Recently remodeled beach house. This beautiful property is located right on Sheridan Beach. Private path to a spectacular beach. Perfect for a family getaway. Sleeps up to 14 guests. Five bedrooms 3 bathrooms. All new furniture and appliances. Central air conditioning. You can visit breweries, wineries and distilleries in the area. Spend your days soaking up the sun on the beach or take in the outlet malls or the local casinos in Michigan City. Close to South Bend Indiana where you can take in a Notre Dame game!

Great location

Great house for friends and family to get together for a week. We could see the lake from the house, and take a walk over the dune to go to the beach/see sunset.

This will be our go-to place.

The property is perfect for a summer vacation on the beach. The five bedroom for perfect for our family. Bathrooms and showers are clean and fresh. Plan on doing it again next year.

Location is excellent.

To summarize, its a cute home in an excellent location and we'd probably return based on who was traveling with us. We had stayed in this home about 12 years ago (under previous ownership) so we knew most of its shortcomings. It's an old beach cottage that has lots of charm so don't expect a bunch of modern amenities. That being said, the AC kept the house cool, the internet worked well, the kitchen was fine (and well stocked with nice dishes, glasses and silverware) and the king/queen beds were very comfortable. Another bonus is the fact that there's FOUR parking places (Five if you're creative). Personally, I think of full beds as singles so its more accurate to say that it sleeps 10, maybe 11 if you count the daybed on the front porch. Given that the dining table can really only seat 8, I'm not sure where you'd feed another 7 guests anyway. The house has 3 full bathrooms - the two on the upper levels are a little tight but modern and clean. The basement 'bathroom' is completely serviceable but the stairwell to access it is pretty steep so best for 10-50 year-olds. The owners definitely made some nice upgrades to the property and the interior design is well done. I don't have a lot of bad to say; the back patio needs some serious work as the pavers have heaved, sunk, etc and we had two minor injuries on it so we decided to avoid it. The grill has seen better days and we didn't feel safe using it so we avoided it as well. If you take anything away from this - you're paying for a perfect location.

Family vacation

The location and beach access were great. Bedrooms plentiful but bathrooms were small and the largest bathroom in the basement. When we arrived the one shower was full of sand but the management was very responsive and sent some one to clean it right away.

Wonderful beach weekend!

We had an incredible time at this beach house! The location was fabulous and the house had an awesome backyard which led down to a beautiful private beach. The photos on the listing do not do it justice! We had 9 adults and a toddler, and between the living areas and outdoor space, we felt like we had plenty of space to hang out and enjoy a relaxing weekend. Check in process was smooth and easy, and the owner and property managers were very responsive when I had a question. We would absolutely come back!

Great location!

The house location is incredible and exactly what we had hoped for. The house was clean, well stocked, and met all our needs with young kids. The walk to the beach was fine for our young kids, but it did wear them out, so could be challenging for some. The house does have 3 full bathrooms with two tubs and one with a shower. I had read a review that the only full bath was on the main floor, but the homeowners updated to add a full bath on the second floor, which was perfect. We didn’t receive any checkout instructions, so we cleaned up, took out the trash, and left, which was the easiest experience to date.

Nice beach stay

Great location and beautiful beach area. Loved the kid toys for the beach. Only issues were that the beach towels were dirty and they didn’t supply trash bags or dish soap. Not a huge deal but wish we would have known ahead of time so we could have brought some to use.

Wonderful family vacation

Our party of 15 (8 adults & 7 children; ranging from 6 to newborn) had a great beach vacation! Loved the private beach access and the many accommodations that come with the house! We will definitely be returning again to Michigan City to make more memories!

Awesome Beach House on Lake Michigan

Great location with all the amenities, including beautiful stocked kitchen, plenty of places to relax, large dining table, comfortable beds. Close to restaurants, wineries, casino. Owner is great to work with. Right on the beach!

A wonderful place!

As soon as I walked in it made me happy! There was so much room, great kitchen , located on the beach, and decorated beautifully. So much to do from shopping to wine tasting and so much more. I can’t wait to book it each year! Thanks for a great vacation!

Beach location awesome!

This property has an incredible location. The trail to the beach and the outdoor area is great. The bedrooms are generous and very clean. We had 12 women here who had the time of our life. Plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the beautiful shore line! It wasn’t even summer and we still enjoyed the outside area and activities around the area to do from wineries to shopping to the casino!

Wonderful Experience

We had a mini family reunion and had a truly wonderful experience. The house had plenty of room and there were a lot of things for kids and adults to do. The proximity to the beach and the sunsets were highlights. The owners were gracious and responsive. Would definitely like to return again.

Great location and property for large families or groups. Close to everything.

We spent one wonderful at this property. There were 12 in our group including six grandkids. We all had a super stay. So close to the lake. A quiet, peaceful location. Plenty of space for everyone. We understand the property went through a significant upgrade and it showed. House has lots of character. But layout of the house is basically unchanged. Out of 21/2 bathrooms in the house only one bathroom upstairs for four bedrooms felt very limited. House has plenty of sand toys for kids, assortment of life vests, cook out gear, great patio. There was plenty to do around there from the zoo, parks, light house, blueberry picking, eating out places, grocery stores etc etc. Would not mind coming back for another stay. Vijay C

Charming Beach Retreat

The beach is a nice, flat 2-minute walk from the back of the house. Even though the houses seem tightly packed in this area, the beach never felt crowded. There was some initial confusion about who had my reservation, because the owner hired the Beach Walk Management company to manage the property locally. After a few phone calls everyone was straightened out. Beach Walk Mgmt. was a great asset as they were very prompt and happy to respond to our issues. We called about an empty propane tank and they were out with one 15 minutes later. We had a few other minor issues and they were just as responsive with those. This house is listed as sleeping 10-12 people, but with 2 of the beds being full sized bunk beds, that could be a stretch. We found the beds to be very comfortable. In addition, the dining room seats only 8 tightly. The outdoor table had seating for 8 also and is at the basement level of the house. The kitchen is small, but well-equipped and there is a gas grill on the patio. The house is also listed as having 2 1/2 baths, which is correct, however the main level has a full bath with tub and it is has a door to the bedroom and another door to the kitchen, an awkward set up with small, curious grandchildren. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and only a half bath. The other full bath (shower, no tub) is in the basement. It's an old house and I guess they did what they could with the space. Interior door knobs didn't work too well, especially the bathroom door off the kitchen which didn't work at all, we had to hold it closed with the garbage can.The lake is barely visible from the back porch because there is a slight sand hill on the path to the beach which is just high enough to block the view. Sunsets are partially visible due to being blocked by neighbors trees. All in all, we had a great time at the beach.
