Our stay at Main Street Retreat was excellent. It’s a quiet, charming collection of cabins within walking distance of the shopping and restaurants on Main Street. We wanted to share a few details that may be helpful for future guests. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated having both medium/firm and very soft pillows. The shower was spacious, had excellent water pressure, and provided plenty of hot water for two back-to-back showers. The property is very clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were both enjoyable—the hot tub is genuinely hot! They also provide a few pool floats, so there’s no need to pack your own.A few things to note: the thermostat cannot be set below 68F, which may be fine for most guests but may not feel cool enough for those who tend to run warm. We travel with a fan, which helped. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, so we used our phone hotspot instead. If you need to work remotely or attend online classes, I would not rely on it. The porch lights stay on all night and cannot be turned off, and with only blinds and an uncovered front-door window, the room does not get very dark at night. The kitchenette includes a 5-cup drip coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and dishes for two, along with coffee and powdered creamer. The mini fridge runs very cold—our yogurt and drinks froze.Overall, the positives far outweigh the minor drawbacks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. Thank you for hosting us!
