The screened back porch provides a peaceful view of the shaded pool oasis. With comfortable lounge chairs, this unique outdoor space will quickly become a family favorite for hours of relaxation.

Inside, the open living area is both stunning and spacious. The well-equipped kitchen features seating for four, while the dining table accommodates six. The living room includes a twin chair pull-out and a large TV, perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach.

Towards the back of the home, you'll find two primary bedrooms with king-sized beds, TVs, and private baths. Both rooms have direct access to the back porch, offering a lovely view of the pool.

Private,spacious house, near to beach and Seaside amenities. Very nice screened front and back porch with pool and landscaped back yard gave the family lots of places to spread out. The bikes made getting around very easy even to the grocery store was less than a mile. Would definitely stay there again.

A great experience. The house is exactly as described/pictured. Very clean and well appointed, everything we needed for our stay. The bikes were a nice benefit for some who preferred not to walk to the beach, which is pretty close by. The pool was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Cool house, great location for beach access and close to Seaside/Watercolor. House is on a dead end street so very little traffic, quiet spot. 5 minute bike ride to public beach access. 5 minute bike ride to Seaside. Maybe a 10 minute bike ride to the grocery store. 2 bedrooms overlook the pool/patio area. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything except seasonings. We enjoyed our stay and would come here again.

Short beach getaway

Overall cleanliness of the property was good, neighborhood and closeness to the beach was excellent. Kitchen was very well stocked. Only complaint was that the fans in bedrooms need to be updated.

Great trip and location!

We had a great stay! The ocean was rough during our trip, so we were glad to have such a cozy home base. The beds are Super comfortable! Love all of the natural lighting. I wish the pool pump ran more often because the pool got murky by the end of our trip. The pump didn't seem to run very often? One suggestion would be to add a few privacy light filters in the top bedroom windows, as the taller houses on the back and side can see directly into these areas. Loved sitting on the porches and the open living space! The property manager was very responsive.

Good spot

The location was great- everything was super clean and convenient. I loved the screened in porch that basically wrapped all the way around the house. It wasn’t the nicest place we have stayed but I would stay there again. Great price too

A great week

We had a great week at Special Purpose. We encountered a few hiccups that Oversee dealt with promptly. As I noted in last year's review it would be very helpful to be provided with some instructions for the TVs!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent house for a family of 4 with your own private pool and set up. The house is beautiful, several screened in porches, bikes, TV options, and all the dishes you need. It’s a 2 min bike ride to the beach (San Juan). Use Santa Clara Beach for more parking options which is 1 block from San Juan Beach.

Hidden Gem - 5 stars!

So don’t let the limited reviews fool you! We were thrilled by our experience. Upon pulling up you see just how easily accessible the beach is, the neighborhood was safe and friendly, and the home design and landscaping made us feel completely submerged in our destination. When we entered the home, my mother and I could have jumped for joy at how big the place was in comparison to the photos. Also, anyone from the South can attest to this, but the air temperature was so cool and we didn’t have to mess with it once. We were able to Publix and DoorDash anything we neeeded quickly and easily to this location. Checkin and checkout easy. To lock the doors you lift the handle up- that may be something owners want to add in future, if they haven’t already. The pool was great, loved the patio where we read and journaled. Took a ton of great photos just at the place. A fabulous time and this was our 4th time to stay in this area.

Almost perfect

We enjoy staying at Special Purpose with this being our 2nd time to rent this property. As noted in the title of this review it was "almost perfect"! The items that could have made it perfect were: 1. Find a different cleaner to clean the house. The odor from the cleaning solution used was overpowering when we entered. 2. A few simple instructions on how to unlock and lock the front door would be great. Keyless entries with not having to fuss with a key are good but if you haven't used it before you are flying blind! 3. The property manager was great and very responsive to our inquiries and requests. The biggest issue we encountered were the bikes that were to be used by the guests. We were told the property came with 2 bikes. Guess what there were 4 and only one operational, 2 w/almost flat tires and 1 with the crank sitting on the ground. Kind of a bust! The response we received was there are only 2 bikes at the property. Yep we can count! The property manager sent someone to repair the unusable bike with the repair lasting for one short ride to the beach. Had to call them again and finally it got fixed. 4. Maybe it's a function of Covid but the rental homes seem to be void of any essentials for cooking beyond pots and pans. No seasonings, foil, etc. Luckily, we finally found the coffee filters buried in a drawer. We do enjoy this property but a few, small items would go a long way to make it great!

At Oversee we like to make sure our guests are staying in a clean environment, we do appreciate you letting us know the smell is too strong though we will take that into consideration. Our bike company is typically great with resolving bike issues promptly but we do apologize for any delays in fixing your bike. This property does only come with 2 bikes. Oversee does only include a starter pack for our guests which is listed in all of our guest portals for our guests to see before arrival so they can prepare. We are so glad you did still enjoy your stay and we really hope to have you stay with Oversee again next year!
