Eaglet Cabin near the Shenandoah River

Eaglet cabin is a newly-built vacation rental cabin. It's near our Eagle's Nest, Tree Top and Oak Tree cabins and, like them, is near the river, sitting up high above the river with an area to walk down to the river's edge. It's part of an 18 acre "fish trap" location that was used by ancient American Indians hundreds of years ago.

Eaglet is a cozy cabin with a modern beautiful exterior and interior. Hardwood floors, stainless appliances, flat-screen TVs - everything is new, luxurious and waiting for your personal enjoyment. The pictures capture some of the beauty, modern design, nature and open spaces. Take a look at those and drink it all in!

In terms of size, Eaglet is meant for single families or two couples for a max of 4 guests. There is one bedroom and 2 twin size air mattresses, with one bathroom and a laundry room.

FAQ / Cabin Rules:

PLEASE NOTE: The optional firewood charge of $15/night is for firewood for the outdoor fire pit. (The indoor fireplace at this property is gas.) If you don't think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own, please let us know! We are more than happy to refund that to you.

No parties, events, or gatherings of guests that are not included in the reservation are allowed at Eaglet

The base rate includes 2 people. Additional guests are extra $35 per person per night, please read the itemized charges carefully and make sure to make your reservation for the correct number of guests that will be staying. Thank you!

Pet Fee: $85 per dog ( max 2 dogs) - No Cats

Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.

There is a separate security deposit required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions about it- we are happy to answer them!

Always a great place to stay!

Second year in a row stay at fishtrap. . Stayed at eaglet again and as always was perfect. I got with a group of 14 who occupy 3 cabins in total. Every cabin is always clean and well prepared for our visit. Many more years to come.

Wonderful getaway

This little cabin is perfect for escaping from the big city for the weekend. We came with plans for hiking and seeing the caverns, and wound up staying in the cabin for most of the weekend with a bottle of wine. Very relaxing and lovely.

Everything we were looking for.

This property was secluded and quiet but close enough to town (Luray) to make a quick trip in for whatever you need. Perfect log cabin vibe on the interior of the property. Great views from the house and near by. Short drive to Shenandoah National Park which was key for us.

Exceptional Stay

My partner and I stayed at Eaglet over the weekend. It exceeded all our expectations. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Our house manager was also very responsive. We are definitely looking to book again for another stay very soon!

Eaglet review

This pace was a great place to stay and a perfect getaway! It had everything we could have asked for. The hot tub and grill was excellent and the view was spectacular. I will definitely be staying here again!

This was a perfect little A-frame cabin nestled in the Shenandoah River woods! The property was clean, well stocked, and absolutely wonderful for a romantic weekend getaway. We even got engaged while staying here!! Can’t wait to be back soon and make more memories!

I had an amazing christmas the place is Just beautiful

It Was amazing. I went With my husband and son to celebrate christmas and our first year Anniversary It is the perfect place to disconnect from the world. The View is Just beautiful. We are definitely coming back 😀

Cozy, clean cabin great for a quick getaway from DC!

My boyfriend and I had a great weekend at the Eaglet Cabin in Luray. It was very clean and very nicely decorated. The gas fireplace was easy to use as well as the hot tub, which was ready for us to use upon arrival. The couch and bed were also extremely comfortable! Our only qualm was that though advertised as a cabin with high speed internet, we weren't able to stream anything on the TVs there. Other than that, it was everything I could've hoped for! We also texted the host a question while we were there and he responded immediately.

Cozy weekend cabin!

We stayed in the Eaglet cabin this past weekend. We LOVED it. The cabin was so comfortable and the location is great. A little walk down to the river was the perfect exercise for us this weekend. The cabin has all things you need. The only thing we could even comment on was the TV’s are small for the size of the cabin, but if that’s our first world problem, so be it! They are smart TVs so that’s great. I did have to clean the hot tub a bit before using because there was debris and a line of muck around the rim. Over all, we loved our stay and will be back next year for a getaway. We may even stay in a bigger cabin closer to the river, but the Eaglet was perfect for us. I so enjoyed a relaxing weekend.

Awesome getaway!

We discovered the eaglet through bring fido and could not have been happier with this place. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The eaglet had amazing views in the summer that will only get better during the fall foliage. We highly recommend grocery shopping if you’re there for more than a few days as food in town was limited but that is not shenrentals fault. You will never run out of firewood and stars in the sky at night here! Our dog loved laying in the sun from the giant windows that face the back of the house. The hot tub and grill worked flawlessly for outside amenities. Lastly the deck that’s off the upstairs bedroom is absolutely perfect for morning coffee watching the fog roll off the mountains. I cannot say enough good things about this place. 10/10.

A peaceful and quiet stay

A perfect sized cabin for the two of us, honestly it has more then enough room for 2 people. It had everything we needed for our stay except the food as mentioned in the description. The view was beautiful day and night, you can see the river down the hill and mountains on all sides. The sun rises beautifully through the windows in the morning as well. Even though there are other cabins around you are secluded in your own space. We even saw a bald eagle right outside the cabin take flight. The cabin was clean and we couldn't ask for much more. It was a super calm, easy and relaxing stay. Having the hot tub, table and a grill on the deck is perfect to relax outside and take in the peace and quiet. I just wish we could've afforded to stay for longer. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends and hopefully I can stay here again. It was well worth the drive.

Birthday weekend in Eaglet

We stayed at the Eaglet for my girlfriend's birthday for two consecutive years because we enjoyed it so much the first time! We like the Eaglet because it's the perfect amount of privacy and the cabin is small and beautiful perfect for a couple - we like the unique features like the spiral staircase, open concept between the bedroom and the first floor and we enjoy having breakfast out on the balcony from the bedroom while the sun rises. We love cooking food on the grill and having s'mores from the firepit before getting in the hot tub as the sun sets. This cabin combines everything you need for a perfect getaway from the city while keeping essential creature comforts. The cabin also has great customer service - everything is always clean and stocked for your arrival, and last year we couldn't figure out how to turn the fireplace on so we called the house manager and he came right over and turned it on for us! We have recommended Shenandoah Rentals to everyone and will continue to come back!

Perfect getaway

We loved our stay at this place. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn't, which made for a very relaxing getaway. The hotub was perfect, the firepit was so cozy, and the mountain views are unbeatable. We'd definitely stay here again.
