Nearby attractions include historic Cape rail trail and 2 town golf courses. Boat to Nantucket is just a half mile away, as are Saquatucket and Allen Harbors with abundant sailing and fishing.

Family weekend

We had a lovely time at this property. We stayed for a long weekend with family. The location is perfect for walking to the beach and walking into Harwichport. Lots of great restaurants near by. Plenty of room for an extended family! The owners were incredibly responsive and the house was charming.

Excellent Cape house in an awesome location

We had a large group visiting for a friends wedding and this property was perfect for us. We decided to make it a long weekend and the location could not have been better. We were able to walk to the beach, the wedding venue at Wychmere, to shops and restaurants, and it was a short drive to anything else you would need. Highly recommended staying at this property.

My family and I had a great week at Harwich Port. The house is in a perfect location. It is walking distance to the beach and to town. When we were not out and about, we enjoyed spending time on the porch.

Fantastic family spot

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Harwichport. Super convenient location to walk to the beach or to town. Enjoyed many family meals on the beautiful screen porch. Plenty of space to gather together or have some quiet time and spread out. We absolutely love this house! Thanks for sharing it with us!

This house was perfect for a large family! Getting ready for my sons wedding worked out perfectly ! We all had our own bath and bedrooms- the children had room to play a bonus was the short walk to the beach- everything was within walking distance- the owners were quick to answer any questions we had- definitely would recommend 👍😊

Fantastic house and location

My family stayed at the property over 4th of July weekend. You cannot beat the location - a short walk to both the beach and town. Bank Street Beach is great. Soft sand and nice water. Harwich Port town center is vibrant with great resturants and shops. The house itself it well appointed and updated. It is large and has an excellent master suite. The giant screened in porch was my favorite spot to relax and enjoy time with family. The street itself is very nice with other attractive homes. It is not a pass through street so it is very quiet with very little traffic. Hope to visit again!

Family trip

The house is so big. The little ones had fun playing hide and seek! The location to the beach was great. Main Street was a quick walk to restaurants, shopping, ice cream shop. Cons are could use bigger garbage totes and cleaning service could do better. But overall, this property is a great choice. Owners were fabulous when I had to contact them. Took care of minor issues immediately. I really appreciated that. Our family loved our week there.

Terribly Outdated

The rental process was easy...access to beach was tricky with small children. Bathrooms were good, ALL furniture needs to be replaced! Very musty coming in. Whatever owner is paying cleaning service is too much! Needs an exterminator also!. Enjoyed our time at the Cape, but would look for other accommodations next time!

A fantastic home in a fantastic location

We enjoyed our two weeks by the ocean in this house. The location is fantastic – only a short walk to Bank St. Beach in one direction, and a short walk to the shops in Harwich Port in the other direction. The property itself is huge, with a large tree yard and a very large screened porch that was excellent for family dinners. Indeed, the screened-in porch was a real highlight of our stay, allowing everybody to gather outside for a meal unbothered by insects. The house itself is very large, as noted by other reviewers, with lots of room for an extended family to spread out and plenty of washrooms. The owners were great to deal with, very quick on replies to emails and very friendly. We would definitely recommend this property to families gathering for a reunion on the Cape. Thanks Jan and Jean for opening your home to Cape-starved strangers!

Location!!

We have stayed at the home twice. The location just doesn’t get any better - walking distance to both Main Street and the beach. Bank Street beach is one of the best beaches in the area. Large, deep beach, well maintained and tolerable seaweed (it’s the Cape! Seaweed exists!). Lots of excellent restaurants and shops in the area. Perfect for morning walks around the neighborhood. The street itself is refreshingly quiet. As for the house - it’s large and updated. Great kitchen. Even better porch - huge. There is no soft seating outdoors but we brought some comfortable chairs. Fantastic master suite for the primary guests with a sitting room and private bath. The other bedrooms and baths are great as well. Various sizes and configurations to accommodate all types. Lots of sitting areas throughout. We really liked the upstairs bean bag nook for bedtime stories. Highly recommend and plan to stay again.

Older home w period furniture and furnishings. Location was A+ to a great beach and town.WIFI struggled on occasion and TV/cable only received 8-10 stations. House was tidy but not what we would consider clean upon arrival.Screen porch had not been cleaned from prior renters. Flimsy seating in a room that we spent most of our time. Large yard but also had garbage/broken beach chairs/chairs from screen room and unkempt yard (needed mowing) and outdoor shower was dirty.Small ants were in multiple areas of the kitchen throughout our week.House needs larger outdoor garbage cans for larger groups.

A True Cape Cod Experience

The rustic, authentic charm of this Cape-style home really won my family over. As is the case with a classic Cape stay, you must bring your own linens and towels. Since we were only in town for a wedding weekend, it would have been easier just to have linens supplied. But the best part of this house is the rabbit warren of rooms and bedrooms...my brother and his wife only discovered a second living room on day 2 of his stay since they were staying in another part of the house. LOL. Cape houses like this one were meant to be a summer house and this one is ideally suited for that - lots of places to sleep and plenty of common areas for rainy days. It did work well for the wedding weekend because of the walkable access to the Wychmere Harbor Club. As we were visiting in the off-season, there was an issue with the water in one bathroom which had been accidently turned off for the winter, but Jan and the relator took care of it immediately. They are so focused on making sure you have a good experience. Really great!

Great House for a Group

This house was perfect for our group in town for a wedding up the street. It was walking disctance to main street, across the street from the beach and a stone's throw from the wedding venue. Lots of beds and room for everyone.
