If you're looking for a lovely authentic Cretan experience, I can highly recommend staying at the Amazing Stone Villa. Yiannis and Mary, the owners, were both lovely and welcoming. Maria's Tavern is a must if you stay. We enjoyed climbing near Kapetaniana and Agiofarango.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful stone villa in Crete. The place is full of charm, spotless, and perfectly blends traditional style with comfort. Yiannis was a fantastic host, very welcoming, helpful, and always ready with great local tips. The villa’s peaceful setting and great location made it easy to explore nearby villages. Highly recommend!

Unser Aufenthalt in der "Amazing Stone Villa" auf Kreta war einfach perfekt. Die Villa liegt in einem ruhigen und malerischen Dorf. Das Haus selbst ist stilvoll eingerichtet, unglaublich sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Der Gastgeber Yiannis ist äußerst herzlich und hilfsbereit. Er stand uns jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung und gab tolle Tipps zu Ausflugszielen und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir haben uns hier rundum wohl gefühlt und können die "Amazing Stone Villa" jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einem erholsamen Urlaub abseits der Touristenzentren ist. Wir kommen wieder!

Nachdem wir vor 6 Jahren auf Kreta in der Amazing Stone Villa waren. Waren wir zu viert wieder nach Kreta gereist und haben wiederum die Amazing Stone Villa gebucht. Die Schlafzimmer haben eine Klimaanlage, die erholsame Nächte ermöglicht. Wir können die Amazing Stone Villa im Süden Kretas nur empfehlen, gerade für Familien die Individual-Urlaub bevorzugen und KEINEN Pauschalurlaub. Die Villa bietet genügend Platz für 4 Personen. Gutes WLAN ist vorhanden. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und von Heraklion Flughafen ist man in 1 Std bei der Amazing Stone Villa. Von hier aus kann man tolle Ausflüge unternehmen: z.B. Tripiti Strand => Fahrt dorthin ist ein richtiges Abenteuer, neu eröffnetes Archäologischen Museum von Mesara, sowie die archälogische Stätte von Gortyna empfehlenswert, und es ist nicht weit nach Matala und Stränden dort. Für einen Ausflug nach Spinalonga (in der Nähe von Agios Nikolaos) haben wir einen Tagesausflug über eine recht bekannte Internetseite für Ausflüge gebucht. Neben typisch griechischen Spezialitäten Restaurant können wir sehr die Restaurants / Pizzaria LaNotte kurz vor Mires (Moires) und Taverna Kritamos kurz nach dem archäologischem Museum sehr empfehlen! Ein reichhaltiger Lidl und ein großer griechischer Supermarkt (Χαλκιαδάκης ΜαΧ) haben alles was man für Selbstverpflegung braucht. Es ist wirklich ein Ort, an dem man sich entspannen, zur Ruhe kommen und den täglichen Problemen entfliehen kann!

Séjour fantastique à la villa, tout a été très bien, de l'accueil avec les petits produits locaux et la symphatie de Yannis à l'arrivée la propreté de la villa, l'équipement optimal , la villa est très belle, et on s y sent bien. Endroit stratégique pour le secteur de kapetaniana, agio farango... Village et alentours authentiques . Nous recommandons vivement une étape par cet endroit.

Being part of the Koumasa excavation team, we stayed in Vasiliki for three nights. It was our first time at the Amazing Stone Villa, undoubtedly to be followed by many others. We got a three-room apartment with two double bedrooms and a living room / kitchen. Yiannis and Mary were very accomodating, the villa is newly refurbished and offers great facilities, all clean, new and in good taste. We highly recommend it!

Das alte Haus wurde von den Vermietern wunderschön renoviert und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es bietet für vier Personen genügend Platz (und mit dem Appartment sogar für sechs bis sieben) und ist einen perfekten Ausgangspunkt für Erkündungstouren im Gebirge als auch der "Jagd" nach kleineren Buchten. Die Gegend ist wenig touristisch, dafür aber umso authentischer. Die Vermieter warten beim Ankunft mit Kuchen, einer Hausführung und vielen Tipps und Vorschlägen auf; vom versteckten Bucht bis zur Taverna fürs Abendessen und Wochenmarkt. Alles in allem, wirklich empfehlenswert!

Sehr freundliches Vermieterpaar, das jederzeit gut erreichbar und sehr zuverlässig war, echte kretische Gastfreundschaft. Die Dusche quietscht beim Zusammenziehen der Kabine. Bett könnte breiter sein.
