Great location. Super second floor deck. Big, comfy family room with large table for board games, big screen TV and interesting assortment of toys and games for kids. Well appointed dine in kitchen.

Great location and space

We had a great stay at the house. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not feel on top of each other. Beautiful sunsets over the bay. Everything we needed for the week was there in the kitchen. If we come back to long beach island we will definitely try to stay here.

This vacation property was in a good location, quiet and relaxin—convenient to the beach or bay and short drive to downtown Surt City. The communication with the owner was excellent; they were responsive, helpful, and made the check-in process seamless. While the home itself was clearly dated and could benefit from some modern updates, it offered plenty of space for our group of seven, including two young children, to spread out and feel comfortable. Overall, it was a functional and well-located spot that suited our needs for a family getaway.

Absolute Hidden Gem

This was the second time my friends and I stayed at this house and we had an absolute blast! The house was the perfect amount of space for all 7 of us. 2 full bathrooms was very useful, especially after the beach! The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Marybeth and her husband were fantastic hosts and were readily available when needed. You seriously cannot beat this price! We would 100% rent again! Highly recommend!

Beach House

Quiet neighborhood away from the much busier part of the island. Plenty of room for the family, dated but typical LBI beach house that provides all you need for week at beach. Hosts were very easy to deal with and very responsive.

LBI vacation in Harvey Cedars

We had lots of space and the home is very well-stocked. Access to our boat, in a slip across the street, was a real perk. The neighbors were very friendly and Mary Beth is incredibly pleasant and accommodating. We hope to return next year!

Great place for a great price

My five friends and I stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The location is super close to the beach but in a nice and quiet location. The house was slightly outdated but everything worked great and there was everything we needed throughout our trip. The host Marybeth was extremely helpful and responded quickly with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again. You can’t beat the price!

A Classic Beach House

This is a no-frills property that provides everything you need for a week at the beach! The building has character and is a nice, cozy getaway in a quiet neighborhood close to both the bay and the ocean. Communication with the owners was easy and they were nice to talk to. Our family enjoyed the classic beach house feel (and especially the deck). If this is something you will also enjoy, this property is for you.

Great Vacation

This property provided for us everything we needed for a 2 week vacation where we have different family members joining us throughout the 2 weeks. There was plenty of room and loved that we had 3 areas to dine, one near kitchen, one upstairs and one on the deck. It was 2 blocks from the beach, it was a quick drive into Harvey Cedars for ice cream and restaurants and close enough to Surf City if we wanted to go that way. Owners were very accommodating and responsive when I had questions. Would rent again if we find our way back to Long Beach Island.

Great fun

Grown kids and I hosted family and friends and enjoyed ourselves immensely during our stay. LBI is very crowded the week of July Fourth and the BBQ gas grill on the front porch was a very welcome aid to avoid the traffic and waits at restaurants. The six beach passes ensured we and our guests could enjoy the 9 out of 10 days of wonderful weather and have something to show the lifeguards who checked almost daily for our passes. Dishwasher made cleanup easy as did the washing machine and dryer. Neighbors were friendly and the owners were extremely responsive and also very friendly. Mary Beth provided great tips on where to shop and eat and the best way to reach the beach.

Excellent value

We were very happy to find a rental in this price range that has four bedrooms instead of the usual three and two bathrooms instead of one. There are also two common areas - the kitchen/living room downstairs and a large upstairs living room. It's not like a fancy hotel and more like our own older house with its accumulated minor imperfections, such as not-quite-even paint jobs, a door that sticks, and window air conditioners instead of central air. But who cares? It was certainly a lot cleaner than home(!) and it worked out great for us.

Tons of room, friendly owners

Very roomy and comfortable. Not fancy and reasonably priced, which I prefer to fancy and unaffordable. Second floor family/living room opens on nice balcony w grill, table, and lovely bay views. Nice big TV but no cable or streaming services - however, owners have thoughtfully supplied an HDMI cable so you can connect your laptop and easily stream whatever services you subscribe to. (Note that HDMI cable has HDMI connector at both ends so check your laptop to see if you can plug a HDMI into it. No worries if not- just pick up an HDMI/USB-C cable before leaving home or have Amazon deliver one to the house). Verrrrry comfortable beds. Great location - very peaceful bayside block close to nature but also very close to Harvey Cedar shops and restaurants. Quick drive north to Barnegat Light and quick drive south to Surf City. Owners friendly and thoughtful - for example, texted on a rainy day w suggestions of things to do. Would happily stay again.

House needs maintenance

The house is long overdue for an up keeping. All windows and doors very difficult to open or to close because they do not longer fit properly or were broken. Very noisy air conditioning (you need earplugs to sleep at night). Only one TV that did not receive regular channels, only movie channels. Found several insects and you need insect spray (one is provided to you). House came with all necessary accessories for the kitchen and bathroom. Prompt access to the owner. Ceiling fan cord on the second floor broke and never repaired.

Week Stay

Hosts were fantastic and quick to respond on anything we needed. This no frills property was perfect for our needs. We had more than enough room and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet! Overlooking the bay, the deck gave us a place to hang and get some sun and have delicious dinners from the grill.

Great rental - good value

House was clean and functioned well for our group of 6. Marybeth is very accessible, accommodating, and responsive. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the house was void of any items from owner - closets and drawers were empty no clutter - set up like a true rental. We liked that it was in a little neighborhood by the bay- safe for walking and running away from boulevard but a block or two farther from the beach- still very easy walk or bike ride. Not fancy - no bells and whistles - but good value for LBI - we would return.

Home was spacious with plenty of room for my family of eight. Very comfortable home.

I can't say enough about what a great time my family and I had over the week we stayed in this home. Plenty of space, slept all eight of us very comfortably. House is a quick walk to beautiful huge beaches (that were anything but crowded). The kids enjoyed crabbing at the many great spots within a block or two from the home. Neighborhood was quiet and welcoming. Just a fun and relaxing week and the owner was always available if we had any questions.
