Relax and recharge with coastal fun and fresh air in this amazing Silver Strand beach neighborhood. Set behind a private fence, this recently renovated home has rare patio's in both the front and back, doubling it's entertaining space and air conditioning.
With an open concept living area, fully equipped kitchen and formal dining space, this 2 bed / 1 bath home comfortably sleeps 5. Enjoy life at the beach with restaurants and many water activities all within an easy walk of the property.
Located less than one block away from the mouth of Channel Islands Harbor, your spoiled for a variety of water activities. Channel Island Beach also known as "Kiddie Beach" is just 250 ft away. It's a great spot to sit & watch sailboats come and go and the sunset over the Channel Islands.
Adults wanting more action can follow the walkway along the harbor to Silver Strand Beach, best know for surfing & boogie boarding. Channel Islands Sport Fishing is a short walk back up Victoria Ave where you can book a fishing trip or whale watching excursion.
Just a block away you will find several eateries, a convenience/grocery store, a yoga studio, hair salon and The Arting Co.
Inside the house, the main living area features a 50" flat screen TV, a sleeper sofa & casual chairs. There is a dining/game table that seats 4. The entire house has Bluetooth streaming capabilities.
An island in the kitchen is a great spot for coffee or to set up a buffet. The kitchen is equipped with a 5 burner gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and a full sized refrigerator with ice maker. There is a coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot, pots & pans and dinner service for 8.
When the weather is too nice to eat in, head out front to enjoy the private patio where a gas BBQ grill and outdoor dining set awaits.
The master bedroom is well-equipped with a queen bed & flat panel TV. The 2nd bedroom with a twin bunk over full is ideal for the kids. Both rooms open to the rear patio and share a generous bathroom with a tub/shower combo.
The back patio is a true gem! The center is covered with sails to provide both shade and privacy. The sides are open to enjoy the sun during the day and the moon and stars at night. There is plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy. When you're ready to go to the beach we have boogie boards, coolers and beach chairs!
A neat and comfortable package, perfect for a family or small group of 5 or 6!
No topless or bottomless sunbathing allowed.
If you charge an electric vehicle at the cottage there will be an additional ($85) fee.
A $100 pet fee per pet.

Great Beach Getaway with the pup!

We really enjoyed the home, location and how close it was to walk to Silver Strand Beach! It was the first time we have taken our pup to the beach and he loved it! We also met some very nice neighbors and beach walkers. We highly recommend and will be back.

Convenient cottage in silver strand

The cottage worked great for our family of four. It was well equip with things for the beach and had several outdoor seating options. It was right next to a small harbor beach and short walk to the main beach. It is also located around the corner from a general store and a few casual restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a well-appointed house - an easy walk to the beach. The kiddie beach is across the street, and Silver Strand beach is a short walk. There are beach chairs and boogie boards in the garage. The back deck is delightful - great spot for just relaxing and/or having a meal. The owner is attentive and responsive.

Love, LOVE, LOVED this cute house which was close to EVERYTHING

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was simply perfect! This house is close to EVERYTHING. Had a blast even though I was crying inside at times as we were there for our youngest child, the "baby" college orientation. Will definitely stay again! Cute Beach Cottage

The cottage is a cute, cozy bungalow within easy walking distance to Silverstrand beach. It has a fun back patio and the cottage is situated in a great location, making it idyllic for surfing and enjoying long walks on the beach. Loved it here !!

I really enjoyed staying in the Beach Cottage and my pets seemed quite comfortable as well. Very close, approx 1.5 miles to the shopping center on Channel Island blvd. It was like home away from home for us. Very clean. Neighbors are super nice and its a very pet friendly neighborhood šŸ˜€ Five stars across the board. Will rent again in the future if available. So happy I found this place on VRBO.

Beach days

This was our second summer at this property. We truly enjoy the property especially its back & front patios and itā€™s proximity to the beach. Itā€™s a great getaway while still being close to shopping, eateries; anything you might need. Just a couple house keeping suggestions; the bathroom needs new rugs & the master bedroom desperately needs new window blinds. We will definitely be back!

Silver Strand Cottage

We stayed at the Silver Strand cottage for 5 days. It is a cozy cottage just up from the kiddy beach and the local store. Location was excellent for our sunset walks to the jetty. The cottage had everything we needed, except the coffee maker broke halfway through our stay. The master bed could use and upgrade to a king, but otherwise all was good. The owner was very responsive. We would recommend this cottage to others.

Fabulous Beach Cottage

The house is updated and well appointed. The beachy decor has designer touches throughout. The furnishings are comfortable and the garage is filled with beach toys, bikes , boards wagons, rolling coolers, chairs umbrella and beach towels. Having a front and back patio gave us the option of a sea breeze from the front patio or more warmth and seclusion in the back. The host was very hands on and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and that everything was OK.

Our stay at Silver Strand

We had THE BEST time at Georgeā€™s cottage! Everything we needed was there (and more!!) the property was clean, check in was a total breeze and George was super easy to communicate with. Absolutely LOVED that there was an outdoor shower. So convenient! Everything we needed for thr beach was included and I totally recommend Silver Strand beach!! Kiddie beach was nice was sipping coffee or taking a stroll but I was worried to let my kids swim since there was so many seals and sea lions, but We all loved walking there and just watching the sea animals. We came to California for a wedding but really the most memorable part of our trip was the cottage and how convenient it was to everything. Walking distance to store, restaurant, cafe, and BEACHES!!!

Fantastic, canā€™t wait to do it again!

George was so helpful, quickly responsive to any questions, and polite and respectful, as we were to him. The fully fenced yard was wonderful and we walked to kiddy and ā€œbigā€ beach twice each day to play in the waves and sand! Cruiser bikes and boogie boards in garage were a blast and beds were comfy, except the pull out couch, which worked fine on the floor, sure needs more support! George makes it easy to shower with wonderful hot water on the back porch to get sand off. Thanks George!! Weā€™ll do this again in a couple years, if the world still has life on it!

Great little cottage!

This little cottage was the perfect spot for an easy and relaxing beach stay. Our two kids loved using the boogie boards to take to the beach, which is a short walk away. It was so nice to have the outdoor shower for them to clean up after time at the beach. The owner was very prompt in responding to questions and communicated well. It was a little tight in the living room for three adults and two kiddos to relax and watch tv in the evening on the small couch and two small chairs, but we had kiddos sit on the floor and that worked fine. The linens seemed very worn, but we arenā€™t super picky people so it didnā€™t bother us that much. There is a little corner grocery that was an easy walk, and then the farmerā€™s market (5 min) drive was awesome. If you are looking for a quiet, lazy, and relaxing stay, this is a great little place!

We had some trouble getting into the house but the owner was quick to help us.

Very nice property. Needs a new toaster (takes three cycles to toast bread) and hot pads (very dirty) in kitchen. Plenty of beds and lots of beach needs (boogie boards, chairs, etc.) Both front & back patios were enjoyed. I would suggest some cleaning for the many fake plants. Overall a wonderful property. We would certainly recommend this property & use it again.
