Tie your boat up after a day on the lake and enjoy dinner on the deck, a dip in the hot tub, a game of pool or simply relax by the fire pit. Open concept layout with Great Room, Dining Area with a large hardwood dining room table, double oven kitchen, loft for quiet time, screened porch, ceiling fans in each room, central air conditioning and encounters with mother nature. Relaxation!!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kevin’s home!! His home is so welcoming and a perfect place for us to relax and reconnect!! Kevin made sure we knew how to get in touch with him if we needed anything. Everything was perfect and we didn’t need to reach out to him as anything we would have needed information about was written down jn the information folder. We look forward to our next trip!!!

Great Lakefront Getaway

My family and I stayed at this property while my son participated in a lacrosse tournament in Saratoga Springs. Kevin could not have been more accommodating - he was easy to work with and responded immediately. The home is spacious and the unobstructed view of the lake is breathtaking. The house contained everything you might need during your stay - spices, paper goods, zip lock bags, you name it. Unusual in my experience to have so much on hand for guest use, but certainly helpful. Our favorite thing was access to the lake through the dock - swimming and kayaking during sunset. A lovely home with a lovely host. I highly recommend.

Phenomenal stay

A group of friends and I went to Kevin's place for a weekend meetup. Everything was fantastic, the house is amazing, prime access to the lake, and Kevin was a fantastic host. I highly recommend.

Summer getaway

We absolutely loved our time at Hanson’s Hideaway!! Kevin is an amazing host - attention to detail and very attentive!! My family and I love spending time on the deck, sitting down near the lake and just hanging out playing games at the table (just to name a few). This was our third visit to Kevin’s home and we very much look forward to our next trip!!

Weekend Getaway

This home is absolutely beautiful! There were six of us total, and there was plenty of room for our weekend stay. We never felt crowded around one another. Luckily, the weather cooperated, and we took advantage of his lake rights, just across the road. There is ample seating, yard and dock space. Plenty to do at the property, if you never leave. The wrap around porch was a perfect spot for morning coffee and watching the sunset was one of my favorites. Kevin was easy to reach, and communication with him was effortless. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on the Sacandaga!

Fantastic getaway

Kevin has a beautiful home that checked all the boxes for us. The house was very clean, well maintained and all the extra amenities like the hot tub, pool table, water accessories, etc. made for a great stay. Kevin was easy to get in touch with and always replied promptly. We were fortunate to see some beautiful sunrises and we had great weather that allowed for lots of swimming and sunbathing on the dock. We definitely recommend a stay here and are already thinking about our next trip next summer.

Better than Pictures

Wonderful location for two families to vacation together. Kevin was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Our only bummer was that it rained all week and we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors like we wanted to. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect haven for our Saratoga trip!

This is just a beautiful property. The views, the amenities and the awesome hospitality made our stay wonderful. We always attend Saratoga on the closing Labor Day weekend and we are big racing fans. But I think our favorite day was the day we spent back at the lake! We swam, kayaked and just enjoyed the fantastic views from the house and the lakeside below. Kevin provides everything you need, including a golf cart for the ride down the hill. You don't need it...but it is great for transporting coolers or a quick bathroom trip. The house itself is fantastic: great pool table, a spotless hot tub, super comfy beds, a stocked kitchen and great TV and music options including top of the line Sonos sound. But it's the views that top everything and you have almost unlimited deck space to sit back and enjoy the day from sunrise to moonrise! Five Stars all the way!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway (second year in a row)!! Kevin is an amazing host who is attentive and pays attention to all the details!!! A perfect week

Lakeside hospitality at its best! Not only is it a relaxing location to enjoy the lake, the owner paid attention to little details such as providing emergency toiletries, otc medication and even a first aid kit. Though we didn’t need any of these items while we were enjoying the view of the lake, playing in the lake, fires on the deck and reading on the screened in porch, it was nice to know they were available. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and the sunsets were gorgeous. We highly recommend this property as your home away from home.

Awesome Vaca!

Kevin was great, super attentive and made this so easy! His house was amazing. It lacked nothing! The views were incredible, plenty to do with teenage boys and the sunsets were spectacular! We will definitely be booking again for next year!

Wonderful Home

We enjoyed a great week in Kevin's home..The home had all the amenities we needed, pool table, darts , 2 fire pits, hot tub, kayaks, reat upper deck and screened porch...etc..Close drive to Sarasota Springs for horse racing.Great communication from beginning to the day we left..Thanks for a lovely week!!

Stunning Views, Beautiful Home and Awesome Communication

Kevin’s home has a beautiful view of the Great Sacandaga lake with more amenities than you could ever want. It was the perfect location for several couples to enjoy a summer at the lake. Kevin’s communication was fantastic and he gave us everything we needed and more to enjoy our weekend. We look forward to renting from Kevin again next summer. Amazing Host!

Kevin was such a great host. His property was beautiful, clean, and full of every amenity you could ever want. He left thorough instructions for us, and answered promptly if we had any questions. Definitely would recommend!

Originally from Delaware, this property is now my full time home that I love and enjoy very much. I am retired after working for GE for 37 1/2 years at various locations in the northeast with the last being Schenectady (since 1999). I have been on this lake since 1991 with this being my third property on the lake. I purchased it in anticipation of retiring to full time living on the lake. I enjoy all of the activities you can do on this lake, boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, lounging lakeside, sitting by a campfire or simply floating along with wind in the boat.

Given the number of years I have owned property on this lake, it is clear how much I enjoy what the lake has to offer. It was a goal for a lot of those years to eventually retire here. This particular house caught my attention as having adequate size to live full time in, the terrific views and proximity to nature, more than enough lakeside access with deep water and terrific features and amenities. This is not an investment interest to me, but my home. I am simply looking to rent this out for a limited number of days each summer and hope to find people who will enjoy it and care for it as I do.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The fantastic sunset views both from the house or sitting lakeside stand out number one to me. Other special features I believe are the spacious deck that I had rebuilt with Trex decking, a finished basement area with additional seating and a game area, a screened in porch for a different perspective or if its raining. 3 full bathrooms enables adequate access for guests. The property was updated by its previous owners and I have continued that with even more updates. The open concept with large windows facing the lake make for a relaxing interior atmosphere.
