Welcome to Sol e Mare!! Means Sun and Sea in latin. This beach house (3 min walk from the ocean) on the Outer Banks is sun filled with many amenities for your enjoyment. Find the sun and sea theme design throughout the beach house to convey a relaxing fun vibe. This house is perfectly located on a quiet cul de sac with ocean views, sounds and all the rest of your senses fulfilled. Hatteras island is one of the best places for star gazing. Guests have raved about relaxing and creating memorable vacations here!! Note: Service/support dogs need to be disclosed prior to arrival.

HOUSE RULES:
Booking guest must be 25 and one of the check in guest.
- No Parties
- 4 Vehicle Max on driveway only (no RV's/trailers or parking on grass)
- Absolutely no fires inside or out (including candles) No bbq grills on decks, near house or pool area.
- Pool and hot tub to be used at your own risk.
- No glass in the pool or hot tub area.
If you break our no smoking or bring more guests than stated in your reservation details you will be evicted with no refund and have to pay for extra cleaning services.
Dogs are allowed if pre-disclosed and a non-refundable $125 fee per dog is paid. We allow up to 2 dogs, up to 50 lbs. each. Dog poop clean-up is your responsibility. Please clean all dog poop from the yard prior to check-out
. - If dog poop is found in the yard there will be an additional $250 charge for dog poop removal.
- Dogs are not permitted on beds or furniture. It is VERY difficult to get dog hair out of linens and blankets. - If dog hair is found on linens and blankets there will be an additional $250 charge for hair removal. Smoking only allowed outside with proper disposal. Please do not throw on property. Renter is responsible for any and all damages.
-There are no refunds for storms, hurricanes or any type of closure, illness or circumstances. Purchasing traveler insurance is highly encouraged to protect your investment
. Every 30 minutes of late departure incurs a $100 fee. Time is needed to prepare the rental for our next guest as we cared for yours.
North Carolina Vacation Rental Act requires booking guest to sign the rental agreement.

Location was peaceful and beautiful. The beach house was better thanI expected. We had so much fun at the beach, pool, hot tub, on the decks, grilling out and shooting pool. The owners were always available if I had a question and were very polite, helpful and kind. I rolled the dice when I booked the beach house because of being during storm season, but we lucked out and every day was beautiful. Even if it rained all week, I know we would’ve had an amazing time. This VRBO had it all! Here’s some helpful hints for the next people… Food Lion is about 20 minutes south, there is a Dollar General and market less than two minutes away. Stay on the path if you walk to the beach or wear shoes until you get to the sand dunes, there’s little spiky balls that will get stuck in your foot. Thank you, Thomas and Christine for having Rhonda and I stay in your home and allowing us to have the best vacation ever!!!!

Sole e Mare - Perfect Family Getaway in Quiet Salvo with Great Pool and Beach Access

We had a great stay at this rental in Salvo, OBX. The house was clean, functional, and comfortably accommodated our group of eight adults and two infants. The private pool was a huge plus—especially with the babies—as it gave us a convenient and safe place to cool off without having to pack everything up for the beach. The location was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Beach access was easy, though be prepared for a bit of a climb over the dunes.The property was exactly as advertised, and we had everything we needed during our stay. Tom and Christine were excellent hosts—very responsive and easy to reach whenever we had a question. Their communication made check-in and the overall experience smooth and stress-free. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would gladly recommend it to other families looking for a comfortable, well-managed rental in the Outer Banks.

Great Stay With Family

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was the perfect size for 4 adults and 6 kids. The amenities, including the pool, pool table, games, laundry and beach items were great. Owners were communicative, responsive and helpful. Check-in was a breeze.

Amazing host & perfect location!

First family trip to OBX and we loved every second of it! The hosts are extremely responsive and made it easy to check in and know what to expect. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The pool and pool table were game changers with our kids! The beach is super close and not too crowded. We highly recommend this home!

Great host, quiet neighborhood!

The hosts, Thomas and Christine could not have been quicker on the response time to our questions. Their house is located in very quiet neighborhood that is close to the beach. If you are looking to get away from it all this would be a great place for you and the family.

Loved Sol e Mare!

Our vacation at Sol e Mare was fantastic. The property was very clean, spacious, bright, and easy to settle into for a week. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the private hot tub/pool area, the views from the decks, and the short walk to the beach. We appreciated the owners' responsiveness and ease of communication. We highly recommend Sol e Mare!

Great vacation

The property was more than we expected, my family and I had a great time. The views from the decks were awesome, the location to the beach access was perfect. The layout of the house was great we loved the fact that mom and dad had the top floor, the kids got the first floor. The pool was refreshing after a long day on the beach. The yard was perfect to walk the dogs. Just all around a wonderful property.

Oasis near the Beach

A fun, unique property in a quiet yet lively neighborhood. We loved the property itself, great for lazy days floating in the pool or sitting in the jacuzzi. The decks are a peaceful place to hang out, enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail with tranquil views. The kitchen is well-equipped with utensils and appliances. While could have easily just stayed home at the property all week, there are many excursions too good to pass up. The ocean beach is a short hike away, flat and sandy for miles and miles. If the ocean is too rough, there are beaches on the sound (calmer side of the island) not too far away. We had a great time exploring up and down the coast, getting ice cream at Village Conery (two blocks away), hanging out at Waterman's, and visiting Roanoke Island for great shopping and history. If you're wanting to visit the Outer Banks, this is the place to stay.

Birthday getaway

We had an amazing stay here. The property was beautiful and peaceful. The private pool and hot tub were definitely worth it they are bith very nice. Communication was always quick and what was expected was very clear. We will surely consider staying here again. The extremely large decks with seating are a great add, morning coffee was so much better with the views from this home! We have absolutely no complaints about the accommodations and our stay! Hope to be back next year!!

Perfect beach retreat!

Well maintained and appointed, the owners have made sure you and your family are comfortable in their roomy and bright property. Just steps away from the beach, but also wonderfully private pool and spa area. Coffee on the upper deck watching the sunrise is a daily highlight! Exceptional communication with the host addresses any questions before they arise. I would absolutely recommend!

Its all and more!

This property is amazing! Loved every minute we were there. Everything provided from towels to linens ,washer dryer, pool , hot tub and the views are amazing. My favorite thing that happened was communicating with the owners Tom and Christine. They really do fulfill all wishes there including getting me a beach wheel chair brought to the house for my mother who is 95. My 5 star rating is richly deserved!

Family Vacation

We had a fantastic week at this house. Host was quick to respond, house was clean, and the pool and hot tub were amazing! The ocean was rough so we spent a lot of time in the pool. Definitely a place we will be coming back to!

We are from a quiet lake neighborhood in the woods and love the Salvo area by the sea for the same reason of its beautiful surroundings and peaceful vibe. Can really hone in and feel all your senses come alive. The location is perfect, close to the ocean and sound, ice cream shop, and the water sports/ bike rental shop is walking distance also. People say hi, wave and smile giving that small town feeling. We enjoy the beach and water sports and if you do also, you will love it that much more.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We offer flexible check in days. (Most property managed homes have Saturday check in only) Pool with Deep side 5 feet with no diving (most pools are only 4 feet due to water table). Courtesy starter kit of essentials: Fresh bath, hand, wash and dish towels, hand soap, dish soap, paper towel roll, sponge, 2 dishwasher and laundry pods, toilet paper roll for each bathroom, salt & pepper and coffee k cups.
