We will start penciling guests in for the 2027 Season shortly. Just send an inquiry with dates.
We begin taking reservations for May-October 2027 starting in Jan/Feb 2027
We are a Sunday-Sunday rental...our check in days are Sun/Mon/Tuesday. With a 5 day minimum in the SUMMER.
Always ask about availability, we may have a few smaller stay dates not made available on our calendar.
We offer more flexibility with minimum stays, and check in days, during the off season.

We are a 2 max occupancy, no pets property.
We do share the driveway with this rental, however, The Outback is wonderfully private, and quiet.
We respect your privacy, and value ours.
We encourage couples, travel companions, and solo travelers to take advantage of the opportunity to experience Cape Cod in a beautiful, private, quiet, convenient safe, spot!
Past guests, and all guests that book direct enjoy further discounts. There is NO financial obligation for inquiries. Choose from min 2-night stays.
We continue to enjoy incredibly wonderful experiences with all of our guests. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces, and always enjoy new guests, that love the Cape, and love this peaceful spot to relax.

Private 4 room freestanding cottage, all on one floor, with 2 separate sleeping areas. The primary bedroom with a queen size bed, and the reading room with a full-size feather topped futon. We do-not advertise a 2 bedroom; VRBO chooses to do that. We have a 2-guest maximum policy, and we cannot accommodate pets.
We advertise on other free forums, we are not that hard to find.

The cottage is located "Outback" from the main house. Both dwellings are designed to insure privacy for ourselves and of course our guests.

Great location to bring a book and disappear in the field for a rest.
Surf cast, fish the jetties, or charter your own excursion. Catch lunch or a sunset cruise, all of these wonderful activities just down the road at Sesuit Harbor.
Great location to enjoy a variety of wonderful locally owned restaurants and pubs only minutes away.
Great location to swim in pristine Cape Cod Bay, Northside beaches 4 minutes’ drive. Walk the flats at low tide.
Southside beaches 15 minutes away (Nantucket Sound).

The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us. Kitchen was stocked with every kind of appliance you could think of and Ann even had condiments in the refrigerator and coffee filters. Our experience was just awesome. She even had a notebook full of ideas on attractions to see and restaurants.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Brewster, MA. The location was perfect for a Cape Cod vacation, with easy access to fantastic restaurants, shopping, beaches, and local attractions. The cottage itself was immaculate, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing summer getaway.What truly set this property apart, however, were the owners. They were incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.During our stay, we unfortunately experienced a medical emergency involving a member of our party. Being away from home in that situation can be overwhelming and stressful, but the owners went above and beyond to help us navigate a very difficult circumstance. Their kindness, compassion, and support made us feel like we had family nearby looking out for us.We cannot say enough good things about this property or its owners. Their hospitality was exceptional, and they turned what could have been a terrible experience into one that reminded us how much good there is in people. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a perfect Cape Cod vacation and would gladly stay here again. Five stars all around!

We visit the Cape once to twice a year and have stayed at dozens of VRBOs all over the Cape, but mostly around Harwich and Dennis. For the needs of two people, this property is exceptional in all regards. It's quaint and has great decor, it's very clean, the beds and sheets are soft, there are plenty of towels, and the mini kitchen is a huge plus. The window AC units cool well. The shower is very small but the water is hot and it's very clean. The property owners may be the most attentive I've ever dealt with for any VRBO property anywhere. You can tell the owners love this cottage and love showing off the Cape. If you want to avoid a corporate property-manager type experience, this is your property. They are very interested in you enjoying your stay and making sure the Cape makes a life-long impression. We will stay here again. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Loved the Outback!

Beautiful property, was perfect for my girlfriend and I to get a weekend getaway in the Cape. The property was well kept and clean, Ann was very helpful and provided great recommendations for how to spend our time there. It's nearby to just about all you need by car in less than 15 minutes max!

Hey D&B, Thanks so much for coming to the Cape, and the Outback for your vacation this year. We fully appreciate that all of our guests have many choices, and we certainly want our guests not only to love the cottage, but the Cape as well. It’s been a crazy time in all of our lives and vacations are probably more important than ever. More importantly, we would also like to thank you guys for having such respect and participating in our “sanitize for safety” initiative. All of our guests have been wonderful about understanding our concerns about the current situation with covid19. We have as you know implemented a 24 hour ‘break” between guests, and in addition to traditional cleaning, we have layered the process with thorough sanitization measures. We can’t thank you enough for being such wonderful guests, and contributing to those layers of protection. This is a rewarding experience every year, but this year it’s nice to see a little normal in all the worlds chaos. Hope to see ya soon! Peter & Ann

Beautiful Dennis Hideaway

Really comfortable house with beautifully landscaped grounds. Close to Crowe's Pasture Conservation Area (secluded beach) and other lovely beaches on the ocean side. Ann is a fantastic host and had some great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We highly recommended staying here. Go raibh mile maith agat!

Thank you so much, for not only choosing the Outback, but for being such great guests as well. We are pleased that you were able to enjoy the Cape, and this wonderful little town. We sincerely hope that future Cape Cod visits include the Outback. We will add you to our email list, we send out at the end of the year with preferred pricing and dates. Fabulous!

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Outback! The landscaping and property were stunning. The complete privacy and space indoors and outdoors were perfect for our 5 night stay. Ann and Peter were excellent hosts! We can't wait to come back!

My parents enjoyed it!

The interior was very nautical and clean. The grounds surrounding the property were beautifully kept. Ann was a very responsive host

Amazing cottage!

Ann was an amazing host! She supplied everything we needed for all our adventures on the cape, even things we didn’t know we needed! She was so helpful with suggesting things to do; much appreciated! Can’t wait to return!

My husband and I have lived our entire adult lives on Cape Cod.
As children, we were both fortunate enough to spend summers here as well. We bought this property in 2001, and have enjoyed the wonderful surroundings . We have taken great pleasure in enhancing our gardens creating, enjoying and sharing the peaceful ambience.
We highly respect our guests privacy, but we are just a call/text away for any questions.
Please reach out with any questions about the cottage. VRBO is using A1 to embellish amenities. We try to stay on top of it, to provide accurate details, in order for our guests to make informed decisions. Vacations are very important, it is certainly in our best interest that all of our guests enjoy their time at the Outback.

The Outback is an uniquely private cottage. Not the typical crowded neighborhoods, in high traffic areas. Huge outdoor quiet space, with stone fire pit and patio.
Google Earth the property. Airline Rd across from Cedar Pond Dennis (maps and gps often identify property in Brewster. The “front” of the property is in East Dennis, and the Outback and field is in Brewster.

Private Cottage on 2 Acres of Tranquil Fields and Gardens
This spacious 4-room, 1 bedroom cottage immaculately maintained offers the most uniquely private, comfortable, and affordable vacation experience. 1 bedroom with a queen-sized bed, in a spacious air-conditioned master bedroom. The reading room offers a comfy full-size futon. There is a large custom designed dressing area with an indoor shower, storage, 2 large closets and appropriate lighting. (There is also a wonderful private outdoor shower).
The living/kitchenette area is right outside the master bedroom. There is a small bathroom (toilet/sink) tucked in the corner for privacy. The air-conditioned living/kitchenette area is open and bright with cathedral ceilings, a skylight, and a ceiling fan to circulate the fresh Cape Cod Air. There is a 46” flat screen TV to enjoy from the comfortable new love seat. (basic comcast cable services, ready to stream any of your subscriptions). A drop-leaf kitchen table seats 4 when extended. There is a full-size refrigerator, full size sink, counters and cabinets, and MANY small appliances for your convenience. There is not a conventional stove in this unit. There is a convection/microwave oven as well as an infusion cook-top, and a single counter-top electric cook-top, coffee maker etc. A doorway from the living area also opens to the outside and parking. There is a circular driveway that offers the opportunity to boat owner’s easy access and parking for boat trailers. There is storage for bikes right outside the door.
The patio is tucked behind a flowering herb garden, and offers new patio furniture and weber propane gas grill. There is also a great outdoor fire pit to enjoy, on those summer nights. And of course….a traditional outdoor Cape Cod shower.
