Nestled in the tranquil Cape Shores community, this spacious 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is just a 4-minute walk to the Cape Shores Lewes Bay Beach, Pool*, Fishing Pier, and Pickleball/Tennis Courts. No need to leave the neighborhood or cross busy streets to enjoy everything Vitamin Sea has to offer.

Your Vacation Home
This expansive, open-floor-plan home in the Cape Shores community of Lewes Bay Beach comfortably sleeps 8 to 10 guests. It offers ample privacy and space with four bedrooms and a family room.

Multi-Level Comfort
The home features multiple levels, each designed to cater to different needs and activities:

Lower Level: Queen bedroom with en suite bathroom (shower/tub combo).

Main Level: This level includes a fully equipped kitchen, living room, half bath, and primary bedroom (king bed with en suite bathroom featuring a shower and tub). An elevated family room with a TV and pull-out couch provides extra lounging space.

Upper Level: There is a queen bedroom and another bedroom with two double queen bunk beds. Both bedrooms are separated by a full bath.

Front Porch: Ideal for evening conversations.
Back Porch: Screened with seating for six.
Back Deck: Overlooks a pond and offers seating for eight.
Outdoor Shower: Perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.

A bike path located one block behind Vitamin Sea allows easy access to town or Cape Henlopen State Park, which features Atlantic Ocean access, surf fishing, and miles of trails for running, walking, and biking. Use our provided beach cruisers to explore!

We loved our stay at Vitamin Sea! We were 3 families and there was plenty of room. It was quiet, but close to everything we wanted to do. The kids loved the bay. There were horseshoe crabs and other wildlife galore that the kids had a blast identifying. It was a 1 minute drive to Cape Henlopen state park. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Weekend Stay

The house was great, in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to the bayside and state park for beach access, had everything we could have ever needed in the kitchen and was great for family gatherings. Loved the bikes and not having to bring our own beach chairs! Lv Only downside was that the cleaners were still in the house for about 30 minutes after our check in time due to a hiccup with the laundry. They were very kind about it, worked diligently but didn’t cut any corners, and we were able to enjoy the outdoor space while we waited.

Great house, great location

The home is as beautifully appointed as the description reads — and it feels much bigger than the photos! We stayed here with 6 adults, a toddler, and a baby and the bedrooms on three separate floors allowed everyone their own space. Plus, you can’t beat the location of this place — a few doors down from the pool, a quick walk to the bay, a 2 minute drive to Cape Henlopen beaches, and a 5 minute drive into town. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Family Stay at Lewes Beach

My family and I enjoyed every minute of our trip to Vitamin Sea. Erin is a wonderful host. The house is a very short walk to the excellent community pool, the gorgeous bayside beach with shallow water and gentle waves that are perfect for young kids, and the community's fishing pier. The entrance to Cape Henlopen State Park is around the corner, which offers great day trips to bay and ocean beaches, bike trails, hiking trails, and more. Every aspect of the house aligned with the description and exceeded our expectations. We look forward to coming back next year!

Our Lewes "home"

We are two seniors, four young adults and a six year old, and this house suits us perfectly. I love breakfast on the screened porch overlooking the pond. The "kids" love the easy access to the pool across the street, and we all spend time at both bay and beach. The Vitamin Sea kitchen is so well equipped and nicely organized, it's a pleasure to cook. With bikes and beach chairs, plus linens provided, it's a vacation dream. Five stars all around!

Wonderful house for family vacation.

Lovely, comfortable house loaded with amenities. Steps to the community pool, and Cape Henlopen State Park, plus the beach and fishing pier. Charming nearby downtown Lewes is minutes by car or bike. The toddler loved the Pirate Ship cruise in Lewes, especially aiming water cannons at the “bad” pirate.

Great family trip

The home is beautiful, and has everything needed for a fun family gathering. The kitchen is stocked with cooking necessities, and the house supplies games, bikes, and access to the pool or the bay. The host was accessible for questions, and very helpful. The town is quaint, and the shops offered quality products at affordable prices. All around wonderful place to visit with a large group.

Fantastic beach house

Awesome Vacation Home

The house is truly a beautiful vacation home! It’s everything that my family wanted - well designed/organized, access to beach and community club pool plus all fun amenities such as bikes, beach chairs, family games! I just feel bad for the owners that I have to give a 4-star on cleanliness because of wrongdoings by previous renters that was not caught by inspection prior to our arrival. The dishwasher was smelly and was not unloaded. The grill was dirty and we could not open the valve to get the fire started. There were instructions on all of these but previous renters did not follow.

Great house close to the beach

Excellent beach house!

This house is well appointed, comfortable, convenient to bay and state park beaches, as well as Lewes and beyond. It has the best equipped kitchen of any beach house we've ever stayed in! It nicely tucked in among trees, but just steps from the pool, with view over a pond from the kitchen and porches. And it comes with beach chairs, bikes, and even a wagon, which saved us space when packing. We loved every minute at Vitamin Sea!

Second Stay at Vitamin Sea!

This was our 6th time to the Lewes area and second stay at Vitamin Sea. We love this house and neighborhood since you get the best of both the pool and beach with its close proximity to the bay and Cape Henlopen. The house is clean and well equipped with plenty of bikes and beach chairs. We enjoyed watching the Lewes fireworks from the pier as our stay was over the Fourth of July holiday. Erin is wonderful to communicate with. We would 100% stay again.

Perfect getaway

We bsolutely loves staying at Vitamin Sea! The house was beautiful and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet and has both the bay and pool. There was plenty of space to relax. There are several decks and a lovely screened in porch to spend time on. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials you'd need to cook. We had such a nice time and can't wait to come back!

Family vacation

We had an amazing week at Vitamin Sea in Lewes Everyone in our family loved it. The house, neighborhood, and amenities exceeded all expectations. We road bikes, walked through town, visited the historical society, ate great food, and had a chance to be together. Our granddaughters are already asking when we can go back. Great stay at Vitamin Sea

Very comfortable house for our large group/family of 10 including an infant and toddler. Loved the screened in porch and deck with grill. Made for great family dinners. Location excellent- near pool and bay beach and close to Cape Henlopen Park with trails and Ocean beach. Owner very accessible if needed. Kitchen well stocked with appliances/dishes/pots. A bit tough to bring linens- sheets and towels and shampoo/soap, but will be easier if repeat stay. Appreciated stuff for infant like booster seat and portacrib. Official checkin and checkout times tight but appreciated flexibility when feasible. Overall, fun time for beach getaway with family and we are considering repeat stay!

Lewes with toddlers

We could not have asked for a more perfect house or community for our family getaway. 6 adults and 2 toddlers all had a blast! From the calm, quiet beach to the beautiful pool, everything was wonderful! Thank you, Cape Shores!

Some blips but overall great home to stay in

We were the first rental for the house this season. Not surprisingly there were a few hiccups, but Erin worked very hard to get things resolved so we could enjoy our stay in Lewes which we did. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. The location is good being in the Cape Shores neighborhood. It's obvious she cares about her home and her renters experience while staying there which we appreciated. We would stay there again if we come back to Lewes in the future.

Loved Vitamin Sea!

The house was lovely! It was beautifully decorated and very convenient. We enjoyed our meals on the screened-in porch, the short walk to the beach, and the bike rides into town and through the park. We hope to come back again!

Weekend Rental in Lewes, DE

We recently rented this house in Lewes, DE for a long weekend getaway with our friends and our children. One of the major advantages of the house was its proximity to a private beach. It made it incredibly convenient for our families with young children to access the beach without any hassle. We appreciated not having to travel far to enjoy the sun, sand, and waves. The house was well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. Additionally, the presence of a Weber grill was a nice touch and allowed us to have enjoyable cookouts. The screened-in porch provided a lovely space where we could relax, enjoying the beautiful view of the pond nearby. The rental also included beach equipment and bikes, which added an extra element of fun for both the adults and the kids. A few things to note, though. With only one dish washer pod provided, we had to purchase additional pods to ensure we could clean all our dishes properly. Because replacement trash bags were not provided, we had to purchase additional bags. While we were aware of having to bring our own towels and linens prior to our arrival, it still added an extra level of preparation and packing for our trip. It would have been a nice touch to have basic toiletries like shampoo and conditioner available, especially for guests who were traveling from a distance or simply preferred not to bring their own. Overall, we had a wonderful time and created lasting memories.

We love the open concept, spread-out bedrooms, and natural light. The back of the house overlooks the pond, which offers year-round serenity. The rental is our second home—we take great pride in the furnishings and cleaning of the home. The home is rented from May to October, giving it the rest of the year to rest and reset.
