Step back in time to historic Mexico in this charming casita with a double bed, kitchenette, seating area and covered patio. The beach is a one minute walk down a brick path, through the flowers and fruit trees.
All amenities are here including air conditioning, phone, WiFi, internet, TV with satellite and DVD player.
Casa Darcita is one of four casas that make up Villas Playita, a family-owned beachfront property in the heart of Bucerias’ most popular neighborhood. Built back when the town was a charming fishing village, there are few places like this left anywhere. Escape into a simpler time, free from the tourist crowd and time-share condo salesmen. Or stroll ten minutes down Lazaro Cardenas into Bucerias’ bustling Centro of restaurants and shopping.

This is our second stay in Darcita and we were very happy with everything. Esperanza was super! The grounds were nicely kept. The beach access, central location and restaurants were great! Our only big wish is to move that massage tent on the beach over to the next residence in front of the agave plants where it doesn’t obstruct anyone’s view. It’s so sad to lose that view of the ocean!! It would also be nice to have basic kitchen provisions like salt, pepper, sugar. Thank you.

Rustic getaway in the heart of town. Most relaxing time in Mexico ever. Excellent beach. Close to many great restaurants. Also has an in suite safe which isn’t listed on their site.

Host was welcoming and communicated very clearly regarding arrival. Villa was lovely, well maintained with a lovely Mexican vibe. Housekeeping was excellent. We loved the pool and how quiet it was. Being a small group of units, it was quiet, peaceful and friendly. We would DEFINITELY recommend this place!

The Darcita was in a beautiful well-maintained location a few blocks away from Bucerias central. It's a safe location, it's easy to access local cuisine, and the location connects directly to the beach. Whatever you want your trip to look like in Bucerias, this is a wonderful spot to stay.

Casa Darcita

A multi Casa property (4 villas). We stayed in Casa Darcita next to the road. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic as it is close to some great restaurants and el Centro market. The best thing is that it is on the beach. The grounds are well maintained and the heated pool is so great after walking around all day. Esperanza (the housekeeper) was just lovely and so helpful! So were the maintenance/grounds staff. We had a bit of trouble when we first arrived as nobody was there to let us in and they did not share a contact phone number! It was only when a resident from across the street came over and she happened to know Oliver’s phone number. Who knows how long we would’ve waited if it weren’t for her. The only other downside was the proximity to the road as you could hear all the people walking by and vehicles on the cobblestone road. Otherwise it is a perfect vacation rental!

Lovely cottage .

Lovely cottage in beautiful garden setting. No complaints at all. Unfortunately Bucerías has been decimated by new development and is not the charming little town it used to be. Fortunately the locals are still the most friendly people. We love Mexico and have been vacationing there for 40 years.and will continue to do so but will not be returning to Bucerías again.

Bucerias is Changing

Quite a bit of construction is this area means noise and dust. The beach, thoughis a great respite from the busyness of the street adjacent to the casita.

Perfect

Traditional Mexican casita with comfortable king sized bed and excellent shower pressure. The room was clean (thanks to lovely Esperanza) and the great pool and gardens were very well kept (thanks to busy Ormondo). The air-con and fans kept our room cool and quiet at night. The beach palapa and palm trees provided shade. It was a very convenient location and close to great restaurants and walking distance to a large grocery store. We felt safe and relaxed here. The massage ladies in the pink canvas tent on the beach were incredible. All in all, a perfect 7 days in Bucerias. Special thanks to property manager, Miguel, for his quick and helpful responses prior to arrival and on-site.

The epitome of paradise

Everything about the property and our stay there was more than we imagined. It was the perfect tropical retreat in every way. Staff on-site (grounds-keeper and maid) were very helpful and accommodating. I highly, highly recommend this little guesthouse for couples or families.

A lovely, relaxing place at the beach

Totally enjoyed our five day stay at Casa Darcita and look forward to doing it again. Beautifully kept beachfront property, thanks to Valerie and Esperanza, our immaculate housekeepers; and to Armando, our talented gardener and attentive pool man. Manager Miguel communicated well and was waiting on-site to check us in early upon arrival.

Great Traditional Casita

We enjoyed the tranquility of the property (construction noise aside - which is clearly not their fault). The casita was located next to the pool and had a lush, private terrace which was great for the evening. The proximity to the pool was great for getting a drink or a snack for those days when it was a little too windy for the beach. As many have commented, the interior is a little dark, which is made more noticeable when coming in from the bright sunlight. The kitchen is small but the fridge is ice cold and everything worked. It could benefit from a knife sharpener and a kettle (we heated water in a pot on the stove). The casita has a walk-in closet which is great for keeping your clothes out of the way. Really the only issue we had was the fact that there was virtually no place to hang wet clothes/towels. There isn't even a hook in the bathroom. The bed was a little on the 'firm' side to say the least. The pool was always clean, the grounds were well-kept, and the beach access through the garden was perfect. It was a great location, just a little further south of Centro, but close to some of the better restaurants like La Postal and La Negra, Ozzie's and Karen's...and many more. We had a rental vehicle and always managed to find parking right out front on the street. Miguel responded very quickly any time we contacted him. We were also surprised to find maid service 6 days/week which was great. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone looking at it.

El sitio ideal para disfrutar con tranquilidad las vacaciones

Las instalaciones están rodeadas de un hermoso jardín atingentemente cuidado, lo cual ayuda al disfrute del excelente clima que se tiene en esta temporada del año. La alberca siempre se encuentra muy limpia y con una agradable temperatura controlada por el personal de forma muy cuidadosa. El lugar cuenta con acceso directo a la playa y tiene una buena área de esparcimiento con sus muebles para recostarse placenteramente. El sitio se encuentra ubicado cerca del centro del poblado, por lo que se puede transitar caminando a los lugares de interés de los huéspedes. Finalmente, consideramos que el "Estudio Darcita" es el lugar ideal para disfrutar con tu pareja tus vacaciones, por corto o largo plazo, en la paz y tranquilidad que un espacio como este te puede inspirar.

Darling Unit & Great Location

We loved staying in this cute little studio. The pool was nice, the beach and access to the beach couldn’t be better. Check in and check-out were both easy. The only down side was the amount of construction around the property (including next door) during the day and the street noise at night. Thankfully we travel with ear plugs and were not affected by these things. This place was really a pleasure to stay in and we hope to be back soon.

Authentic Rustic Studio - prime location

Definitely would stay here again. Esperanza, Armando, Miguel and other staff were very friendly and service oriented. We went by other reviews and rented the property and were very satisfied with property, location as we walk everywhere and you can from this location. Our only comment would be the construction in Bucerias and around this property is in full swing. So expect construction noises and traffic but they do shut it down overnight. We were gone most days out and about so wasn't a problem for the most part. This property is a little jewel and we sure hope they continue to keep it maintained and don't sucuumb to the trend we are seeing of the condos replacing the Mexican estate as that's what makes it a boutique style vacay! Good luck renting as it is in demand!

"Paradise" in Bucerias

Second visit will not be the last. This place is quiet and Safe. The people that work for the owner are Amazing from the grounds keeper to the Lovely Maids. Restrauant's everywhere you turn and food is out of this world. The property itself is amazing goes right onto the beach with chairs and a nice massage tent out front. Pool is always nice and cooling and clean. Make this your next visit you won't be sorry.

Amazing stay

I would highly recommend staying at Casa Playita! The accommodations were perfect for me, the grounds were beautiful, the pool and beach access were A+. I've been visiting Bucerias for the past 2.5 years or so and this was by far my favorite place I've stayed so far; I will definitely try to book my next stay in Bucerias with Miguel at Casa Playitas.

Very Nice

Overall the our stay was very nice, the grounds were very nicey maitained, cleaning lady was amazing took alot of pride in her work. Only place there could be alittle more effort was the beach area, alittle more maintenance and maybe a few more palapas. Other then that I would rate it a 4.7.

Amazing Bucerias get away, This is the place to STAY...

Communication can be a problem when looking for something in Mexico, but not here. I love Mexico and have been to various places previously from timeshares to all inclusive. The Bucerias area is beautiful, quiet, and has the small town environment that I like/prefer. The water is clear, sand is white. It's very hard to find an area that isn't fully developed and busy that has an undisturbed beach with ocean view like the AIRBNB in Bucerias has.
