This lakefront property has a lot to offer! We are the perfect spot for your family weekend getaway, fishing trip with your buddies, or your week-long summer vacation. This property is within walking distance to Mack's Marina, the only full-service marina with a bar and restaurant (The Cross-Eyed Bear) on the water. They also offer pontoon rentals to complete your lake stay! Please visit macksmarina.com to reserve your pontoon.

This property has 3 bedrooms, 2 queen and 1 full size beds, 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room with a Roku TV and short walk down the back yard to a new single covered boat dock with additional boat parking available!

We have a 6-person hot tub on the back patio and a fire pit in the back yard. (Firewood is available) Perfect for roasting hotdogs and making s'mores!

Kayaking is allowed, however we do not provide kayaks. If you like to swim, you can enjoy the 10ft deep water right off our dock.

We are in the heart of wine country with plenty of wineries to visit along the Shawnee Wine Trail. You can enjoy hiking, fishing, zip lining and so much more, all nearby!

We are also one of the few properties available to rent on the north side of the lake. That means that we have the best access to interstate 57 (4 minutes) and 10 minutes to downtown Marion. We are also 2 minutes from a Dollar General. Making it easy to grab anything extra that you might need for your stay.

This is our favorite property on the lake. Barely any steps to the lake and ladder on the dock to be able to swim right off the dock. We've been coming here for years and enjoy seeing the changes they've made. Enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board this time, can't wait to come back!

Our group didnā€™t get to use this house actually. Owner had contacted us about having to move us because of the recent tornado, due to another family being displaced. Totally understand. The owner went above and beyond our expectations. He moved us to another property that was much larger and worked out great for our group. They even moved the boat dock in time for our trip. Canā€™t say anything negative about the property owner/manger. Thank you. We will be staying at this property again.

Great

Ours was a very last minute booking, but everything went well. The property manager was great and easy to work with. The house was as advertised. The outside could use a little work/clean up, but I really think it was because we were so last minute. We would definitely stay again. It was nice to be so close to the water and carry out from the marina restaurant was good and handy.

Excellent location

Great location and easy to get to. House had everything we needed for our stay. View is exactly as shown in listing. Outdoor furniture was pretty sunbleached so sitting on chairs was a risk of falling through the seat.

Beautiful lake property

Easy access to lake. Loved the covered dock. Living room furniture comfortable. We have stayed at other homes on the lake of egypt, and we would come back to this one. Was not moldy like some. Restaurant next door has good food. Was a little noisy at night because they had a concert, but was fine with us

Good property

This was a last minute rental for us. We've never stayed at this location in the last four years we've been vacationing at the Lake. But it is definitely in the running for next year. We all had a great time. The house is as described and very close to the water.

Wonderful Location!

This house had everything we needed for a girls weekend on the lake... boat dock, swim dock with ladder (bring rafts), hot tub, and restaurant next door. We will be back!

Served us well

We were visiting family in the area and this home was right down the street. We mainly used it for showers and sleeping. We did not use many of the amenities due to the brief times in the house during our stay. The beds were comfortable and showers had great water pressure! Some of the house looks like itā€™s in need of a bit of repair but none of this got in the way of a nice stay. We had some trouble with entering the property due to an access code problem but it was quickly resolved ā€” and this was 4th of July week so I was really happy to get such a quick reply and resolution to the issue! My only disappointment was the upstairs deck is peeling and pretty run down so we didnā€™t really use it to enjoy the wonderful views of the lake. This is minor in the scheme of things as overall everything was very good.

Fun without frills

We had fun at this location with 2 nice docks - 1 for swimming and 1 for your boat. House is basic, but everything is functional and you have what you need. Hot tub worked fine for us. Convenient to boat launch and restaurant. Kitchen only has basic items. Fire pit is in rough shape.

Lakefront Oasis

Cute house, right on the lake. Came down for college graduation, but seemed to spend more time at the house and lake thank anything else. House had every amenity needed, including a boat dock and electricity. On a whim decided to bring a boat along, and make a short vacation out of the trip. Looking forward to another trip down! Hopefully this house will be available on our next booking!

Awesome weekend on the lake

Location is awesome being right next door to the marina and having a nice dock was a huge plus too. Hot tub was nice. Fishing was a little screwed up due to the huge rain they had a few days before but we still caught several bluegill, crappie, and a few bass. Watersports and swimming was great in this lake. Only complaint about the house is that the bedroom with the sliding glass door stays about 5-10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. One of our days we went to Ferne Clyffe State Park which is an awesome place to check out about 20 minutes away. Overall great trip!

Hidden Gem!

This house is fairly priced compared to most nearby. It's lake front and has two docks, one with a swim ladder and the other is covered. The location is on a quiet cove, but only a few minutes idling away from the main channel. We liked being right nextdoor to Macks Marina for ease of launching and parking at the house dock. Inside the house is tastefully decorated and fully livable. All three bedrooms are on the second floor along with a bathroom. The lower level of the house has a living room, dining, eat in bar, kitchen, laundry and full restroom. We enjoyed sitting outside and grilling while our teens swam. The only thing I would like to see the owners change is the size of the three beds. They're all queens or maybe fulls. The bedrooms are big enough to have kings or add bunks. The teen boys ended up using the floor and a couch because they were too big to share the small beds. I would definitely rent again for my family of six, but we'd bring air mattresses.

Great lakefront lot

The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was heated and ready to go when we arrived. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly. The lakefront lot is very flat all the way down to the water. We would definitely stay here again.

Good House, Poor Communication, Hot tub not working

Overall house was great but i cant give the property a great review bc of poor communication of owner and his apparent lack of care when we had an issue. I had contacted the owner before booking to make sure the hot tub was working, after reading some reviews that they had issues. I would be paying $300 more for the weekend to stay in his house vs a very similar one on the same lake d/t this one having a hot tub(as that was important to us). He said it was. He even sent me a message the day we were checking in saying that the hot tub would be ready for us on arrival. When we got there, it was not hot. We were disappointed after wanting to get in after a long day of hiking. My husband followed the electrical conduit and realized the breaker had flipped so he flipped it back, which turned it back on but it didnt heat up until the next evening. I notified the owner that it was in fact not hot, and he literally never replied to my message. Not even an apology. Honestly, we thought he should refund some of our money but would have been happy with even a simple apology. Nothing!

Amazing house!!!!

We stayed the weekend of October 21st and lucked out totally with super warm weather for our group of 4 celebrating birthdays. We really enjoyed fishing off the dock and hanging out by the fire. The house was SUPER clean! We ordered takeout from the Mexican restaurant that was walking distance next door at the marina, and it was very good food with large portions. Enjoyed the wine trail that was super close to the house too. Overall, we all give thumbs up and can't wait to come back.
