Inner Circle - Ground Floor - Close to Pool Gate

Aloha and Welcome to the Ohana.

Memorable sunsets are guaranteed almost every night in Maui. This condo is Kamaole Sands #5-114 and is a ground floor unit which is steps to the pool gate. It is located in the INNER CIRCLE. You will enjoy a spacious one bedroom, two bathroom unit which has been remodeled with granite counter tops, hard wood floors in the bedroom, Hawaiian artwork and tiled throughout the rest of the unit.

A king sized bed is located in the Master Bedroom. A fold-out couch in the living room allows guests to sleep in comfort. Air conditioning is available in the bedroom and the family room. You will enjoy all the amenities of home including a full size washer and dryer and dishwasher. Provided free are local phone calls in the unit. The unit is completely furnished from hair dryers to wine glasses to beach towels, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, and toys!

Experience the view from the lanai overlooking the beautiful gardens of the inner circle. The Wednesday Hula- party at the pool with live music and Hula lessons is a must. A gym is located on the grounds with weights & machines to keep up your workout routine. An activities desk is located near the pool where you can book excursions to the peak of Haleakala or a snorkel trip to Molikini. Whatever activity you desire, they can help arrange for you.

Kamaole Sands is located at the south end of the town of Kihei, adjacent to beautiful Wailea. It is truly a 'destination resort' on fifteen acres of tropically landscaped grounds with fountains, ponds, a foot bridge, and walking paths. The large pool, 2 hot tubs, and wading pool are perfect for family fun. There are four tennis courts and elevators in each building.

If golf is your love, you will experience love at first sight in South Maui. The weather is good year round and we are on the sunny side of the island with very little rain. Some of the best golf courses in the world are a few minutes away. Discounts are available for Resort guests at some local golf courses.

If shopping is your passion, many boutique shops along S. Kihei road in Kihei will entice you or head to Wailea town to the Shops At Wailea for some designer shopping to make even the most experienced shopper drop.

For the foodie, many culinary delights await you. Ask and I will make some great recommendations to meet any budget.

Update: In August 2022, a new sofa bed was installed. In April 2023, the sofa bed mechanism was replaced. In April 2023, a Barn Door put on the hallway to reduce noise in the Family Room from the Washer/Dryer. In Dec 2023, a new rice cooker was added and the Master shower over bath was removed and a new shower tiled in with a rain shower system.

Note: for stays less than 4 nights, a $25+tax registration fee will be charged. If booking via Book it Now, the charge will not be seen in the quoted amount. It will be added after I accept as an additional charge.

This condo could not have been more perfect for our vacation. AC in the bedroom and living room kept the unit cool, and everything from the mattress to the dining chairs were comfy. Great location in Kihei, right across from a wonderful beach. The condo itself was steps away from the pool and in the back of the complex so it was nice and quiet. I highly recommend this condo!

Fantastic location

This was a good, ground floor unit near the pool. Living room furniture was pleasant. Kitchen reasonably stocked for cooking. Showers nicely remodeled. Some funky details, but most troubling was the bedroom AC unit, which didn’t cool well and was noisy (compressor worn out?). Not the fault of the owner/unit, but it was also annoying how much construction affected the beauty, noise and convenience (limited parking near the unit during our stay).

Great time as always in Maui

Had a great stay in the condo. Ground floor is always so convenient and being able to walk out and access the pool area and the beautiful grounds. Kamaole Sands is my favourite spot to stay in all of Maui. The bed was also really comfortable which is also so nice.

Simple stay

The property was fine, it had all the basic amenities you would need. There were a few things that could use some attention: the shower head in the master bedroom leaked from the base, the a/c unit in the bedroom was a floor unit and was too loud and our child couldn't sleep, the a/c unit in the living room wasn't working well, couldn't keep up with the heat, and was growing mildew in the interior which gave off a musty oder, and most of the cookware was cheap non-stock coated cookware and that flaking off. A no-frills condo in a great location. Additionally, we booked a ground floor unit with a king bed and shortly before the arrival date we were asked to move to a second floor unit with a queen due to construction. We agreed as we did not want to be stranded on vacation, but there was no offer for rate reduction. We were traveling with a child and had to absorb the cost of renting additional equipment for them to be able to sleep in the same room as us.

Great property with close beach access!

Our family was told about this location (they rented an different condo in the same building). It was a beautiful property and even with construction happening you didn't really notice! All of the staff on property was helpful and kind. We walked to the beach almost every night to watch the sunset - we would highly recommend this location and unit. William was very kind when I messaged him about questions or concerns I had and responded in a timely manner. This was easily one of the most convenient and beautiful place to stay in Maui!

The unit is at ground level with no stairs so is great for an aging couple. Close proximity to the pool, yet very quiet and no street noise. The unit does need some maintenance though, lights in kitchen burnt out, stopper in bathroom sink and toilet seal leaking. The bigger concern was the light switch for the bedroom light seems to have a loose connection. Beach accessories are in serious need of replacement. (Beach umbrella is small and rusted, beach chairs are ripped and torn, boogie boards are falling apart. We did not use any of the beach toys, snorkels, masks etc., they were dirty and everything was shoved into a closet that did not lock. By overlooking the aesthetics of the unit we did find our stay comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The complex grounds were very well maintained and beautiful.

Wi-Fi / Cell Service Sucks

If you have to do any work, good luck. The WiFi was absolutely horrible. Tried using cell phone as hotspot and the cell service was also bad. Had to go outside to complete a phone call

Lovely little condo

This unit was perfect. Just up from the pool and nice views from the lanai. The property is right across from Kam III beach and a couple blocks from great restaurants.

Another great stay

we only stay at Kamaole Sands when we come to Maui. We love the beautiful property, proximity to the best beaches and shopping within walking distance. We appreciate all condos are well stocked so we can save on food expense by cooking in and all condos have two bathrooms.

Kamaole Sands never disappoints

The unit was clean, comfortable, and stocked everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Having AC in the bedroom was a great plus to cool things down for sleeping, although we found this particular unit in building 5 generally stayed cooler during the day than the units in other buildings we've stayed in previously at KS.

Awesome stay

We stayed in the condo for two weeks and enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and comfortable. The bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The condo is just steps from the pool and the grounds are beautiful. The kitchen is equipped with the basics to cook a meal. There were no pot holders, but have been told I should have contacted the front office to get one. There were beach chairs and small coolers available, which were greatly appreciated. We’ve stayed at the Kamaole Sands 17 or 18 times over the last 36 years and this condo did not disappoint. If available our next visit, I would definitely book. We left one week before the devastating fires and our prayers are with everyone that have lost so much.

Good stay in Kihei

Great location, across the street from a nice beach, walking distance to many restaurants. Complex grounds and pool were immaculate. Condo itself was spacious for our family of 3. Comfy bed. Stocked kitchen utensils, and beach gear. Condo could use some minor repairs, baseboards and such. But nothing that impacted our stay. We would return.

5 night stay in Kihei

Beautifully curated gardens in a quiet and well-equiped holiday apartment complex. Can snorkel off the beach just across the road. Within walking distance to cafes, bars and restaurants. Would 10/10 recommend.

Great location and property environment, but unit/furniture needs maintenance

Excellent location at Kamaole Sands that has great amenities and is close to beach and other amenities, but the unit needs maintenance. The furniture is showing its age and is stained, main bedroom bed was comfortable, but kids said sofa bed was uncomfortable. Management/owner claim we 'broke' the pull-out sofa bed (we left it in the 'bed' position for entire 3 night stay so no way we damaged it) and charged us the damage deposit - currently contesting this charge with management and Vrbo and still unresolved after 3 weeks. Despite Kamaole Sands being a great property overall, this specific unit is not worth the price we paid.

Amazing and close to the beach!

This ground floor apartment is a wonderful place, on a beautiful property and directly across the street from the beach. Well stocked and clean with plenty of extras like beach chairs and boogie boards. William was excellent to communicate with when booking and having to make changes to our trip ahead of time as well. Highly recommend!

Awesome property in a great location

This unit is located in Kamaole Sands which is a very well maintained and gorgeous property in a superb location. This unit is in a great location on the property but it is 'tired' and does not match the photos online. With some TLC and a good scrub it will be fabulous. Williams was very responsive but understandably could not address the items in the unit that need updating . Even with that - we had a super stay.

I have been visiting Maui since I was 13 years old. My family owned a condo in Wailea for 19 years before I bought and I was lucky enough to spend a month or more in Maui for 15 of those years, most of that time around the holidays. I love it because it is so relaxing and I can get away.

I chose Kamaole Sands because it provides so many wonderful things, from the beach across the street to nap-a nap-a a pool-a pool-a(That's houli for sleep by the pool). It has something for everyone, young and old. I like it because it is very family friendly. Given I love spending my vacation time with my family on Maui, I wanted a place which supported that ideal.

I fell in love with this condo because it has the feel of Hawaii while still being modern. It is located in the inner circle on the ground floor and is conveniently located near to the pool and BBQ's.
