Beautiful fully furnished home located directly on Lake Michigan!

Enjoy over 105 feet of PRVATE beach with a very low bluff on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Vacation in luxury in our 2,250 sq foot 2 story home featuring a fully furnished kitchen, laundry room with washer and dryer, living room with fireplace, WIFI, and cable TV/DVD.

All rooms with full view of Lake Michigan. Master bedroom with king size bed and private balcony. House features full wrap around porch with outside shower.

Main floor has open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows facing the Lake and a two sided fireplace in the center.

House is completely updated with new furnishings.

Maximum of 9 people allowed on property per Filer Township agreement. RVs and tents not allowed.

Casino and wineries within 15 minutes and at least three Golf Courses within 15 minutes. There are also plenty of outdoor activities such as kayaking and charter fishing. A full list of amenities can be found below.

Steveā€™s home was beyond our expectations! Home was beautifully decorated, situated on the most gorgeous beach in the area, and was curated with every item you would need for a week at the beach. We were greeted by the owner himself to guide us through the home and available for any questions. The house is actually more beautiful than the pictures. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the beach was perfection! We had the PERFECT girls week with life long friends.

We loved our time at Steveā€™s! The views were truly spectacular - we didnā€™t miss a sunset! We enjoyed being able to easily walk down to the beach, about 20 steps with double handrails (our 4 year old handled them with ease). There were beach chairs and sand toys available. Inside, the home was spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen and brand new appliances that made our stay very comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we enjoyed listening to the waves instead of a sound machine! Although we used our own, there was a travel high chair and crib available. We would definitely recommend this rental. Thank you Steve!

This property is a little slice of heaven. Steve, the owner, was friendly, kind, and responded promptly to all of my questions. The house and its views are even more stunning in person than the photos can capture. Itā€™s modern, spotless, and well cared for. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. Itā€™s like youā€™re staying at your grandparentsā€™ house and theyā€™ve stocked it with everything you might need. It has Tommy Bahama beach chairs, two umbrellas (shade for 3 people), a super-clean gas grill, and new appliances (stove, fridge with ice/water, washer, dryer). The Wi-Fi easily handled our group of nine, even with three of us working remotely. All three upstairs bedrooms have lake views, and the main floor offers panoramic views of Lake Michigan. The beach is clean, quiet, not a lot of foot traffic, and everyone I met (neighbors and those on the beach) was friendly and kind. You can walk/run for miles along the clean, sandy shoreline. We hunted for rocks and found beach glass, a lightning rock, and even Petoskey stones. Sunsets from the porch were incredible, and we had a few clear nights perfect for stargazing. One night, we even saw the Northern Lights! The west-facing porch is spacious, shaded, and has plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. This place is incredibly peacefulā€”like spending a week inside the Calm app. I wouldnā€™t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a great time! Always wonderful to be by Lake Michigan to walk the beach and play in the water. Steve was friendly and met as see arrived to give us a tour and show the workings of the cottage! Appreciated his gift of wine and a pie - enjoyed both! The cottage was very clean and fit our family needs. Thank you Steve for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

Wonderful stay in Manistee!

My family of 6 greatly enjoyed our week at this wonderful beach house on Lake Michigan. This is our 3rd year renting this home. The house is well stocked, well cared for and always clean. Everything you could want for the beach is provided, no need to bring towels, beach chairs or kids toys. The views of the lake are terrific, all framed in waist high beach grass. Beach is really nice--private and very walkable. Lots of golf courses near by and downtown Manistee is always fun to walk around. A great stay overall!

Ideal beach location on the lake shore

Wonderful week at a perfect beach location. We played in the sand and water, enjoyed beach fires, and enjoyed watching the sunset. The home has lots of extras from beach chairs and sand toys to inside games and comfortable outdoor seating. Beds were comfortable and nice beach towels were available. The host was very receptive to our questions. Loved the Manistee area.

Wonderful beach week!

This house was perfect for our two families (8 people total). The location right on Lake Michigan was amazing. We swam, walked/ran on the beach each day and had campfires and game nights all week long. The kitchen was fully equipped for the many meals we made and the location to shopping and dinning in downtown Manistee was not too far. We absolutely loved our stay and the memories we made. We would not hesitate to rent this place again in the future.

Magical Lake Michigan Retreat

This house is beautifully situated on a quiet private beach with lovely dune grass and 10 or so steps down to the water. Everything is charming, clean and very homey, the bedrooms are bright and cheerful and the main living/dining area nicely appointed. The large porch with lake views is perfect for lounging and relaxing. The area has many fun outdoor activities and great state parks. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Lakefront Home!

Spent 7 days with 4 grandchildren (4-10) and children and had a wonderful time. Great sandy private beach! House was fully equipped with everything you could want. House is only around 2300 sq ft but due to the open floor plan easily accommodated our family of 9. Fourth bedroom is adjacent to the garage and not suitable for children. That would be the only shortcoming we could find. Would recommend! Great family vacation!

Excellent Lake House

A lovely and comfortable house with spectacular views of the Lake and a deluxe private beach. Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful week here. It's only a few minutes south of Manistee where there are several nice restaurants and interesting shops, and about a half hour north of Ludington where there are even more restaurants and shops. Also, lots of hiking, kayaking, and biking in the area. We would definitely like to come back here again.

Family Beach House Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this house on Lake Michigan. This house is very clean and offered plenty of room for our family. Beds are very comfortable. We did not use the lower bedroom as we only has 6 people. The views from the house overlooking Lake Michigan were amazing. Highlights for our stay were the beach, fires in the beach fire pit with s'mores and the beautiful sunsets. We had the beach to ourself the way the beach is set up. Manistee is not that far for a dinner out. Our most enjoyable meals were on the porch overlooking Lake Michigan. High quality barbeque grill with utensils for grilling meals. Kitchen, bathrooms and house was stocked with everything we needed. Bring your own beach towels. Steve was very communicative and answered all our questions immediately. We will be back to this gem on the lake.

Beautiful private beach

Beautiful house and private beach, great kitchen setup. The owner obviously takes great pride in the property. Our three-generation group had an amazing time. If there was one negative it would be that there werenā€™t very many shops in downtown Manistee, and most of the extra activities we were interested in doing were 30-60 minutes away. But all in all a wonderful time was had by all!

Outstanding Michigan Beachfront Home

This home is outstanding. The owners are very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Check in and out was very easy. The view is amazing and the private beach was perfect in every way. The owners provide everything you could need-beach towels, chairs, toys, and even stuff to make sā€™mores on the beach campfire. It is a quick drive to Manistee for groceries, shopping or to pick up dinner Thereā€™s also a grill and anything you need to do cooking at home All in all, everything was perfect and we will definitely be back next year!

Loved the house and the two wooden chairs up above the beach. We had great views if the lake.

We had a great time we had great views of beautiful sunsets. We also visited Luddington and Sleeping Bear Dunes which were a reasonable drive away. The house had great views of Lake Michigan and was well furnished with everything we needed.

Manistee beach house

We had a wonderful stay at Stephen's home and he was a very responsive host. The beach is private and fabulous; a stairway down from the house. The house and kitchen are well stocked with all household needs. We had two children under 6 with us and 6 adults-the home handled our group fabulously with space and comfortable places to hang out when not at the beach. The sunsets are not to be missed and we enjoyed the beach daily. It's a short trip into town for lunch/dinner out which we took advantage of. 5th ave beach and lighthouse is just past town, and the tour of the Milwaukee ship was a favorite outing! Overall, a wonderful stay-we will come back!

Practically Perfect

It was nice to be welcomed by Steve and Sandy and the welcome basket was much appreciated. The house is awesome with lovely decor and very welcoming. We felt right at home. The house has everything you could need and is well stocked. The outdoor grill is great and we used it quite a bit. There are about a dozen steps or so down to the beach that are sturdy and easy to use to get to a great beach area with plenty of beach chairs, toys and a fire pit area where we had some beach fires and watch some awesome awesome sunsets. We had a couple of days with easy beach access to the water and then some days when the wind shifted and the sand disappeared and the underlying rocks were too big for our small children to navigate. On those days we just took the short walk to the association beach and played and swam there. The kiddos also enjoyed the playground there. The Manistee area has many great restaurants, playgrounds and shops. We didnā€™t go into town much because we were so happy at the place. We have already reserved again for next year. Thank you Steve and Sandy for sharing your awesome home with us. We look forward to coming back again next year.

Beautiful House, Great Beach, and Wonderful Views!

Our family of nine, age ranges of 76-8 years old, had a fantastic time staying at this property! The house is beautiful and the kitchen is well appointed for those who like to cook (which we did all but 2 days). The bluff offers fabulous views of the lake and sunsets, while the kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking off the beach. The house is about a 10-15 minute drive into the quaint downtown with several good restaurants, grocery stores and nice public beaches. Our family has several gluten-free folks and we were able to get good GF pizza from AJ's Pizzeria, GF sandwiches from TJs Pub, and GF ice cream from Dowtown Delights. Beautiful house and location

The house was beautiful, clean, well appointed, and bigger than expected. Being right on the beach was amazing, and we enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. There are several beach chairs and outdoor toys and games available, which we appreciated. Cell phone reception was spotty, so you should make sure you have other means to communicate with people. There are a few items I was surprised by, that I thought I would share for others to be aware of. First, there are a number of steps to get from the parking area to the main floor of the house. This was challenging for my mother. Likewise, the listing mentions a low bluff, but there were no pictures of the stairs required to access the beach, and it was higher than I anticipated. Second, the bedroom with two twin beds is not actually a bedroom. It is a room adjacent to the garage with no door to the interior that can be shut for privacy/noise blockage. This worked out fine in our situation, as we had two teenagers in the room, but I would have been upset if I was expecting to put two smaller children in that room, as there is one exterior door plus the door to the garage in the space, and they are two floors away from adults. Third, the neighbors do not like that this is a rental house and we felt like we were under surveillance any time we were outside. The kids didn't want to go play basketball for fear they would be questioned about their presence. Overall we really enjoyed the house and our stay.
