We absolutely loved this location and the house. The pool was great to have as well. The house needs a little upkeep and the cleaning crew could have done a better job getting it ready but other than that our stay was lovely.

Amazing house

House was amazing! Had everything we needed. Internet was super slow for those who still had to work a little but other than that is was perfect! Close to the beach and everything else you would need!

Sisters Fun

Loved the home! It was very clean and well laid out and stocked well. Bikes were super handy and very fun! Was a bit surprised to see pool was shared with another cottage though. Too chilly to get in pool and we were on different schedules, so it was not an issue. Just didn't expect that (and nor did the other folks as they were equally surprised to see us when we met on the pool deck).

The Dejarnette Cottage is in a great location and worked well for three couples. The bathroom for the bedroom on the first floor closest to the road is a poor design. It has a window in the shower at waist level which was flooded with water each time the shower was used and clearly showed it had sustained water damage over the years. This same bedroom has two large windows facing the pool and two smaller windows facing the street. The blinds did not work on the smaller windows so we couldn't open them. We didn't open the blinds on the windows facing the pool because it is in the direct path of the walkway to the front door, so there is no privacy with the shades open. This made the room very dark. I have stayed in Rosemary Beach many times over the years and was disappointed in the comfort of the furnishings and the supplies in the house. The dining room chairs are very uncomfortable (they need cushions on the wicker seats). The kitchen had minimal supplies (a few dishwasher tablets, paper towels and dish soap). There were no seasonings (salt, pepper, etc) and not even a welcome pack of coffee. Every house I've stayed in at Rosemary Beach has these basic kitchen staples. We enjoyed the four bikes that came with the house, but it would have been nice to have 6 bikes since there were 6 of us. We had to rent two bikes in Rosemary. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Rosemary, but I would look for other accommodations before I booked Dejarnette again.

It certainly sounds like you enjoyed all the best parts of 30A—great food, beach time, bikes, and family memories—so we’re sorry to hear the home itself wasn’t the right fit for you. This cottage consistently receives high praise, and guests love both the private pool and the community amenities. Still, we’ve reviewed the specifics you passed along to our property care team, and we’ll take them under consideration as we continue improving the home. Regarding kitchen supplies, we keep only non-perishables in the house. Seasonings, oils, and other food items aren’t left behind for sanitary reasons and to avoid attracting any unwanted beachside “guests.” As for the starter supplies, the home is stocked to standard with basics to get you through arrival until you can shop for your preferred supplies. It truly sounds like this property just wasn’t the best match for your group’s preferences, and that’s okay—sometimes even a great home isn’t the right home. We’d be glad to welcome you back for another stay in a place that fits your style a bit better next time you’re in Rosemary.

Perfect for Families

We enjoyed a week here with our two teens and their friends. The location to the beach and our own private pool was perfect. Each group having their own bathroom was great too. I can see this property being really nice for 2-3 families to share. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable but my only complaint is not having a regular shower head in the upstairs master. The rain shower is nice but we missed having another option.
