You'll love the Charm of Family Tides Beach Front House!

This single story, waterfront house offers a whimsical retreat on the sandy Pierpont Beach. The layout places a bedroom and bathroom on each side of the house, with direct assess to the beach- offering a cozy retreat for you & your beachside companions. Primary bedroom has a king bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds. Oh, did we mention the pink kitchen? It's stocked with all the gear you need to whip up seaside feasts.




All communication with your Beach View Representative will go through the channels you initiated the reservation from.

Pierpont Beach, Ventura County's coastal gem, offers pristine sands, vibrant surf, and a laid-back atmosphere. Nestled in Ventura, California, this seaside haven boasts charming beach houses, stunning views, and a relaxed community vibe. It's where the sun, sand, and sea converge for the perfect California coastal experience.

Our Beach View Representative will roll out the welcome mat. They will guide you through the check-in process, walk you through the property and introduce you to all the amenities it has to offer you. They will also answer any questions you may have. Trust us, they're as friendly as the city itself!

Family Tides is a single story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath on the beach!
One bedroom with a King size bed and television, with bathroom down the hall.
Second bedroom has 2 twin beds with bathroom down the hall.
Kitchen is fully stocked. Dining area seats 6 easily. Stackable washer and dryer are located in the laundry room and available for you to use.
The beach front deck has plenty of seating/lounging, propane BBQ, and outside dining table seats 6.

Public transit is limited. Easy access to private transport companies like Uber, Lyft, and Taxi.

Comforters, linens, and beach towels are provided.
The kitchen is stocked with with all the necessary equipment to prepare and serve most meals. Dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, trash bags, and basic cleaning/sanitation supplies are provided.
The bathrooms have two rolls of toilet tissue, box of tissues, hand soap, travel shampoo, conditioner and body soap.

For beach lovers

For beach lovers, the location could not have been better: it is actually ON the beach! It's a small cottage with a surfy vibe. Beds are very comfy. The living room is a very comfortable hangout spot with an amazing view and fireplace. The deck is large and nice to eat or hangout on. Kitchen is definitely original and very retro-looking, but well equipped. Management is very fast to respond to requests or questions. My only recommendation would be that they should provide shampoo and bar soap, but no biggie. We will definitely come back!

What a wonderful gem on a beautiful, peaceful beach! Very comfortable home, perfect for my wife and I and our 93 year old mother so she could spend a wonderful week seeing amazing sunsets and enjoying the ocean waves.

Our Favorite Spot

We just finished our third stay at Family Tides and we already are hoping to make many more. The management is so easy to work with and they even check in to make sure all is as expected. The location of the house cannot be beat in both view and proximity to great restaurants and activities. It is an easy ride to Santa Barbara, Ojai, Santa Ynez to name a few. It is an older home and she shows her age but don't let that detour you. The house is very comfortable and the views are incredible. I encourage you to take advantage of it.

Family vacation

I was looking for a place right on the beach. I wanted to be able to feel safe with my young daughters going to and from the house also. And this place did not disappoint. The sunsets were so beautiful. The house itself is adorable and has vintage charm which I love. Communication with property management was very prompt and easy. We enjoyed every moment there. My family and I look forward to returning next year.

Beautiful location, needs some basic maintenance

This is a beautiful spot and a charming home. Dawn was tremendously helpful and everything went smoothly. We would come back. Having said that there are some things seriously wrong with this older rental. First, there was a mouse in the kitchen. Second, the electrical outlet sparked when I plugged in my charger. Third, there was chipped paint everywhere and I worried about my grandkids and splinters. The door latches are beyond rusty. I pinched my finger on the sliding pocket door. The grill is really hard to use. Because there is no dishwasher and the last visitor washed the dishes, my coffee always tasted like soap. I was aware this was a small, older home but fell in love with the location and deck when I rented it. I would rent it again but a few minor basic maintenance fixes are necessary if only for safety purposes.

Fantastic!

Cute and clean little house that was perfect for our group of 4. Location is perfect for walking to the pier and Main Street restaurants. We had a blast!

Perfect Spot

You cannot beat the location of this property. This was our second time back, and we will likely come again. The house is a bit worn, but you won’t mind because the beach and the outside deck are wonderful. The property manager is super responsive and check in and out was easy. The neighborhood is very quiet and the people that live there year round were friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay.

charming vintage beach bungalow

Location is great, house was comfortable with some new furniture, seat cushions and a newly installed wall to wall carpet which was fine but not a great choice for flooring for a house directly on the beach !! I would also add that the homeowner should provide a solution for removing the tar from bottom of feet after a walk on the sand or at the very least, alert the guest to the inevitability of having tar stuck to your feet, especially with a carpet in the house! we ended up purchasing coconut oil and cotton balls and a towel to lay down on the carpet so as to not track sand and tar into the house. We also did not have any internet access for the duration of our stay. Dawn seemed attentive to the situation and said she reached out to the provider; however no solution was made and neither internet or tv were available for us. Another surprise was that on one of the days, we came home to the bungalow to find that the house was unlocked and the sliding doors were open. We contacted Dawn who got back to us a short while later to say that the homeowner had stopped in while we were out. I understand that is the right of the homeowner as stated in the contract, but I was concerned that my jewelry and other valuable items were left unsecured. Besides those complaints, our stay was very nice. Dawn was responsive ; the house is charming and has a great location and I would definitely recommend it and hope to stay there again sometime.

Relaxing Anniversary Trip

We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary. The weather was great and it was such a wonderful location. The house had everything we could have needed and more. Bed was comfy!

Amazing location and cozy home!

My family loved our stay here! The location can't be beat- steps to the sand, easy walk to the pier, and lots of great restaurants to choose from in the area. The space was perfect for our needs and are looking forward to returning. :)

Beautiful location

It’s a beautiful location and amazing deck where you can pretty much spend your entire time relaxing, reading, watching sunsets! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful and cozy beachfront property

We absolutely loved staying at this property. It's right on the beach, you can't get any closer! Property was clean and super cozy. It's not updated and definitely gives you the mid-century vibes, but it's so cute! The pink kitchen is awesome! Washing machine and dryer is available so you can keep everything clean. Fridge is nice and large and pretty much brand new. All appliances worked like they should and was perfect for my small family. TV has all the smart apps you can want. Disney, Hulu, cable, YouTube, Netflix, all of them available. They have a grip of books and board games too if you don't want to watch TV. Few caveats during our stay: 1) heater didn't work. It wasn't brought to our attention before we moved in so it kinda caught us by surprise when it wasnt getting warm. We did contact the owners but unfortunately they couldn't help us with space heaters. So we just bundled up a little more. 2) like other reviewers said, the shower heads aren't good for kids. We brought our own shower head with hose bib for the kiddos to shower with. 3) toilet In the master bathroom didn't flush because the handle came came loose. Luckily I'm a handyman and fixed it easily. Would we stay again? Absolutely!!

Toes in the Sand ☀️

What a wonderful weekend we enjoyed in Ventura! The property was perfect for myself, my teen daughter and my young adult son. Location was absolutely perfect! I grew up spending my summers on Weymouth Lane at my parents beach house. While walking to the pier all those summers, I always dreamed of staying in “one of those houses on the sand”. Your home is fabulous! Loved the nostalgia. Reminds me of my childhood summers, but better location! Priceless! Hope to return next summer and bring my older son & his girlfriend. Plan to make it a tradition ❤️

As advertised

This is a really nice small beach bungalow surrounded by newly constructed multilevel Mcmansions. The home was pretty much as advertised and provided my family with one of the best beach getaways we've ever had. The bad: The deck is showing signs of wear and tear loose planks may be a Hazzard sooner than later. The gas grill was unusable covered in dirt and grime. This did take away from my desire to bbq on the beach since we did not bring charcoal. We made the adjustment and utilized the fully functional kitchen. The shower in the master is made for very small people. I am 6'2" and barely fit myself my 5"3' wife also struggled with the lack of space.. The shower head is set at about 5' 5" so showering for me was not the best experience. With that said, the positives far outweighs the negatives. The location is amazing. The easy beach access from both rooms and the living area were terrific. I'd recommend bringing a shower head extension and you're good to go. My wife loved the place we would def visit again.

No frills

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The best part about the property is the deck leads right on to the sand. Area is quiet and peaceful. The house is as advertised and provides for you basic needs. The property hasn’t been updated and had a few minor issues.

Wonderful sunsets

This property is like staying in your great Aunt’s beach house. It’s clean and roomy but hasn’t been updated since she lived there. The bedrooms are nice and comfortable and there’s plenty of seating in the living room and dining room. The kitchen and bathrooms are functional. As everyone says….it’s the location…. and it’s wonderful.

Can't beat the location

This house is very comfortable and the view and location right on the beach is incredible! We found the inside very comfortable and well maintained and while 'vintage' it was perfect. For a beach house it didn't have that griminess that sometimes come from all the salt and sand. We loved our stay here!
