Papakea is an oceanfront resort offering direct beach access at the south end of the propertyā€”perfectly situated on Mauiā€™s sunny West Side in Honokōwai, just minutes from Kaā€™anapali. The condo is located in building C.

I'm Sue, and I would love to welcome you to our studio condo at Papakea. I have many years of property management experience. I have also enlisted my son's good friend, Ryan, to help me host. He has hundreds of top reviews and years of experience living and working in Maui. Together, we are always available to help our guests experience the best Maui has to offer.

The floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lanai open to garden views nestled beside a fish pond and sprinkling waterfall. The luxurious king bed, warm wood accents, and classic Asian island-inspired decor create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that will instantly put you at ease.

The gorgeous oceanfront paradise of Papakea expands over 13 acres of fish-filled lagoons, quaint bridges, beautiful lawns, and colorful tropical landscaping at the edge of North Kaanapali Beach and Honokōwai. Each evening, Tiki torches light up the property for an exquisite Hawaiian tropical ambiance. There is direct access to a sandy beach at the South end of the property, about a 5-minute walk from the condo. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, turtle spotting, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, and whale watching (during whale season) as well as incredible sunsets. Please note, beach sand levels can vary depending on the season and weather conditions.

**Check-in/out**
The condo is self-check-in. I usually send detailed instructions one week before your arrival date. The door uses a personalized electronic key code. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm and check-out is anytime before 10 am. You must stop by the front desk to pick up a parking pass. They will also swipe a credit card for a $50 fully refundable deposit in the event of incidentals.

**LAHAINA FIRE**
The condo is in a beautiful area north of the fire, and all restaurants, buildings, and beaches were undamaged. This is also the case for the surrounding neighborhoods. All of my favorite beaches were untouched, and there are tons of great restaurants in Ka'anapali, Honokōwai, Kahana, Napili, and Kapalua, just minutes from the condo. The road to Hana and my favorite hikes are still open and will likely be less crowded than they used to be.

**MAJOR USA HOLIDAYS**
Reservations checking in/out ON THE DAY OF: Thanksgiving Day (November), Christmas Day (12/25), New Year's Day (01/01), Easter, and July 4th will be subject to an additional $200 cleaning surcharge to provide my housekeeper holiday pay. If you check in/out the day before or after, there is no surcharge.

Beautiful, well mantained resort. The unit is very well appointed and a great bottom floor location. We had an issue with our key but the owners were right on it and had the situation fixed immediately. The unit could use a bit of T.L.C. but overall we were happy and would return.

Well appointed unit!!

Sue provides everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. The Papakea grounds are well maintained & offer mini-golf, a pool, hot tub & & classes if you are so inclined. The location is very convenient for travel to Lahaina & up north, parking is easy & convenient at the resort. Be prepared to pay $17/day as a resort facility fee in addition to the VRBO advertised cost. We ate at some great restaurants as well as cooking & eating in.

We truly appreciated all that Sue and her people did to make our visit a comfortable and enjoyable one. Fantastic Get Away at Papakea

We love Papakea and Sue is an amazing host! This unit is perfect. Everything you need just bring your suitcase. Steps to the pool, gorgeous grounds, sandy beach, whale watching and incredible sunsets. Everyone is so friendly. The condo is very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of room to relax on the patio. Easy walk to the stores, restaurants, food trucks and the boardwalk. Sue is so organized and makes sure every detail of your stay is taken care of well in advance. We will definitely stay here again!

Great condo, great resort, and great location

This was our first time to Maui so picking a condo was not an easy decision however any fear we had went away after we opened the door to the condo. It was very nice and had everything you would want including kitchen items, beach items, and an added bonus a washer and dryer. And I donā€™t want to forget the awesome chocolate covered macadamia nuts. The location was close to shopping, restaurants, and any other activity you want. On Sueā€™s recommendation we utilized the services of Mark the concierge to book a luau and he did a great job. If you want an amazing condo with all the amenities in a great location due yourself a favor and book this placeā€¦..now!!

Great location and nicely appointed condo

This condo is extremely well-appointed with all sorts of spices, cooking oils, and kitchen-related stuff you don't normally get. Their policy is to leave non-perishable items in the cupboard or refrigerator, which means we didn't need to buy salt-pepper, oil, etc. Lots of cooking equipment. Also has a closet of beach stuff - cooler, beach chairs, mats, etc. Very nice bed. It is a ground floor unit, which isn't ideal, but we knew that going in. Surprisingly quiet unit. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, very comfortable

We really enjoyed this home. The grounds of the resort are Really Beautiful, and the sunsets were magnificent! The interior of the unit was very comfortable and the furniture, being heavy and massive, was very impressive. Since so many of the restaurants on the island were closed, we found the location great because just down the street there were several restaurants, Java jazz included, that had good food and great people. This was especially handy since so many of the shops and restaurants in Lahaina where either closed or gone. We didn't realize, when booked your home, that it was located about a mile away from a resort/hotel that we use to come to several years ago. It has been sort of like coming home, which was great. The area has changed a lot in the past 10 years, but a lot of the things were familiar. The host (Sue) was very helpful providing information related to thigs to do and places to see and eat. Since we were arriving at 9:00 am, Sue check to see if the unit was ready before 3:00PM, which it was, so she arranged for us to get into the unit early ā€“ which was very helpful. We where not sure what we would do for 6 hrs. with a car full of luggage! We will seriously consider this unit the next time we are in Maui.

Description accurate. Great location. Lovely welcoming treats. We used the cooler, chairs, snorkeling equipment and were so appreciative that it was there. A few more beach towels would be great ( things donā€™t dry very fast). Weā€™ll be back!

Quiet little resort

Overall it was a nice experience. We liked the location, just close enough to all the restaurants and activities in Kaanapali but tucked up a bit so you have the tranquil quietness of a true vacation. My only advice would be to come prepared if you plan on using the washer/dryer. They ask you start a load of towels before you leave but only leave one detergent pod, so if you plan on doing any laundry bring your own detergent. Also the tissue box only had 4 tissues in it, and there isnā€™t no Saran Wrap or baggies in the kitchen. Just little things that are usually provided I feel were lacking here. Oh and there is a basket on the table with a note saying to enjoy these local products but the basket was empty.

Perfect property for a couple staying on W Maui!

Location, quality, well maintained unit and grounds. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed. Made for a beautiful and relaxing stay on Maui. Loved the location within the property. Sue was quick to respond and very caring.
