The Farm at Hyde Park

Welcome to The Farm at Hyde Park; a micro farm experience like no other. This spring we are planting the expanded berry patches and the new raised vegetable/herb gardens. Come stay and enjoy locally made honeys, jams and syrups along with fresh farm produce.

Come visit the historic mid-Hudson valley region while staying in a lost union church from the late 1800's. This unique open space residence features a loft area, large eating and communal space along with private outdoor area and fire pit.

If the dates you are looking for the Church are not available check to see if the Calf Pen (2 bed, 2 bath) is available. If you enter the Vrbo ID 3171174 into the "Going to" box on the main page you'll see the calf pen property.

If you desire a date that is not yet available for booking please contact us and we can unlock and allow for a booking more than 6 months in advance.

Although massive and beautiful the fireplace is not for use for real fires. The fireplace has an electric wood stove

Our only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer. A very beautiful and comfortable historic spot. Glen was gracious and helpful. We loved it and our dogs really enjoyed the space.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay. Glen was very responsive and proactive. The space was beautiful as it was decorated for Christmas. It was very warm and peaceful. Definitely looking forward to returning!

This could not have been more perfect for our impromptu visit to the Hudson Valley. Close to the little shops in Rhinebeck and close to sightseeing in Hyde Park. Loved the church, it was seriously quaint (too many little things about it to mention here) The very small but adorable kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with almost every kitchen gadget you'd need. Glen, our host, gave us quick responses to our pre-stay questions, and the one time we needed him during our 3 night stay, (because I accidently turned off the geothermal system - don't touch the red plate switch Anne Marie!!!) he picked up the phone immediately and had the heat back on quickly. Our favorite thing, upon leaving one of the taverns in the area, was to say "sorry, we've got to get back to church."

Glen was very friendly and greeted us when we arrived. He provided fresh eggs, milk, honey, and syrup from his farm, which was such a thoughtful and generous touch. The place was tidy, comfortable, and truly unique — it’s not every day you get to stay in a beautifully converted church! We enjoyed hearing about the history of the property from Glen, which made the stay feel even more personal. We also appreciated that our dogs were warmly welcomed, which made the visit complete. The space was peaceful, with lovely natural light filtering through the windows and plenty of charm in every detail. It was conveniently located near Hyde Park and other Hudson Valley attractions, making it a perfect home base for exploring the area. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

Location was great for visiting State and National historic sites. We came for CIA Bocuse which was awesome. Kitchen is small but efficient. Home is simple no frills. If you are looking for luxury accommodations this is not for you. Host was nice and great communication throughout our stay.

This was the perfect option for us for a nearby wedding. We ate twice at the River & Post (excellent) and went into Rhinebeck for the Sunday market. The property itself was very accommodating and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable, and plenty of seating options in the main room. The outside area was also a perfect place for coffee in the morning and we loved the chickens running around. Glenn could not have been nicer. Highly recommend!

I spend the weekend with my mom, daughter and aunt. The house was very clean & comfortable. The host was very friendly and welcoming. He left us eggs, zucchini and samples of honey and syrup. Location was close to many activities. I would stay here again.

Everything about staying here was wonderful, from finding on VRBO, communicating with the homeowner, to check-in to enjoying the comforts of this beautiful church and setting. We look forward to coming back next year!

Wonderful!

Great place and very attentive host. Glen created a walking path for my pup. Good cause he's reactive and he did not have to walk the neighborhood. Immediately addressed any issues. Wonderful house. Will stay again.

Super fun church on great property!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Farm Church during our trip to CIA. It was clean, accurately described and very close to our destination. The host, Glen, is very helpful and kind. We would absolutely stay again.

Rural and Convenient Location.

This old farm church has a rural feel to it yet it is convenient to Hyde Park attractions. Glenn, the owner, is very communicative and helpful. The Culinary Institute with its wonderful restaurants and the FDR home and Library are just a few miles down the country highway nearby. The same for Eleanor’s Val-Kil and the Vanderbilt Mansion. My favorite place was a few miles north in Rhinebeck What a great village! Historic and full of taverns and shops. Inside the church, there is a bedroom downstairs and one upstairs in the loft area. The small bathroom is downstairs with a step in shower. Pets are welcomed! We had a nice stay.

Great weekend with family

The Church was a great spot for our family to meet up and relax together. Glen was welcoming, generous, and available for questions. We cooked and grilled, enjoyed sitting outside and walking the property with our dog, the furniture and beds were comfy, and the complimentary eggs, milk, honey, and syrup were delicious! Thanks for helping to make our weekend so pleasant.

Great place! Nothing like a hotel which is refreshing. To stay in the church was a neat experience.

Church at hyde park

The church was very cool and unique. Samples eggs, milk, honey and syrup were a plus. The host Glen was ver easy to communicate with. My daughters bedroom was closed off, but the bedroom in the loft was not. That was a little hard to sleep in the loft if someone wanted to watch t.v. You could always use earphones though if you did not want to disturb the loft sleeper. Place was very clean. There were signs in front of the yard for a calf pen and chicken coop but didnt see or hear any signs of a working farm. The church was well stocked with appliances and eating utensils. There was a fire pit and wood also on the property to use. All in all, nice experience.
