This charming two-story three-bedroom, three-full-bath villa offers close to 2,000 square feet of living space, two porches, a balcony, and a convenient one-car garage.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious living room, dining room and fully appointed kitchen with breakfast counter, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, Keurig, dishwasher and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. In addition to the main living areas downstairs, there is one guest bedroom with a full bath as well as a large screened back porch with access from the kitchen and bedroom.

Upstairs you’ll discover the master suite and additional guestroom. The master suite has a generous master bath with a large garden tub, a separate glass-enclosed shower, a double vanity and a separate commode room. The additional upstairs bedroom has plenty of closet space and a large full bath. Other features include 9 and 10-foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning, and lots of storage areas.

Everything was clean and plenty of space for 5 people. Cons: due to the narrow driveway and landscaping, we had to move our car every time we wanted to use the golf cart. Also, the home smelled very musty and we had to wash all of our clothes and air everything out once we returned home due to the smell.

I was there 4 years ago in another villa during this time and it happened again. This is very bad for sleeping. My sister ended up on the living couch a couple of nights to get out f the back bedroom.

Nice house in great little community

Close proximity to the beach. The golf cart was great to have! The bikes were too-our girls rode to the beach several times. Pools, fitness center and tennis courts were nice. We really appreciated the well supplied garage of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, etc! Grilled dinner twice on the very clean grill, which is usually not likely in a rental. A few cons: queen bedroom downstairs needs a dresser and mattress was very uncomfortable. A few more stocked items would have been nice. There was NO kitchen hand or dish soap. Only one dishwasher pod. Only one trash bag. At least salt and pepper could be provided. Overall a great stay though! Would recommend Martinique for sure!

Vermont Sisters' Trip to Gulf Shores

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was wonderful. Beautiful location and the facilities were great. Just what we were looking for. Quiet side of the island, close to the beach and with pools and hot tub. The location was convenient to the Bon Secour National Wildlife hiking trails - where we saw lots of turtles, an alligator, and nesting ospreys. We took day trips to the Foley farmers market, toured the Mobile Bay area, a trip to the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, and a Ferry trip to Dauphin Island where we walked along the Audubon trails and drove up to Bellingrath gardens. We cooked in most evenings and enjoyed fresh seafood everyday. The Sea Chalet was a delight - plenty of room for five sisters. With five of us staying a week it would have been nice to have more than one roll of T. paper in each of the 3 bathrooms and an extra kitchen garbage bag. But the dollar store was a minute away to pick up the extras. We called maintenance one morning for a clogged garbage deposal (our fault) and a person came by within minutes to fix it. Overall - 5 stars!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Martinique property is beautiful. The house itself was outdated and not very clean. The upstairs TV didn't work when we first arrived but they must have already known about it because the next day maintenance arrived with a new one. The fridge went out. We reset it and it worked again. The drawers at the bottom are broken and do not open easily. The kitchen only had one pot. The dryer doesn't dry without going through the cycle twice. We found a used Band-Aid on the back porch and the floors appeared to not have been swept recently. There was hair in the bathroom sinks and upstairs shower. I would stay at the property again but not in this house.

A Hidden Gem Beach Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Martinique on the Gulf. It’s a wonderful family friendly beach getaway! The resort itself is beautiful with beach homes, cottages, and condos spread throughout the property. The condos are beachfront which give a nice view of the water and a close walk to the beach. Our first stay years ago was the condos. It was a great fit for our family at the time with 3 small children. However, we loved staying in the Sea Chalet this stay because it gave our family a bit more room to spread out. This trip our little ones had grown into 2 college kids and one high schooler. They had plenty of room to spread out and they loved the golf cart to get us back and forth to the beach and the pools as well. Everything was clean and well maintained. The grounds of the resort are full of beautiful flowers, palms, and even ponds with frogs croaking loudly in the moonlight. The beaches are pristine and not at all crowded at the time we stayed. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful at the resort. Alicia in the office in particular was super helpful to us as we drove in from Texas and had a delayed departure waiting for family to come in. Because we had an unintended late start we would not make it in time to drop our dogs at the boarding facility in Gulf Shores. I called and she went the extra mile to help us find a solution. We will definitely be coming back to one of our favorite spots to relax and spend time with family!

Sea Chalet

The stay at Sea Chalet was very relaxing. Just what you want in a family beach trip. The house was clean and comfortable. The community with the golf carts, tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, and the beach is all you need. Be prepared to dine at the house.

Not so friendly management but very clean house

It used to be a little more secluded with less people. This year it was very busy, like any other spring break resort. The house was slightly outdated but very clean and homey. My only true complaint was that the property management wasn’t very friendly and came off as rude more than once. The new dollar general store was a quick ride away to get any last minute items we may have needed and we loved heading towards ft Morgan to tacky jacks for dinner- the shrimp and grits was delicious!!

Martinique on the Gulf - Great Vacation Spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My 3rd trip to Gulf Shores and my 3rd stay at Martinique on the Gulf. My family, friends, and I have always loved the homes we've stayed in, and really love the community. Martinique is a great locations, off the main strip, yet close to good restaurants, numerous activities, the zoo, and Fort Morgan. We did parasailing from the Club Resort just a few miles down the road, enjoyed Bushwackers (adult milkshake) at Tacky Jack's 2, seafood a Behind the Pines, rented bicycles at Tiki's for a ride through the state park, and visited the zoo at it's new location. Martinique has 2 swimming pools and a great beach. The rental homes have golf carts for getting around the community, and we used the propane grill almost every night. There are several hiking trails nearby. The homes are very beautiful and clean, with very reasonable pricing. I'm sure I'll be back for a 4th visit in the future.

Lovely Place

It was clean, neatly organized, felt safe and not far from the pristine private beach. We especially appreciated the golf cart and bicycles. Although it was not our plan to watch television there were some late nights we wanted to watch a movie but the cable access was very poor and the remotes did not work well. There were 4 adults on this trip and two of us shared a bedroom with twin beds. The twin mattress was very uncomfortable and the bed linen was of a very low grade quality which made sleeping a little rough. . Sleep for me in a comfortable bed is very important. The other two beds were comfortable according to travel companions. The location of the resort is about 10 miles from main stores so make sure you have everything you need including extra toilet paper as the resort does not supply this beyond what’s there when you arrive. Overall it was a good experience and will contribute to an enjoyable memory.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Chalet and Martinique. The accommodations were as pictured, or better. Very clean. The house was well equipped and plenty of space for six of us. The beds were comfortable and perfect for our group with adults and young adults. We liked the natural setting of the resort and having the golf cart to get around and haul ‘stuff’ was perfect. The only, very small, thing was the stove top did not work so good. It took a long time to get a kettle of water to boil. An inconvenience yes, but not enough to lower our rating. We liked the location. Close to every thing but far enough way for a peaceful stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Always a pleasant experience at Martinique! There were a few golf carts issues, that took some time to resolve with maintenance and the home was damaged prior to us arriving but maintenance made due with what they had in short time.

Relaxing, fun place to vacation.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Martinique on the Gulf is a well-planned and well-run resort creating privacy, quiet, and natural beauty. Teen-age grands loved bikes, golf cart, pool close to us, uncrowded beach, star-gazing on beach at night, hiking in Bon Secour. Parents loved that kids had plenty to amuse themselves by themselves. Sea Chalet was clean, well-decorated and furnished, and had a delightful private screen porch on the back. We plan to go back.
