Perfect for two! This Pretty villa with an Awesome View of the Gulf! A3411B

In response to Covid 19, we are leaving 24 hours between reservations, cleaning with approved antibacterial products and doing an additional sanitizing inspection. Stay at Palm Island Resort, located on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast, is the state’s only true-out island resort. No bridges or causeways to the island exsist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills at each pool area. 11 hard tennis courts available for play and always complimentary. Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas. Our full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters. Be sure to catch a Pirate Show with the resort’s own Red Beard the Pirate. Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

My wife and I returned energized and relaxed. We had a fantastic time. The place is a hidden gym. Management was very attentive but laid back. The beaches are pristine, untouched nature. Marina next door where you can rent a boat. Phenomenal get away destination. We will be back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The unit we stayed in unfortunately was very dated and needs a serious uplift! The bed reminded me of Fred Flintstones concrete slab bed. The actual experience of being on the island was really cool! However if you’re looking for a lot of fun things to do, there really isn’t much going on on the island. There is one restaurant which is really good actually, but that’s the only place you can really go to eat. Make sure you bring all the groceries you need because the store is extremely expensive, however the staff are very friendly and accommodating there as well.

Our 4 days was spent walking, and shelling the beaches. We rent a golf cart in order to visit the entire island. This last visit was our third time there. I can’t wait to go again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This island is absolutely gorgeous from the views to the dauphin that played in front of us on the beach for over an hour. The only down fall to this resort is there is only one restaurant on the island. So you have to take the fair and then a 20-30 minute ride to find more restaurants.

Two extremes

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, except the roads were badly ignored with many potholes and standing water depressions. They need some fill and grading. 2. All staff were delightful and helpful. Melissa and Lisa in the office deserve special kudos. 3. Our unit needed a lot of work...everything needs painting, many electrical switches and receptacles were broken or cracked, cookware was cheap and in poor shape, porch screens needed repair, shower lightbulb burned out, furniture beat up and dirty especially recliner, tile floor hadn’t been mopped in a while, carpet needed cleaning (note, the dirt road material sticks to shoes and tracks in a lot), minimal linens, towels. 4. In short, nice resort, sketchy unit. 5. This would be a great place if the unit itself was kept up

It was the best vacation I ever had, so I thought let’s go again. Not much has changed, beautiful beaches, Gulf of Mexico, relaxation at its best. If you like the sun ,sand, and pools, this is the place to go. Restaurant is very affordable, the villas are comfortable and clean. Can’t wait to go again!

Two Night Get-away!

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I were in need of a break from work, home life, pet care, etc. We have been to Palm Island last year and knew exactly where we needed to go again for a much needed get-away trip. We live just an hour north, but once we go across on the car ferry, ride our bikes to the lovely villa and settle in.....we feel like we are somewhere "way far away"!! Breakfast on the porch overlooking the Gulf is my favorite part. Palm Island is such a serene, relaxing place. We will be back!

My favorite place to be dampered by Mother Nature via red tide!

Reviewer Comments: I have been visiting this resort for 25 years and my ideal place to be if I have free time is here. It is so relaxing and beautiful. However, I thought nothing could ruin my shelling & shark toothing but I stand corrected. Red tide visited our tiny island and caused everyone to cough while killing fish (hundreds of them) and leaving them on the beach to boil in the hot sun. I know there is no way to predict or stop this occurrence and I have lived in FL for 36 years and never experienced this. So unfortunate and by the time I am writing this the red tide is probably gone and hopefully the beach back to its beautiful self. I cannot wait to get here again and replace this last visit with another wonderful one. Palm Island is truly a quiet, beautiful, relaxing place to visit and I hope you get to visit there soon!

We could look beyond the few broken knobs inour kitchen however, the one bedroom was in pretty bad shape. The carpet was dirty/stained. The bed was not comfortable at all. The mattress pad was worn and lumpy all over. The bedskit was torn and shoved under the mattress. The blanket had holes and we were not convinced it was clean. The bedspreak was gross! Didn't sleep much the first night. The resort grounds were very nice and we enjoyed the pool & beaches. Mentioned the bedroom when we checked out and were told it was a "Premium Room". New bedding and perhaps a quality mattress pad would have made all the difference for us.

I had a 3 bedroom villa the first time but this time I was alone visiting friends who live on the island so I got a one bed. When I made the reservation I saw a few one beds available. I called because I wanted to make sure I got one on the top floor. I booked the only one available on the top floor and paid my deposit. When I arrived I was in a dark one bed on the first floor. I called and they said the top floor one was "under maintenance". They could move me my 2nd night but I was only there 2 nights. If I stayed they said they would give me a discount. I stayed even though it was very noisy. I have not seen the discount yet. I love the resort but the first floor was way too noisy with people and kids running up and down the stairs and playing in the backyard
