Host was very responsive and welcoming! Addressed a concern that we had as soon as we let them know. The location was awesome, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance! Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Resort But Condo Needs TLC

The Pelican Beach Resort is an amazing place in itself! You have immediate access to several pools, hot tubs, and you are steps from the beach. That being said, the condo for this listing needs some work. You will have the bare essentials. We had to request a dustpan just to sweep up sands that gets tracked in. The cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired. We had to request some clean pillows because one was stained. Two of the pillows didn’t even have pillowcases available. There is a good amount of mildew in the shower. All of the linens and towels had to be changed because we kept finding long hairs in them. They weren’t from us! Be aware that the bedroom is right by the hallway and stairwell, so you will get a lot of outside noise from those areas. But I know that’s nothing that the owner can do anything about. The views from the balcony are amazing! All in all, it was a great area to stay, but just expect less from this particular unit.

Enjoyed the stay

Enjoyed my stay here! Loved the tiki bar next to the beach with drinks and order food. My real favorite part is the resort had enough carts available to unload and load your car! Little things in life!

1st Destin visit

The resort itself was very nice. The pools were big and conveniently located around the property. The resort was not far from most places we wanted to go. The condo itself was on the 2nd floor, which was super nice. If we didn't want to wait for one of the 4 elevators, it was only one floor up to take the stairs. The room was right across from the coin laundry room, which made it easy access to do laundry. The tiki shack was between the 2 largest pools, and offered drinks and great food from the onsite cafe. Prices weren't terrible. Our balcony overlooked one of the pools and was a perfect view of the ocean. The beach is literally steps from the pool. Parking was easy at the resort as well with security to let only residents onto the property as you pulled in. The condo was furnished with plenty of things in the kitchen. Appliances were updated. Only recommendation would be for some of the pots and pans to be replaced, and the deck furniture to be updated. Nothing though that made this not a great stay.

Pelican Resort Property

The atmosphere was amazing, property was very nice and clean Condo was great and our ocean view was incredible!! Employees were friendly and all the other guest as well I have no complaints about this property. Overall the best place me and family has stayed at Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation getaway

Great stay

We had a great time. This is our fourth year to visit Destin and we stayed at Pelican Beach each time. This was our favorite room. All of the rooms have been very nice but we really enjoyed this unit and its location. It over looks the front pool and ocean.

July vacation

We had a great time here. Condo was nice and spacious. The only things I would suggest is a washer and dryer. I spent a lot to be there for a week, I had to do laundry every day and pay extra for that. And maybe the check out time later. But other than that, we truly had a great vacation! Condo was decorated and had a very welcome feeling

Property was “So So”

We come to Destin regularly and enjoy the various properties. This property was not clean when we arrived. Old/ used towels still hung from the shower door, food left in freezer, etc. The master bedroom tv was very dated and did not work. The property management service said they would address these issues but never did. Disappointing.

Ideal family getaway

We loved our time at Pelican Beach! It fit our family of 3 perfectly. It was convenient when it was busy to only have to walk down one flight of stairs. If the poolside restrooms had lines a mile long, we just went up the stairs to the room. We rented beach chairs everyday that comes with a server for all your food and drink needs. It’s perfect for when you are having fun in the water but need to eat. We spent many days at the pools and many nights throwing the football around on the beach. We enjoyed seeing a pod of dolphins every morning off the balcony. There IS a washer dryer less than 50ft from the room. A detail I would’ve loved to know ahead of our trip. Overall, if you have a smaller family this is the best condo option at Pelican Beach Resort and I hope we’ll return soon!

This condo was very clean and had all the basic necessities The location was great, over looking the pool, hot tub and beach. The few things that could be better would be the bunk bed and pull out mattresses upgraded and maybe update the furniture. All in all though a great vacation!.

Getaway

We came to the condo it seemed good, however; around the outsides are roaches in the hallways. The beds were very uncomfortable. The pull out mattress was very thin and lumpy. Ended up changing to sleeping on the actual sofa. The hallway beds were hard and the king size mattress was very springy. The umbrella situation in the beach was ridiculous. You have to pay for Pelican beach resort umbrella and chairs (even though they are sold out) if you bring your own umbrella and chairs - good luck you are about 6 rows back and have no view of the water; which is why we go to the beach! Very crowded resort and the elevators are very, very slow. Kitchen table has a screw on the floor that needs to be tightened which causes the table to wobble. The side table by the sofa is also loose and wobbly. I can honestly say we will not be returning to this resort!

Destin Family Reunion

When we rolled out the hide a bed we decovered it was broken and unusable and had to be replaced; but it took management two days to do that. Then the microwave didn't work because a new breaker was needed. We had family staying at another resort and the plan was for them to come visit. But there were twelve family members and the Pelican Beach Resort only allows two guests. If I had know that before hand, I would have found another resort. One of the toilet paper holders was missing and when I went to the front desk I was told that this was not their responsibility.....PLEASE A very nice resort, overall, but too many problems propped up that should have been handled before we arrived. Management admitted that they knew the hide a bed was broken, but they had not addressed the problem. I won't be returning to Pelican Bay Resort

Umbrella beach

The condo we stayed in was very clean and comfortable..however the condo was not our reason for coming here. Our reason for coming to Destin wast the beach. I say to anyone who wants a great beach experience do not come here. The entire beach in front of the property is riddled with endless rented chairs and umbrellas which causes the beach to be extremely hot and overly crowded. Had a great honeymoon because I love my husband but will never return to this property.
