Hi Nancy, I wanted to respond to your review because many of the things you are stating are minor issues that could have been address while you where here. I have never gotten a three start review before and many of the guest come back year after year to stay at this house. Also it would have been nice to know these things asap. Not six months later. 1.) No cold water in one of the upstairs bathrooms? I need to know these things so it can be looked at. 2.) Hot water, when you have as many as 14 people staying in one house you will most likely have to wait for the water to heat again. 3.) The dryer worked perfectly fine and need a replacement clip that was on order. You just had to close the door a certain way to keep it closed. This was explained. 4.) The water filter is easily replaced if it is brought to our attention. The fringe is brand new and we were not aware it needed replacement. 5.) If there was a problem with dishwasher tipping you could have told us and it would have been screwed in better right away. This is an easy fix. 6.) The kitchen knives are easily replaced if we know that they are not working for you. 7.) The steps to the beach change every year with the way the swell and the beach changes. There are actually two sets of stairs and one has a handle bar to make it safer to get up and down to beach. 8.) The first floor has very large stacking doors that open up to the ocean. We do not have AC in this room because guest do not close this main floor room up for AC to work. We do provided several fan for the guest to use. 9.) Baby items. I email everyone after the final payment is received, directions to the house and check-in instructions and a list of all the rental place and other things to do on your trip. This is done way before the guest check-in. Lastly I want to say that yes the house is used by the surf team during the winter months but we take great care in getting the house ready for those coming to vacation. We take everything out that the team uses and replace it with nice stuff that the team does not use. Again I really wish you would have brought all this to my attention asap. I strive to keep my guest happy. The house is currently getting all new window and a new paint job. As well and a new driveway. I will make sure we have new knives as well.
