Reviewer Comments: Having been born right slap in the middle of 1950, I've had a lot of time to observe and learn just how good, honest & decent people behave. Also, I've witnessed and bore the bad experience from those who were less than honorable in their business dealings. I can without reservation assure anyone considering renting a property from Jekyll Realty that they will not be disappointed. Not being all that savvy with doing business online, I found it easy to reserve the house we stayed in. We live 550 miles from Jekyll so its about an honest 10 hour travel taking breaks for meals and rest area stops. One of Jekyll Realty representatives probably realized that and gave me a courtesy call to let me know they would have everything ready when we arrived. Lighting, temperature setting and our key pack would be there waiting. That was wonderful. That allowed us to stop stressing over arriving to their office before closing that day. We could simply relax and take it easy on the interstate. I appreciated that immensely! Thank You sir for the call. We enjoyed our stay very much, Thank you again.

We loved the updated furniture and appliances and the decor.I loved having the desk. I used it to write cards to mail and do my Bible Study. We did see a few small bugs in the kitchen area, but saw the schedule for pest control. It is in a quite area and only heard a little barking from the neighbors. We have been to Jekyll Island for many years and love the area.

Love the furniture and decor, kitchen chairs roll, good water pressure, love the desk, wrote cards to send and did Bible study there. We did see some bugs in the kitchen and the schedule for pest control. This duplex is in a good location. We had a great stay here, all 4 of us.

The location to the beach is really nice and the house is cute but there is a major bug issue. The beds are the hardest thing we have ever slept on and the sheets are close to sandpaper. I looked for another place to stay but everything was booked. We also had a tree branch fall on our car the first day. We have rented many different houses on the island and have been happy every time but won’t rent this one again.

Golden Days Duplex was a last minute pick and we loved it!!!! Super clean and stocked with everything we needed!! The location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants to walk to and an easy walk to the beach. We loved the quiet little neighborhood and friendly people!! We would highly recommend this house for couples or a family!! Thank you for awesome stay!!

Christmas Surprise Getaway

Everything was fine. Location was perfect. Just bring your personal items and feel like home. We stayed over the Christmas holidays and Jeckell Island goes all out and was such a great time. You could ask for a better area to be in. Will book it again in a flash.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a wonderful time at this rental. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. It's a short walk to the beach, which was a big plus. We also loved the very well-stocked kitchen, since we cooked almost all our meals, and the laundry room! And Jekyll Realty was very friendly and professional. They even came by and opened up the house for us so we didn't have to stop by the office. My only suggestion would be that it needs a deep-clean in some places that would not normally get taken care of in a routine cleaning, like the bathroom fan vents for example. But it definitely didn't feel dirty or uncomfortable. Just some details need fixing. :) We had a great vacation. There is so much to do on JI that in a week we didn't even leave the island except for a quick grocery run! Overall, the rental exceeded our expectations. I would definitely stay here again! (Note: Some reviews I read said that the living room furniture was very of August 2022, this has evidently been fixed. It looks new and was quite comfortable!)

relaxing and stress free

The home was less than 100 yards from the beach. Jeykll Island was less crowded and quieter than St. Simons. Very relaxing and stress-free environment. The Reserve Steakhouse is a 5-star dining facility, Driftwood Bistro was excellent as was the Wee Pub. Jekyll Realty was extremely helpful when needed.

July 2022 Stay

We loved staying in Golden Days while visiting Jekyll island! The home is lovely with recent interior renovations and wonderful new leather furniture in living room. Plenty of comfy seating...a couch and two loveseats. Some things we loved: -short walk to beach...1/4 mile -nice back patio with table and Chairs -covered carport -pantry space to stash food -super quiet, safe neighborhood Some improvements that could be made: -need throw rugs in bedrooms...don’t like to brush sand off feet before getting in bed. 🙁 -bathroom tile is old and very dirty. Needs a deep clean or new epoxy paint. -dishwasher is terrible and really loud. We tried putting only plates on the bottom and that seemed to help the dishes up top get clean. -need hose outside to rinse off sand! -Landscaping is out of control! 1 hour of trimming would have this place beautiful! Azaleas are impeding the sidewalks and blocking views out windows! - need more than 2 coffee mugs! A few small improvements would make this a 5 star stay!

Our experience with Jekyll Realty was great— easy and convenient booking, check-in, and communication. The house was perfect for our needs— convenient to just about everything, great condition, and comfortable. Our only complaint is about the dishwasher — it is extremely loud and doesn’t do a great job of cleaning. Besides that it has been a great stay!

We stayed in this same unit June/July 2020 We reported the living room furniture was worn out, with plywood under the cushions. October 2021 it still has the same worn out furniture with the plywood under the cushions. This needs to be taken care of as soon as possible.The shrubs in front are so over grown we couldn't use the sidewalk into the unit.

October 2021 Stay

This is the second time we stayed at Golden Days. The scrubs was so over grown they almost covered the driveway and going into the carport also. The living room furniture needs replacement, by looking at it looks nice but when you sit down on it, it’s so uncomfortable, they have plywood under the pillows. We reported this the last time we stayed there about the furniture being worn out.

Well appointed duplex

The duplex was as advertised. Provided cozy shelter for family of 6 as we took advantage after amenities on /near Jekyll Island. Large table and adequate supply of chairs was sufficient for all of us to eat as a family. (Often not possible in many vrbo units) Was surprised to find that washer/dryer access required going outside and re-entering building via different door off rear patio so using laundry in evening was little cumbersome. Games/books and outdoor supplies were nice surprise.

Needs cleaning and updating

Location was great. The house looked clean on the surface but once you’re settled in you begin to see that it’s not clean at all. The carpet looks like it’s been there since the 1980’s and hasn’t been cleaned. I wouldn’t go barefoot 🙃. The floor mat going to the patio from kitchen needs to be thrown away. The showers don’t work right. All in all, sorry to say I can’t recommend. Needs TLC urgently. Very disappointed ☹️
