First of all, it is necessary to clarify what type of this rental unit is. In the ad, it clearly states that this is an apartment, not a single house, not a whole cottage. This guest should realize, if they rent this entire property which contains two independent units, the price will be very different. This beach house is located in a rural area and garbage collection truck comes bi-weekly. Due to the amount of garbage accumulated, we have to go there to sort the garbage and put it on the roadside on time. We stayed in another unit for one night because the garbage truck would arrive in the early morning. We needed to stay there to check if the garbage bags are all collected , or if it needs to clean up the scattered garbage that was caused by animals during the night. We can't understand why this guest was so upset because we were there. As I said above, we rent out only one unit of our house, not the entire house. It should not be an issue even if we stayed there all the time. Usually, when this property has guests, we will stay our another home that is about 45 minutes driving distance. Unfortunately, this courtesy was taken it for granted. Regarding the lawn, as this accommodation has been fully booked. In order not to disturb them, I asked the gardener not to mow when there were guests staying. As for the cleaning of microwave, I check the microwave every time before guests coming. I checked it again after I read this guest's review. I found there were some finger marks on its door. I have told the cleaners to pay more attention and clean it more thoroughly. Finally, I want to say that we enjoy doing this short-term rental business. Our motivation and passion for it mostly comes from our guests. Certainly, it could have some disappointing moment when encountering some guest who lacks understanding, as well as is hard to please . However, we understand this is life. We still thank this guest's feedback.
