrace, enabling you to enjoy your holiday in comfort. Pertuis, 3 km away, with its fortified old town of little squares and fountains, is a crossroads between the sea and the mountains, while the local produce (fruit, vegetables, AOC wines etc) is the delight of holidaymakers. You can make the most of your time with a variety of lavender- and wine-themed excursions, a visit to the ochre quarries of the Colorado Provençal, an enchanted land of colours, or the mighty landscape around the great Mont Sainte-Victoire, which inspired the painter Paul Cézanne. There will be two cats living on the property.
The house is entered by a big hall which distributes on the left the living kitchen and the storey room and right hand the lounge, opening on the terrace, the dining room overlooking the wine yard as well as a shower room with toilet. In front of the entrance door, a steep staircase leads to the four bedrooms. The first one has air condition and is furnished with a queen sized bed, TV and ensuite bathroom with toilet. The two others have each a double bed and the fourth one has air condition, 2 single beds but is closed only by a curtain.
The extensive grounds are well wooded and secured by an automatic gate coming from the road, but it is not enclosed behind the house where the vineyards are, giving direct access to the surrounding countryside for a ramble or a morning jog. There is room to park three cars in the shade. The laundry room is next to the barbecue area, which has a gas griddle. In front of the house, you will love the way the kitchen opens onto the vast, tiled terrace in the shade of three big trees, where you can get together for a delicious meal. The swimming pool with angled steps has a pool house with shower and WC. You can play pétanque in the parking area, or play a few games of table tennis.
This farmhouse is definitely a great place. In the heart of the Luberon, but within the Aix-en-Provence district, you will relish the sun-drenched local produce and discover the regional cottage industry and expertise - and don't forget to visit unmissable places such as Gordes, Lourmarin and others.
