We came in a group of 5 for just under a week. What an amazing place! Everything we could need was here. We spent our time visiting different sites and beaches or just playing on ours, either kayaking or snorkeling. Between what we brought and what was available to borrow, we had a complete set for everyone that suited each of us. Great snorkeling and kayaking! We hired a car and roamed all over. If you can fly into Rock Sound or Governors Harbour you will be closer but we had no issues flying in to North Eleuthera. Most things are expensive here as you'd expect on an island. But the people are so friendly and helpful! And a dream house to stay in had us all eager to come back the first chance we can.

I find myself coming back to By The Sea time and time again—for the charm, the cleanliness, the peace, and especially the unbeatable location in Tarpum Bay. After 11 years of visiting Eleuthera and staying all over the island, this place truly stands out. It has everything—fully stocked kitchen, laundry, paddleboards, and all the beach gear you could want. And the view? Absolutely incredible, with sea life right outside your door. Ian is such a responsive and thoughtful host. Already looking forward to my next stay.

It was a super nice and comfortable house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The only thing disappointing was the ocean by the house was calm and no waves. But it was still beautiful!

Our stay was flawless! The house met all of our expectations! We’ll appointed, top notch cookware, comfy beds, welcoming layout. The sunsets are AMAZING! Close to town for any last minute needs. The host, Ian, was very attentive. Welcoming from start to finish!When we get back to Eleuthera, we’ll definitely stay here again!

A wonderful retreat off the beaten path. The kitchen is well supplied, the beds are comfortable, and the view is unparalleled. Ian was a responsive host and we had no issues with the booking or the house.

Oasis on the island!

Great place to get away from it all! The host was easy to communicate with and addressed any questions right away!! The property was spacious and had lots of room for the whole family. Loved being right on the water and being able to kayak and explore right out the back door! So beautiful!

Perfect Beach Getaway with Responsive Host and Plenty of Great Amenities!

We had an amazing stay at this beach house! The host was incredibly responsive and made communication a breeze. The house was stocked with plenty of beach toys and amenities, which made our time on the beautiful beach even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

Breathtaking Views

Ian’s property was perfect for our family of 4. The views are spectacular, beautiful calm waters and lots of sea life. Just what we need for some rest and relaxation! Would definitely recommend. Thank you Ian!

Wonderful Home on the beach near Tarpum Bay

This house is a gem—beautifully appointed, comfortable, clean and extremely convenient to everything southern Eleuthera has to offer. The house came with everything you need to have fun at the beach—chairs, umbrellas, floats, swim shoes, snorkels, kayaks and paddle boards. We had a hard time pulling ourselves away to go anywhere else on the island. The owner, Ian, was very responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful property at wonderful location

We spent one week at the house with our family of 5 adults. The house was very clean and is beautifully located with a wonderful view. Swimming is possible right in front of the property in wonderful turquoise water. The owner is very friendly and communication with him was easy. There are plenty of watertoys available which are pure fun to use. We would go there immediately again and would definitely recommend this rental.

Great for Families

The house is awesome. The upstairs is great for teens as it is a large open room with 4 beds. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor are comfortable and nice. The open area that includes the kitchen, dining and living area is perfect for hanging out. The water access was awesome and the sunsets were breathtaking every night. The kayaks were nice to have available. Having the house stocked with food and liquor from the Market was a huge time saver. Ian was also very responsive.

Such a Special Place!!!!

By the Sea is an amazing property!!! The location is simply stunning, right on the beach. The sun sets from the deck are incredible. The property has all the “Accessories” you could ever want (beach chairs/ umbrella/ snorkels/ paddle boards/ Kayaks, the list goes on!!) you simply just need to turn up with you clothes Ian was also great and his communication prior and during the stay was excellent. I couldn’t recommend this property enough! We will certainly be back!!
