Come and enjoy a well appointed 3 bedroom log home located in the heart of Maggie Valley and overlooks the now retired theme park "Ghost Town in the Sky". The views are spectacular and the home is located on a mostly paved access with just a short distance of gravel that is on a flat surface just prior to the home. It sits on a nice maintained lot with end of the road privacy. Only minutes into downtown area of Maggie Valley.
Entering the home on the main level into a nice open living room area that features large windows to enjoy the views. With the open floor plan it opens up to the kitchen and dining room area. The gas log fireplace located in the living area is not operational per owner request. The master features a queen size bed with jetted tub and shower with a double vanity.
There is a 1/2 bath on the main level as well as a full size washer and dryer.
Upstairs features the guest bedrooms with queen size beds and a full bath with a tub/shower combination.

Beautiful Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If anything, it's prettier than the pictures suggest. It's an easy drive with relatively little up (until the last road) from the main drag in Maggie Valley, but the tree screen out the back makes it look like the whole valley is yours. It's close to the action, but feels secluded.Also, the internet is fast and reliable.

Perfect mountain get-away

Exceeded expectations. Lovely views, spacious living areas, wonderful wrap around deck. Decor detail was beautiful. Well-stocked on paper supplies, dinnerware, kitchen appliances, cleaning supplies, etc. There were 5 adults in our group: my spouse and I, son, daughter and son-in-law. Perfect for quality family time. Highly recommend! (The only issues were small ones: coffee pot needs thorough cleaning or replacement; sharp turn into driveway won't allow for large vehicle parking. We had no problem parking 3 avg. sized vehicles in the circular driver. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful Mountain Views

Cabin was just as described. You can enjoy beautiful views from the windows in the great room and on from the back deck. Has everything you need. Our grandchildren enjoyed s'mores every night over the fire pit on the deck! The only negative thing I would say is the mattresses are little hard and the owner might want to invest in a better mattress for each bedroom. Other than that we would definitely stay here again.

Plenty of wildlife, the house was very clean, and the rental company was extremely responsive when we found out the grill was out of propane. The road leading to the cabin was a little treacherous for a motorcycle though, as part of it is not paved.

Furniture was great, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend. One con I wish we knew about prior was the fireplace was not operational. Another thing to note is the roadway to the cabin is very steep so glad it didn’t have ice or snow or else I’m sure our AWD SUV would have struggled to make it. Overall great experience.

Georgeous View and Really Nice Cabin

Reviewer Comments: Thus is an awesome place. I would love to stay there again but I am handicapped and it was not wheelchair friendly. My walker wouldn't even fit in the door of the tiny den bathroom. No bars close to toilet or shower. Shower seat barely fit. But, for anyone else, this is an awesome vacation rental! My family loved it! Thank you!

Quiet and isolated

Property is very beautiful. Very clean upon arrival. Check in was very easy. Had several issues during the stay. AC froze up for two days during a heat wave. AC guy had to come out twice. The upstairs stayed hot even when the AC worked. Internet and TV did not work at all. We called several times on the status of getting at least the TV working, but manager only stated that they would contact owner to get it fixed. It was never fixed. I would not recommend unless you only need running water and electricity.

Great cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved this cabin. The location was awesome, secluded at the end of the road. There were elk, deer, and turkey roaming about yet we were only 5 mins from the main strip, Soco Road. The view was fabulous sitting in the heart of the valley surrounded by the mountains. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I would mention is the beds upstairs were hard and our guest couldn't even sleep on one of them. I would suggest mattress toppers, and if your particular about pillows I would bring your own. Also, there is nowhere to store your trash outside and no local trash pickup. We had a truck with a bed cover and just stored it there until we left. I would suggest the property managers install a bear box so guests can store trash outside without worrying about critters getting into it. Overall, we were very pleased with this property.

Beautiful home with no entertainment

We arrived at the location and had brought our slingshot on a trailer thinking a circle driveway would be great but the driveway is not big enough to turn a trailer. Also there are branches that were so low on the driveway it scraped the top of my Durango. The home is beautiful but you better bring toilet paper, paper towels and any other essentials you want/need. I hope you don’t plan on sleeping well because the beds are very uncomfortable! I had springs from the mattress putting so much pressure on my hips, they hurt for a week after we left. I called the property manager about the tv and internet not working. She blamed the weather and stated she would have to see what the owner would want to do about it. She stated she would call me back. That didn’t happen. Cell reception is awful at this location. So unless you want complete isolation, I wouldn’t suggest this location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation at Ghost Town Overlook exceeded expectations. The home is very spacious, layout is superb with separation of bedrooms. There were ample amenities and the home was very clean. Open concept provided plenty of space for our family vacation. The high-end furniture made it feel more like a lodge. The home feels secluded, yet is conveniently close to town.The large, partially covered, wrap-around deck provided superb views of the mountains and functional outdoor living space. We cooked meals using the gas grill and evenings were enjoyed around the gas fire pit. We even witnessed an elk wandering thru the yard.Melissa from Premier Vacation Rentals was very friendly and helpful, answering all our questions in a professional and expedient manner. She definitely went above and beyond!! We will work with her again when revisiting this area and would recommend this location and Premier Vacation Rentals to friends and family.

We stayed for 30 days and it was a wonderful break from the FL heat!

It is a pricey gorgeous, high quality home with numerous wonderful amenities. Our only complaints are the lack of consistent WiFi (not acceptable in today's connected environment) and very poor quality mattresses on all the beds (especially the prime bedroom). The tiny mounted TV and sketchy Dish TV reception didn't really bother us much. Consider a small dining table on the patio and more comfortable deck furniture. Neither the grill or gas fireplace unit had propane in the tanks so were unusable. Overall, it is a beautiful and well appointed home!

Beautiful cabin in a gorgeous location.

Pictures do not do the cabin justice. It is a cozy, well appointed home with amazing views. The only drawback is little to no internet and no ability to watch television except in the living room. It was a minor inconvenience but all else was great!

The cuckoo cabin

The cabin was perfect, great views, nice interior and fully stocked kitchen. If you have kids this is the perfect place - the TV has a parental control set so that all channels are for 12 and under, but wait! that’s not all, from 1am-7am the cuckoo clock in the dining area will remind you just how much fun you are having

Beautiful views but beds not great

The view was beautiful and the place was very well maintained and clean. The pictures that are online really did match how the house looks. The only issue was the beds, all the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. It was also the first place I rented that did not have toliet paper, you have to bring your own.

Overall impression

Overall good. Issue s with the TV. Finally got it to work but station selection very limited Basically terrible !! It took calling again and again to get the property manager to respond. The rental office is always closed, they give you one phone number and they’re just not responsive

Great Mountain Retreat

The rooms are perfectly decorated with a country style. Kitchen is well appointed with all we needed. Beds are comfortable. WiFi is slow but adequate and we were able to stream Netflix on the TV. Close to town and the Blue ridge Parkway. Asheville was about a 45 minute drive during rush hour.
