'Bayside Hideaway' Jamaica Beach Canal, Sleeps 8, 3 BR-3 Full Bath

Our home is located on the West End of Galveston in Jamaica Beach, 11 miles from 61st street in Galveston.

The house has three bedrooms and three full baths. Two bed rooms have queen beds and third has bunk beds with double on bottom, twin on top and a pull out twin trundle bed. Linens and towels are provided. Washer and dryer are located downstairs. Flat screen HD television in the living room with DVD player. We also offer a selection of board games, puzzles and a backgammon game. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, Mr. Coffee maker and Keurig K Cup coffee machine. Wireless high speed internet.

Downstairs there is a hammock for you to kick back on and enjoy the breeze that blows under the house. We have 1 single person kayak and a 4 person peddle boat for your use at your own risk. Upstairs there is plenty of shade for you to enjoy dinner on the deck if you like.

The fishing at night off the large dock is very good as the green overhead spot light attract bait fish which attract bigger fish for you to catch. Trout and redfish are usually feeding nightly. You need to bring your own rod and reel for fishing. Crab traps are available for your use . Boat lift available for boats 22' and under.

Jamaica Beach playground, pool and beach are a short ride or walk for you to enjoy.

The host was great, always able to get in touch with him. He made the check in process easy. The beach house was just what we were looking for. Very roomy, well stocked kitchen. Everything needed to cook with was available. Coffee pots, either one cup or twelve cup pots were available. Bedrooms were roomy, beds were comfortable, master bath was quite a nice size. The deck was huge and the outside space under the house was very welcoming with a sitting area and lawn furniture. I was very impressed with this beach house and would definitely rent it again.

This was a last minute property for us. We literally booked this six days before our vacation. The property had to cancel on us, do to repairs. The house was in communication with us to make sure we were comfortable. Which was nice. I’ve never had that happen at any other property. Lots of outside spaces downstairs. Since we do spend most of our vacation fishing. It was very comfortable very cool it wasn’t hot. The boys enjoyed the paddle boat! Plenty of room throughout the house for everybody to be comfortable and not on top of each other.

Very clean. Has everything we needed in the kitchen. A 4 person, i think, paddle boat and single kayak. 4 crabbing cages.Very comfy beds. location wise, very easy to kayak to the state park. Overall, a great stay.

Owner stayed on top of things during stay to make sure all was going as described. Had small issue with bathroom sink draining and he got plumber out pronto to clear the clog. 8 grown men and plenty of room for us to spread out. It was a great week!

We loved our stay here, we only wish we would of stayed longer. House was on the canals we parked our boat at the dock and the bay was less than a minute around the corner. The boat dock with the green light was great to fish from. The area below the house was a great place to hang out with chairs and hammocks in the shade. Inside there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. I would definitly recommend this house. The host was quick to respond and friendly to talk to.

Great Spot in Jamaica Beach

Great summer weekend getaway

We had an excellent weekend stay at the Bayside Hideaway. Brent provided great communication throughout our visit, and we had everything that we needed. Our kids had a blast fishing right in the canal. We will definitely be back!

Great Place

This was a great place for our quick family getaway. Brent was more than accommodating and the house had everything that we needed. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan on coming to Galveston.

Very nice stay

We had a good time, played board games, fished, did some crabbing, and went into Houston on occasion for additional restaurant choices.Check in was a breeze, and the owner was very responsive to ensure our stay was easy.If I would change one thing, it would be to refresh the spices. Just salt, pepper, and garlic powder would be all that you'd need there.

Amazing weekend get away

We really enjoyed our weekend here! Perfect space for the family and in laws with two small children. The owner is extremely responsive and kind and we will absolutely be booking here again! Very close to state park and great fishing from the back dock.

Business and fishing

Had a wonderful time at this particular property. The owner met us when we checked in and everything was perfect. There's plenty of room, a dock with great fishing and comfortable beds. We will be back.

Spring vacation

The place is nice and clean. There’s a lot of croakers to catch if you use an Aberdeen size 6 or 8 hook with cut shrimp and cast between the middle and right side. There’s also an occasional catfish. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch any red drum or crab.

Great Family Thanksgiving

Brent was an amazing host. He communicated with us from the beginning and addressed all (only) minor issues that arose quickly. House was well furnished as described and comfortable even for a large family of six. Great location to all the local spots. We will definitely keep this rental in mind if available.

Simply Amazing

This was the best. Brent has the best communication and is wonderful. I would recommend this house to anyone. Great for fishing, kayak and paddle boat. 4 minute drive to Jamaica Beach. We had a great time and will come back next year!

Fantastic Getaway

What a great stay we had at the Bayside Hideaway. Brent, the host, was very kind, responsive and generous. He even made a special trip out to make sure we had all that we needed. He went above and beyond our expectations. What a nice host. The rooms were great for the 4 of us, beds were very comfortable and the sofa was fantastic. Everything you need in the kitchen, and barbecue areas and then some for a super time.What fun we had in the paddle boat and kayak! We would definitely go back and highly recommend it.

Fishing fun

My family and I enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! The boat dock was wonderful. We had a great time fishing in the evenings and the location of the home was perfect to head to the beach. I highly recommend this property.

This property is perfect for the people who want the beach or want easy access to west bay and great fishing. You can be in west bay in less than 1 minute either by kayak or boat from this prime location. Beach is 1 mile away with automobile access that's right you can drive on the beach!

Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Long walk or short ride to the beach. Galveston 11 miles away for shops and great resturants.
Great fishing from your own dock. Easy access to west bay!!
