Our home is located 1 Mile from the center of Rhinebeck Village.

We offer modern amenities in a Restful, Peaceful & Scenic environment.
Blooming gardens in the spring, a in-ground pool in the summer, beautiful foliage in the Fall and skiing, tubing and inside warmth in the winter.

Walking distance to Northern Dutchess Hospital (1/2 Mile) and to center of town (1 Mile).

Children are welcome and the house offers a variety of features for all ages.

Many groups come to relax and enjoy each other in their 'own' home.

Beautiful gardens tranquil setting

Lovely, spacious home with a great pool and beautiful garden settings for privacy and peace yet close to Rhinebeck Village with its shops and restaurants. Home had everything you needed. Comfortable beds and great kitchen.

Great house in a nice town

The house is great, pool was very nice, lots of games, books and musical instruments. Property is gorgeous. Highly recommend. Hillary was very helpful.

Spacious outside, cozy inside. Lots of room to relax with friends and family outdoors, including the sunny deck, patio, pool-side, and covered porch. Comfy living, dining, and sitting rooms as well. Convenient to local hikes, Fairgrounds, and downtown.

What a wonderful hideaway minutes from Rhinebeck village. The pool is very private and delightful. Great kitchen for preparing meals to eat out in the deck. Or head into town for some excellent resturants. Hilary was very responsive and friendly. Loved this home

Overall we loved the house but the. mattresses in the twin bedroom were not comfortable.

This property was amazing. The pool was the highlight (seemed to vary in depth from 3-9 feet but with a nice graduated ledge all the way around), but the center of town also provided some nice treats in terms of decent food and neat places to see. The great room and kitchen give the place a modern feel, the front part of the house is cozy and the bedrooms are nice to sleep in. Be aware that there is no central air but that is not a problem at all as each room you spend time in has window units that work very well. Having them on as needed kept the place very comfortable. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the home and a very nice India theme in all the main spaces. Perfect for a family get away. My family and I had a great time there and if didn't take long to feel like home!

Charming House!

My family enjoyed their stay very much over the Columbus Day weekend! Hilary is a superb host! Very much on top in responding to my emails. The house is very charming, very comfy, very clean & nicely decorated. And you just get that homey feeling. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfortable. We will surely come back in the near future. This is a home away from home!

Beautiful home for a family getaway!

Perfectly situated right outside of beautiful Rhinebeck on a tree lined road. It’s the best of both worlds, completely in nature with the amenities just a few minutes away. We loved the huge deck, grill and outdoor dining area - so much so we ate with Jackets on just to enjoy the beauty of the overhanging trees, deer and fresh air. Fun playhouse with a slide for kids and lots of room to run around. The cozy home had a fabulous home office area to work remote and superb WiFi. The rental process was easy and the host is superb and was incredibly helpful and gracious. We can’t wait to be back!

Indoor and outdoor spaces at this home are inviting and very comfortable. Hilary was easy to communicate with and resolved the one problem we encountered. The property is one mile from downtown Rhinebeck where there are great restaurants. In addition to this there are a tremendous number of really fun things to do nearby including visits to FDR’s Estate, the Hudson River School of Art, the Rhinebeck Aerodrome, and much more!

Beautiful old house, peaceful environment

This home is surrounded by nature but a close drive to amenities. There are many peaceful sitting areas outside (including a fountain), as well as the pool area and upstairs deck with gas grill. It is pleasantly decorated with nice open spaces and a high ceiling. The kitchen has everything you need, and the owners, who are very helpful, generously offer the use of their collection of CDs and record albums. It was perfect for our family of 5; comfortable for everyone. Great in the warm weather but likely just as enjoyable in any season.

Beautiful and comfortable - The perfect getaway!

Our family stayed for a week. It was the perfect winter getaway from the city. The house is very spacious. My husband and I worked and were able to have zoom meetings while my daughters played in and outside in the beautiful yard. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The property is private and close to Rhinebeck Village (only a mile). Hillary was absolutely wonderful and extremely responsive. Hope to visit again, next time to enjoy the pool in Summer!

Wonderful house in wonderful neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay in Rhinebeck, the house had all amenities necessary including fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfortable, impressive and interesting decor from around the world. The neighborhood is delightful with a beautiful park and trail system as well as a short walk to downtown Rhinebeck. The library made us want to stay longer to read all of the wonderful books! We'll be back!

Beautify and homey

The home is lovely with unique and beautiful artwork, yet it was very cozy and warm. It is very clean and the pool was fantastic. So convenient to town. Hilary was a fantastic host, offering suggestions for things to do with the kids. We truly enjoyed it.

Great Stay and Great Host

The property was way nicer than we expected from the photos. Hillary was a great host and allowed us to stay past our check out time since there was nobody checking in that night.

comfortable stay

My family stayed at “the happy house” for a week. Our stay was wonderful. The house had plenty of room for my niece and daughter to resume zoom meetings without making the rest of us tiptoe around. So many quiet relaxing areas both indoor and out! The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cookware and modern appliances. There is ample seating indoors and out. I sat every morning on the deck with my coffee listening to the birds. The property is private and and spacious. Hillary was easy to work with and responsive. Pool was GREAT!

Graduation Weekend in Rhinebeck

Great stay! Spent a lot of time in house due to awful weather and it was very comfortable and accommodating . We are big fans of the area and the Hudson Valley and would definitely stay here again

Restorative Winter Sta

We spent a lovely week at this cozy home in Rhinebeck. The house was impeccably clean and a short drive and nice walk from the village of Rhinebeck and all of the shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time just reading and relaxing in the large and comfy living room which got plenty of great light. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking although we were so close to so many great restaurants it was tempting to do takeout each night. If you do need to work, the WiFi was high speed and well suited for that. Overall, we had a great time and would love to return in the spring when it is warmer and we can enjoy the house’s outdoor amenities.

Beautiful large home in Rhinebeck

This was our second stay at The Happy House and we had a great time again! The house is a 2 minute drive from all the shops and restaurants in Rhinebeck and centrally located near tons of other cute towns (Kingston, Saugerties, Red Hook, Hudson - to name just a few). There are 3 large bedrooms upstairs, one has two twin beds which was perfect for my kids to share. There are a ton of kids toys in the home (games, blocks, books, etc), so everyone stayed entertained. The host was very communicative throughout our stay and offered tips on things to do locally. If you visit in the winter, there is a great sledding hill in the backyard next to a treehouse and a slide and the house is 30 minutes from several mountains for skiing/tubing. We hope to come back in the summer so we can check out the pool on the property!
