About this space:
Steps from the water, this modern coastal home is a great place to unwind. The private street has its own beach, and the town beach is a 5 minute walk by some great local seafood. Open up the windows in the enclosed porch and enjoy the sound of the ocean. Outdoor shower and private patio area in back, and 2 parking spaces in front. 10+ guests, 2 queen beds, 1 twin room, and a double/twin bunk bed setup. Chefs kitchen, dishwasher + washer/dryer. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets! <15min to New Haven

A quiet street in a small community, many surrounding families have been here for generations. It is a close knit and very safe area. Unbelievable sunrises/sunsets from the streets’ private beach. You will often be the only one on the beach at the end of the street, comb the beach for beautiful sea glass. Close to New Haven restaurants (Wooster St!), easy access to I91 & I95. Note: Check in is at 3:00/Checkout is at 11:00 - we are flexible with this (depending on other reservations) so please reach out with any questions or requests😊

Very welcoming host. Michael was very responsive and helpful when we needed anything. The house was perfect for us when visiting family in the area. We had everyone come over to gather for dinners. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Great property!

We had a great stay! The neighborhood is very charming, with a few restaurants within walking distance. We also enjoyed our walk to the playground nearby and to the beach. The property was clean and communication with the owner was easy! We would return.

Amazing property and location

Michael is a great host. Easy to reach, quick to offer help and advice. The house is large enough for two families with teenagers. Location is amazing, private access to water and local beach within 5 minute walk. Lots of sites to visit nearby. Feels like staying in a boutique hotel. Fashionable design, clean, kitchen area is huge and great for entertaining. Parking for 2 cars. Neighborhood is very friendly! Would recommend to all!

Just What We Needed

We were extended family coming in from different places for a funeral/celebration and really wanted to be together and have a proper kitchen vs separate hotel rooms. Our plans changed slightly after the original booking and Michael was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We were out of the house most of the day each day and the house was "cozy" for our group but excellent and very fairly priced. The layout of the house, driveway, nearby water/beach access was exactly as described. The # of beds were also accurate (though one room had two twins, not bunks - which was fine), though creativity/air mattress is required to get to the "sleeps 10." I knew that going in based on the description and knew our group could roll with it given all the other excellent features. Would definitely recommend this to others! Unless you're booking when I want to come back, hahaha.

East ahaven

The back yard is not what I expected. Lawn furniture was not good. The outdoor shower did not work. We had a few problems with the AC but figured it out. Bring your own stuff: ran out of toilet paper, garbage bags, room for trash outside. Inside is very clean.

Updated, large beachhouse

I loved staying this past week 7/11-7/18/24 at this VRBO newly listed property! Book early. I grew up in this beach area and needed an overflow house for me and visiting family members. I have stayed at 4 other nearby properties and this was the very best and fairly priced: large kitchen-dining-living room gathering space, updated with modern big tv screens and new appliances, air-con units in every room, a surplus of towels, 2 full modernized baths, steps to the beach, easy walks to 2 great restaurants, a kids’ water park and town beach with playground. We went to all. But the Best thing was how the owner, Michael, immediately accommodated my specific family needs. Obviously each rental group is different and Michael provided what we needed and stayed in touch that we were completely satisfied. Suzanne Cross

Beautiful rental in a peaceful area right by the beach!

This house was gorgeously done and so clean. There was plenty of space for our large group! There were plenty of towels (and beach towels), a spacious kitchen stocked with dishes, and lots of seating inside and out for relaxing. While the front drive connects to a beach that you can relax on and enjoy the view, we also took the 8 minute walk to a public beach with a playground. Our kids loved playing and eating the ice cream from Sandpipers across the street from the playground. We had no issues with wifi, hot water for our large group, or heating and cooling. The owner offered to help if we did have any issues! The washer/dryer were simple to use as well. The neighborhood was calm and relaxing. It felt like we were in a residential area, not very touristy at all. The restaurant across the street from hideaway 22 was also great and the staff were amazing!
