This condo was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that was misleading, was the laundry was not in the condo-but a short walk away outside. Not terrible-just wasn’t aware it was separate and we had to pay separately to use it. Otherwise, everything was amazing!

Very nice property with ocean views from every room. We loved it, the kids loved having ocean views in too.

Great stay

We were happy with this place. It was big, clean, and had a great view from all windows. No noise from the street and parking, which was a big plus. We saw turtles and seals on the beach next to the apartment which was pretty cool. Great location with easy access to all parts of Maui.

Excellent stay in Kihei

Property was clean and well equipped; the views were amazing. Easy access to Kihei, West Maui, and the road to Hana, the cooler provided in the unit was a big plus which we used a lot. Within the first hour of arriving, walked by a sea turtle napping on the beach right out front. Amazing trip.

Great location and clean

Great location! Beach is on the back porch. Watched the sunset from the back every evening. Had beach chairs, all the kitchen utincels, beach toys, towels and more. Place is a bit outdated but it's clean so didn't bother us at all. The location and amenities outdid it for sure! Would stay again!

Beach access and sunsets were fabulous. Location on the island was great. Good communication/directions for check in. Good parking and easy access to condo. Condo unit needs some work as main light would not turn off, fan would not work., management said to turn off main breaker to get big light to go off, but then we had no kitchen light. No one came to fix, so whole week we had to deal with that. Many lamps didn't work and outlets too loose to hold a charger. Also 3 beach chairs left outside on balcony are ripped/worn through and unusable, sadly. Awesome location amd condo is ok, but I would probably stay in a different unit next time.

Fantastic View!!!

The Kihei location and ocean view from this property make it a special find. Watching the waves from your own lanai each day was fantastic and added to the "hawaii" experience. The condo building is quiet with great parking. Many awesome restaurants and shopping near by. Very convenient! I would stay here again for sure. That said, the beds really do need attention. They are very uncomfortable. Adding a foam topper to all beds would make a HUGE difference with minimal cost. I bought a 3 inch foam topper for the twin bed for my daughter and it saved the day. Without it, she was planning to hit the couch. I left the topper there for the next guest. The toaster is also shot and needs replaced. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time on vacation. Thank you for having us! That view is worth a million bucks!

Beautiful Sunsets!

The Kauhale Makai 434 best feature is a fantastic, unimpeded view of the ocean, Maalaea Bay and Puʻu Kukui so the sunsets from the balcony are hard to beat. The complex is centrally located and it doesn't take long to get most places on the island by car. Now getting to the restaurants and shopping in Kihei will still take a car, as nothing is close enough for walking. If you've got independent teens like us, you'll tire of them asking you to take them places. Staying closer to the Kamaole beaches might be a better fit. Also the beach itself is pretty rocky with only a small strip of sand out in the ocean where you can walk without water shoes. Don't expect a sugar sand beach. On the plus side, they've got a small but nice pool, kids pool and hot tub. The unit was fairly well outfitted. They had many beach towels, a nice umbrella and several beach chairs. The kitchen had some fairly new pans, glasses and a decent amount of silverware and knives. There was quite the collection of spices so don't bother buying until you inspect what is already there. The kitchen needs some things though - a new large frying pan some addt'l plates or cereal bowls , and some BBQ gear (tongs, spatula). Speaking of BBQ, the complex was in the process of replacing the grills with nice, new KitchenAid units. I'm guessing the mattresses have been replaced as we had no complaints in that department. Where they could invest in the furniture is updating the patio furniture which consists of a rusting iron bistro set and a few cheap aluminum pool chairs with plastic backing/seats. How about something nicer and more comfortable to really enjoy those million dollar sunsets!?

Mooi appartement, goed ingericht. Fijne ligging en mooi uitzicht vanaf het balkon. Alleen jammer dat de balkondeur van de masterbedkamer niet open kon en er geen 4 stoelen op het balkon stonden (tafel op balkon wat krap voor 4 personen)

Amazing beach vacation

We enjoyed our week long stay at the property. Great views and convienet access to many restaurants and things to do on Maui. We had to adjust to the heavy subs every afternoon, but the mornings were always great. Good beach for walking out swimming, but not so much for waves or snorkeling.

Amazing view, great family spot

This unit is great for a family. While the interior could use an update, all you need is here, and you don’t have to share a bathroom with your kids. The pool and hot tub were very nice and it’s on the quiet side of Kihei. And you truly cannot beat the view from the lanai!

Unit was clean but property was under construction the whole time. Very noisy during the day.

I have stayed at this location many times in the past and always enjoyed the piece and quite, but not this time. I asked about the construction before I booked and was told it wasn’t bad not to worry. They jack hammered most days which forced us to leave or stay away longer than planned. Was real issue the day we went snorkeling and wanted to come back to rest but couldn’t. I recommend you check directly with the property before booking this condo. Construction appears to be going on for several more months. Parking was a problem as well. Typically reserved spot but because of construction it was open parking with many spots blocked off for the construction equipment. This would have been nice to know in advance since we arrived on a Sunday and the office was closed. Had to park all the way up front in visitor parking and Condo was all the way at the back. I will do better research next time or stay at different property. This was the worst experience I have ever had at this condo complex. Very disappointed ☹️.
