What could be better than a beach house on the ocean - a beach house with a pool and hot tub. The location is also great. Very quiet and a lot less traffic than the Duck area we had stayed in previously. An added bonus is the ice cream store just a 3 minute walk away.The host is very attentive. He had a long description of the local restaurants, the convenience stores and places of interest. He was also very prompt about answering any of my questions. Overall we had a wonderful time at this rental.

This house was awesome! It checked all the boxes for us! Pool, hottub, bar, outdoor shower, grills and stellar views. The pool area was fantastic and even came with an outdoor bar that we took full advantage of! We love to cook as a family and the kitchen was open and had all the amenities we needed. The open floor plan on the top floor was ideal. GREAT view of the ocean! Easy walk over the dune to the beach which was so convenient. AND you can hear the ocean all day! Communication with the host was timely and very helpful. Lovely people! We had a fantastic time and this home made the trip!

This property is in serious need of maintenance. There is an acceptable amount of weathering that a property in this location can have, and this one far exceeded that and was downright neglected. Upon arrival to the property at 8 PM we were greeted by little to no acceptable lighting in the carport and on the ground floor and stairs. Having my senior in-laws with us provided a unique situation that screamed safety concerns. When we ascended the stairs outside with our phone flashlights, we realized that they were also a safety concern. They are worn, some of them are spongy, there are nail heads sticking up all over the place on the stairs and the decks themselves. There are deck boards that are questionable at best with rain water saturating them during storms, and the railing on the 3rd floor is an accident waiting to happen as it is not secure and has so much give to it that I wouldn’t recommend anyone lean on it. The pool area also has no lighting, the pavers are coming up in multiple locations, there were weeds everywhere, the grill is rusty, and the overall condition is pure neglect. The cleanliness of the inside is also subpar as there is mold on the ceiling of multiple bathrooms, the dust on the vent on the 2nd floor is unacceptable, there is no working light above the stove, the ice maker does not work, the furniture is stained and the doors are ridiculously hard to open. For over 7K for the week, to say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Our family very very nice time we start with a rocky start because of hurricane Erin so we lost a day but we went down on Sunday and we were able to thoroughly enjoy Monday through Friday and then leaving early on Saturday

Family trip

Overall, the home was in good condition, but there are a few updates needed. We had a wonderful vacation and the host was easy to communicate with and got back to me very quickly.

The listing of this property is inaccurate. The screened in porch has no screens. There are zero lights outside in and around the pool area. Zero. Pitch dark past sundown we contacted the host to let him know the light inside the pool did not work and his response was it must be burnt out. Aside from that there are no other lights at all. You cannot use the outside of the property once it’s dark. All of the bedroom TVs are about the size of an iPad. Also, there are five Roku remotes to those TVs, but they are not labeled so you do not know which one goes to which TV and we could not get any of them to work except for the living room. The doors off the main floor area to go out to the deck are extremely hard to open and close. The two king beds are like sleeping on plywood and even the slightest movement creates a lot of noise. There were screws sticking out of the stairs of the outside decks. Make sure to wear shoes at all times. Also, there are some very soft spots on that deck right outside the main door that seemed pretty dangerous. The the cover to the hot tub is moldy and disgusting.. The outside propane grill does not work. The charcoal grill is falling apart . the house was riddled with spiders in all the bathrooms.. the check-in process was easy. The location was nice. But the advertisement for this house is very dated. The furniture shown in the pictures on the ad are not even there. They are old wooden furniture. That itself is falling apart as well. Never again.

Beach House

Really enjoyed this place. Quick walk to beach and very quiet. Had all the pans/dishes kitchen gadgets one could ever want. Only suggestion would be more games for those chilly days and more hooks for towels/coats.

Overall good -place looked bigger in pics

Birds in roof of ocean bedroom - loud ALL night. Great pool area but a place is little run down.

Wow. Hmmm. A little run down. New wood floors in all common areas. Granite and stainless in the kitchen. New comforters. I guess you can't please all of the people, all of the time.

Heated Pool!!

The property was a nice place to stay. 9 people total, 5 adults and 4 kids. The property worked well for us. We enjoyed the heated pool in April. Fit and Finish on the property wasn't perfect, but what seasonal beach house is. I would recommend upgrading the outdoor furniture and grill but other than that it was a great stay!

Incredible Property and Service

This rental not only saved our family vacation from being cancelled, but it made it even better. Our previous rental cancelled and David saved the day. He responded quickly, provided recommendations on things to do, places to eat, and places to go. The property is gorgeous with an amazing pool and even more amazing views! It is a short walk to a (basically) private beach. If you have the ability to book this property, I highly recommend you do so, and FAST.

Excellent stay

This was our first time staying in OBX. The property was easy to find, checkin was easy and communication with the property manager was great. Inside, the number of bedrooms was awesome and there were 3 full baths, two being en suite. The house was clean in average condition for oceanfront property. Kitchen was well stocked and linens were provided. The dunes are very tall which makes it hard to hear the ocean from the house and the walk to the beach can be challenging. Location is more secluded but that’s what I always look for. Overall, we had a good time!

4 night beach trip

House had plenty of room for our family of 6. Location to the beach is good. Less than 5 minute walk over the dunes. Pool was a hit with the family. Unfortunately the light doesn’t work so limited evening swimming. No lights in patio area. Put all food in the upper cabinets or you will meet the ants. The house is in need of some minor updates/upkeep items. But we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent!

We brought our 2 daughters and my mom to the beach for the first time. This house was absolutely perfect for us. We have never had a house with a personal pool before and it was awesome. We came 2 days after a hurricane so there were a few hiccups but the owners were quick to communicate and fix the issues. We felt safe the entire time we stayed there and the walk to the beach was just over a dune. I loved all the bathrooms and having our own washer and dryer. The view of the sunset and moonrise from the deck was priceless. We got so many great photos. We would definitely rent again for our next vacation.

Very relaxing week

Enjoyed this large house with a well equipped kitchen; great hot tub; beautiful pool; comfortable living and dining room that was large enough to accommodate all of us; and tasteful decor. Didn’t have any problems but owner was quick to respond to questions. We enjoyed the poker table and local activities, i.e. bike rentals, putt putt, aquarium, shopping, and the local restaurants. Being right on the beach, the houses all look like they could use a little tender loving care in spots but the hot tub was automatically checked mid week and has pretty wood floors and looks like relatively new furniture. Thanks for the hospitality, David.

Great location

This house is rented for its location. Close to beach, a nice neighborhood. The pool and hot tub are nice. The house could use a good cleaning. Silver fish were spotted in multiple rooms. The 2nd floor master bath leaks into bedroom below. There are no lights in or around the pool so swimming at night is difficult for kids. Much smaller than photos lead you to believe. The decks provide a beautiful view of ocean. Says it sleeps 12, which is a very cramped 12.

Allison there is light in the pool but the light was burnt out and has been on back order for the last 2 months. I believe the leak was called in and we had someone come and fix it. I don’t believe something as small as this needed to be addressed on a review. Usually tenants will call or email us for minor issues. We all have homes and unfortunately it is not always in perfect working order but we along with our management company endeavor to do our best for our tenants. In terms of crampness, yes rooms and baths are small but the living spaces which is where people want to be on vacation are ample. Living room and kitchen are open to mingling and the pool is a large area. We have hosted over 30 guests that pool with an entertainer.

Family getaway

Inside of house was definitely great. Porches and wood furniture need cleaning as some mold/stains on third floor. Realize weather but a good power wash should take care of that Kitchen well stocked. Newer appliances. Dishes Enough parking in tandem. Great neighborhood First time in outer banks. Distance to beach was fine but did not realize the elevation. Recent knee replacement. But made it over sand dunes every day. Yea! Want to return next year

Big family vaca!

It was our first gaming vaca since the kids and grandkids!! Ages from 11 mo to 60 yrs! Lots of amenities in the area. The house, pool, beach were all awesome! We were blessed with great weather! Rooms are kinda small, and bathrooms are small too. Kitchen was fully furnished with all our needs! Bring your own TP, paper towels, beach towels, and cooking spices. Owner is fabulous to communicate with! No issues at all. Neighbors can be a bit loud, but the house is fairly tight, and a white noise machine helped with the baby. The hot tub was to die for! Overall … we would love to return annually! Great host, great location, great rental home.

Great Location - Would Recommend

Great location - oceanfront property in a quiet part of OBX. can pretty much get to any location in OBX in 1-1.5b hours, so i thought it was the perfect location for exploring the area (just be aware its about 25-30 minutes to the grocery store, but there is a smaller market right down the street) Hosts were great, very responsive to any questions we had There is definitely some wear and tear on the property, but its a beachhouse so that is to be expected. Kitchen is very well stocked, cant think of anything we needed that wasn't available, although having a few extra kitchen towels would have been nice my only real complaint is that we had some issues with the master 2nd floor bathroom leaking onto the bunk beds in the room below. Also had an issue with the window leaking in one of the other bedrooms during a heavy storm so while i cant give 5 stars, i would certainly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking for a true oceanfront property to stay at
