This amazing Single Family Home is right on the beach in fabulous South Mission Beach. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with an extra 'Sunroom'. This is one of the last remaining Single Family beach Cottages left along the beautiful stretch of South Mission Beach. The two-mile-long and two-block-wide peninsula has beaches on both sides of the strip. With Mission Bay to the east, you have quiet waters for toddlers to enjoy, and on the west you have the surf for the older set to frolic in the waves.
Checkout is 10:00 a.m. except for Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day when check out is 9:00 a.m.

Sea World is just five minutes away. And you have easy access to all the major attractions of San Diego.

Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday.

We had an amazing stay during our holiday break. The house is in an amazing area. I walked to a lovely coffee shop every morning and we walked to the restaurants a couple of times. The boardwalk was amazing! The

We enjoyed the charm of the older style cottage right on the beach. Parking was great . The kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed having the beach chairs, bikes, and boogie boards.Overall, great place to stay!

Perfect for our week stay in Mission Beach! We loved the location. Watched Alex Morgan retire her jersey at the SD Wave game, enjoyed a day at the zoo, along with whale watching and an ocean kayak excursion. Knowing there is lots more to see and do ā€¦ we will be back.

The cottage was perfect for my husband and little oneā€™s weeklong vacation. People stopped constantly at the patio to admire it because of its appeal. We will definitely consider this property again when staying on the beach!

The location is great. The house was clean but needs a little TLC, especially the carpet and blinds. Small ant problem but nothing that got out of control. Overall, it was great for the week we were there and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the hospitality!

Golden Birthday

For location and price this place was wonderful! We had 4 women and 4 girls in this 2 bedroom 2 bath house and it was just right. Needs some updates and maintenance but nothing that we couldn't work around. We will look into this place again next time for sure!

Cute bungalow

We absolutely love this property! We have stayed here three times and will continue in the future. We wake up in the morning, drink our coffee on the back patio, watching the volleyball players. Just a few steps away from the ocean. And a short walk to Belmont Park. Couldnā€™t ask for more. Thank you Al being such a gracious host.

Great spot, just a minute or so walk to the water. Could use an update, clean and tidy, just needs to come into the 2000s. Everything you need for your stay is there.

Great stay!

This was the second time we stayed at this house and really enjoyed it once again! It is the perfect place for our family. We love the location, especially because it is further down on the boardwalk, where is it a little calmer. We even reached out to Al on a holiday with a question and he responded immediately! Beach stay

It was exactly as advertised. Needs updating but comfortable for our group of 8. The patio was great and the volleyball courts were not a problem. A few minor mishaps with coin laundry and ants but resolved quickly. The shower in one bathroom was tricky and the ceiling fan vibration in one bedroom was bad enough to turn it off at night. All in all, a good week.

We had a wonderful time staying in this beach house!!

This house is adorable, and perfectly located for quiet evenings on the patio or easy access to lots of fun! Itā€™s a quaint beach house, and loved the old-style charm!! It could use some sprucing up, and more ceiling fans but we were there on one of the warmer weekends for SoCal. We also enjoyed watching the volleyball players during the day, and wondering the boardwalk in the evenings. Itā€™s just far enough down the beach for a quiet and peaceful experience which is exactly what we were looking for!! Thanks to Al for quickly responding to our questions. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back in the near future!!

Patio Makes the Stay

Wonderful patio, right on the boardwalk. It was fun watching the beach volleyball players. The house is cute & clean. It can use some updating. We didn't like the "coin washer & dryer". That was a first for us in all the VRBO's we have stayed in over the years. The other thing that would be nice is some foil, zip locks, saran wrap, maybe 2 rolls of TP in each bathroom. When you fly in from another state it makes a difference. The bedrooms are spacious. We enjoyed our girl time together. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Cute House, Great Location

We rented this house for Thanksgiving week, family of 5 with adult children and significant others. 2 bedrooms are private with 2 large, comfortable pull outs. Plenty of room for everyone. The volleyball courts are so close and fun to watch everyone playing. The back patio is the perfect place for morning coffee and afternoon happy hour. Easy walk to the escape room at the Belmont Park, or take the bikes! We decided to make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in this rental, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. So many dishes, pots, pans and even reusable containers for leftovers. I was pleasantly surprised, as some rentals have minimal kitchen items. We will definitely rent this house again. Looking forward to our next visit to Mission Beach!

Great trip

Overall 5 stars! There were some flying ants that invaded and left wings in the bedroom and bathroom (gross!) but they didnā€™t bother us otherwise. They disappeared after the first day. We enjoyed sitting in the back porch and watching the volleyball games. Had a couple of neighborhood cats that stopped by for some loving. Could use a second umbrella for the porch as the afternoon sun was strong and it was hard to squeeze 4 chairs with the one umbrella. Al responded instantly with a question about the bikes. Didnā€™t cook at all except for making coffee. No keurig but the coffee maker worked just fine. Was a perfect cozy place for us!

Location! Cute Bungalow

This is an old original bungalow directly on the boardwalk in South Mission Beach. Itā€™s old, but itā€™s clean. It has everything youā€™d need to have a relaxing beach time. Love the big patio to relax, eat, watch volleyball then the sunset. It has a big driveway so our car never had to leave. I canā€™t express how nice and relaxing it is to wake up when you want, sip coffee on this patio, decide to hang out on the beach, but have your full bathroom and kitchen available to you at any time. No dealing with far away dirty bathrooms. Huge. We love volleyball so that was a big bonus, to play whenever ( and watch them play). Thanks for the boogie boards, a couple of them are REALLY beat up, but still workable. Theyā€™ll break on someone soon. The beach bikes were crazy old and uncomfortable, but they were free and they got us up and down the boardwalk when we felt like cruising. The gas grille on the patio is useless, it has such a low flame that it canā€™t cook meat. The house itself is adequate for a few days. We would like to come back. Thanks!

Itā€™s a gem on the boardwalk

Itā€™s nothing fancy, but itā€™s cozy with vintage vibes and we loved that. There was only one thing that bothered me, the blinds in the front Sun room were broken and when you tried to close them shut all the way they would fall off. It was a privacy concern and itā€™s a simple inexpensive fix that they should invest in. Its location is in front of the volley ball courts not far from the inlet to the bay. If you want to go to the ocean you have to walk a little bit down the boardwalk. Itā€™s a great size which makes it comfortable for families, loved having coffee on the cute patio. I would definitely stay there again but next time when itā€™s warmer, we went December 2 for the weekend.
