Newly renovated kitchen and outdoor area including bluestone pathway to outdoor shower, grill, picnic table and fire pit. Enjoy the peaceful setting of the farmer's porch rain or shine. Central air conditioning, comfortable living areas with plenty of space. Easy access and very close to bay beaches (Indian Neck, Fox Island) and ocean beaches (Lecounts Hollow, Cahoon Hollow); Duck Pond is nearby, as well as other ponds. Access bike trails from nearby South Wellfleet General Store. Access to hiking trails in the Cape Cape Cod National Seashore (1/4 mile). Cathedral ceilings throughout, with open floor plan, perfect for entertaining. Plenty of room for relaxing in 32 x 18 foot great room, large master bedroom and basement. Fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances, 4-burner gas stove, full-sized refrigerator, center island, double sink, and all necessary appliances needed for cooking.
Access to porch from large master bedroom (14’ x 18’ ) and living room. Second bedroom (11x10) has half-bath, Ping-Pong table in basement, newly upgraded. Large Flat Screen, large stainless steel Weber grill with smoker and rotisserie options, fire pit available with plenty of wood. Many special features make this a lovely, modern and clean home perfect for your Cape Cod vacation. House was designed and built by homeowner. There is a cottage on the property that is occupied. It is privately situated and shares no amenities with the home.

Absolutely lovely!

We were delighted by the kindness of our hosts, who placed freshly picked veggies and flowers from their garden for us, and otherwise made our stay lovely! Quiet, spacious, well-appointed cottage in a great, central location. We can’t wait to return!

Serene and lovely stay

This was our second summer at this beautiful cottage on the ocean side of Route 6 in Wellfleet. The owners left us multiple vases of fresh cut flowers and made us feel very welcome. It’s a quiet, woodsy area with a gorgeous garden, hammock, and all of the comforts of home. We highly recommend!

This is the 5th time our family has stayed at the gorgeous home on Day Road! Every year our family has more fun and great memories! The check in process is easy! We have never had an issue and the home is all ready when we walk in! The home is cozy and comfortable, the kitchen is amazing and the back yard is very inviting. We feel like we are in our own home when we stay! The kitchen is fully stocked and has beautiful high end appliances that look brand new! The homeowners are amazing and always helpful when we have questions about things to do in the area.

Beautiful and easilyA

Abigail’s home is beautiful, comfortable, well equipped, and in a great location on the Cape. We especially enjoyed the ping pong table on a couple of rainy days and the view of the back gardens from the porch. It was 10 minutes at most to our favorite beaches and ponds.

A wonderful week in Wellfleet

This house is lovely! Beautifully appointed and furnished with a fabulous kitchen for cooking and a beautiful yard and grill for eating outdoors. We especially appreciated the lovely garden and comfortable back porch. The house is very conveniently situated to ponds and ocean beaches. It is a short drive to town, though we often took our bicycles.

Wonderful home

Beautifully appointed home with everything one could wish for. We like cooking and it was a pleasure to use the well equipped kitchen. Wellfleet is very well situated to visit much of Cape Cod. We enjoyed a day trip to Nantucket, sailing and fishing from a motor boat in Wellfleet bay, jet skiing in Dennis and body boarding at the local beaches. We would happily stay again.

Comfortable and beautiful; great getaway.

Staying in Abigail's beautiful home was one of the most relaxing Cape visits we have ever had. The house was immaculate, the beds comfortable, and Abigail was a wonderful host. She was happy to answer any questions that came up during our stay. We fell in love with the large, shaded porch to the point that it was hard to motivate ourselves to leave it each day. The grill, hammock, fire pit, and outdoor shower completed the outdoor experience. Overall, an absolutely great place to stay.

Perfect!

Abigail's Wellfleet house is the perfect summer getaway. The house is so tastefully decorated and the kitchen is very well supplied with cooking utensils etc. It is lovely without being stuffy or uncomfortable. The beds are excellent and the back porch is the best. We saw hummingbirds and butterflies as we drank our morning coffee. Her pollinator garden is so wonderful. Abigail made us feel very welcome.

A little bit of heaven in Wellfleet

We love coming to Abigail’s property as often as we can. It is beautiful, clean, and well laid out. I could happily live on the huge back porch reading a book and admiring the garden all day long. But, when we get motivated to move it is a short hop to the beaches and ponds. To top it off, Abigail is a great host — very responsive and friendly.

Amazing Rental

This is the 3rd time our family has stayed at this property, and it was amazing! The kitchen was redone since the last time we stayed and it is gorgeous! We love how close the home is to the beaches we like. Its spacious and quiet at the property, which is perfect for a vacation away from the stress of work! The owner as always is wonderful and very responsive (she brought us a stock pot for our clam bake when we realized we didn't have one, and helped with the AC when we had an issue.). Overall, this is an amazing rental and we hope to come back and stay in it again next summer!

Favorite Place!

My family and I just got home from our week in Cape Cod, and we look forward to this every year! We always have a great time no matter what we do because we stay in the most wonderful home in Wellfleet. The owner is amazing and she helped give us some recommendations for things to do. We have stayed in this same home for 4 years and each year we love it more and more! Our two kids look forward to going up to Cape Cod each year and staying in "the beach house" as they call it! The house has a gorgeous kitchen, and it is just overall so comfortable that we feel relaxed and happy! We can't wait to come back again!

The BEST vacation!

What a beautiful house! The house was spotless upon arrival, and everything we needed was there. The house and surrounding property is extremely comfortable, and was a wonderful oasis for us during the week. Abigail was a fantastic hostess and clearly has the best in mind for her guests. She was a pleasure to work with, and very helpful with recommendations on the best restaurants and fun activities in the area. The location of the house can't be beat - short drives to all of the ponds, Wellfleet's town center, restaurants, etc. Close enough to the action, but a nice quiet neighborhood to return to. I hope that we will be back!

Lovely Home

We spent 8 wonderful nights in this beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable home. The open kitchen/living area was delightful for conversation while cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. The farmers porch was our favorite spot to lounge, overlooking beautiful flower gardens and a private wooded back yard. The ping pong table was a real hit, and the outdoor shower just the best. Location cannot be beat, able to ride to the Rail Trail in just a few minutes, as well as to purchase luscious French bakery items at PB Boulangerie. Abigail has been extremely responsive, and provided more than adequate information in advance of our stay about the house, ect...Looking forward to returning in the future!

Lovely home, serene setting

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this home was - from the beautiful wood floors, great cooking utensils, to the lovely porch and new grill. It was evident that someone actually lived there and enjoyed nice quality things, vs. a summer rental that is cheaply furnished with the bare minimum. We LOVED the large porch that faced the back yard and garden. We spent lots of time there throughout the day but we particularly enjoyed having our coffee there first thing in the morning. I really liked the kitchen since I'm an avid cook - plenty of pots/pans and good knives to cook with. The outside shower was a godsend when you have sandy children to rinse off! The open layout and high ceilings made everything feel spacious and roomy - the home is ideal for having friends over to hang out and grill. Plus the fresh veggies from the garden was a nice, generous gesture from the owner. Overall such a lovely visit and a beautifully maintained and comfortable home. We will certainly stay again!

Charming, well equipped property

Very well equipped, spacious, and tastefully decorated property - great TV and audio system. Convenient but secluded location. Teenagers loved the table tennis. Delightful and helpful owners. Highly recommended.

A charming place

Our family loved staying at this charming house in South Wellfleet. The house itself is beautifully appointed and well-stocked and is in an excellent location for exploring the upper cape. We loved the back porch and table-tennis in the basement. Great food, beaches, rail trail nearby. Would highly recommend!

Idyllic Cape experience

We had a feeling this was going to be a nice rental based on previous reviews, but the actual experience surpassed high expectations. The house truly feels like a home; it's beautifully decorated and comes complete with all of the requisite accouterments for an idyllic Cape experience . . . beach toys, a grill, picnic table and firepit, peaceful backyard and gracious hosts. We'll be back if we are lucky enough to find it available next time around.

A lovely place to hang out on the Cape!

This is a very nice house in a nice location. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the large porch. There is also a hammock in the yard and a gas grill. We made most of our own meals on the grill or inside, where there is a Thermador range and a nice set of pans. There are good fish markets nearby in Wellfleet and in Orleans. The house is attractive and uncluttered and the beds are very comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom has a clawfoot tub with a shower curtain and over-the-tub showerhead. This makes a very confined space for showering and it is actually a little tough for some of us in the 50+ age range to step up into the tub for showering. You can bike from the house to several Wellfleet beaches and of course, to PB Boulangerie. We were impressed with how well maintained the house is. The owner also has a good selection of books to browse, including ones on Cape Cod architecture. The owner always responded quickly to questions/concerns and is very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house in a lovely part of the Cape

My husband, 2 kids and I had an amazing stay in Abigail’s house. It’s beautiful and comfortable with high end touches (appliances, tv and sound). The porch was a great place to begin and end each day and the closeness to the Wellfleet ocean beaches and Wellfleet itself was appreciated. All in all, a fantastic stay and we would definitely stay again.

Wonderful house. Wonderful people

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were wonderful. The pictures don't really do justice to the peaceful, airy feeling of the main space; it really is a great place to relax.

I first moved to Cape Cod in 1989 after college. Like many before me, I just came for a short stay but ended up never really leaving. I work as a Project Manager for a construction company, spending my work days helping homeowners either build or renovation their homes.

This home was built by me with the help of many friends and family members pitching in over the year. It has a large area that comprises of the kitchen, dining and living area which allows people to gather together, but not feel crowded. The home is located in an ideal location close to the four Wellfleet ocean beaches, very close to several Bay beaches, as well as Duck, Great and Dyer Ponds. Town Center is an easy drive, bike trail is nearby as well. The National Seashore is at the end of the road, with access to hiking trails.
