Dirty, worn, and in need of repairs and replacements

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Hot tub had not been serviced prior to our arrival as stated on tub info in house. Water was low with floating brown slime and brown ring around. Decrepid control panel. Could not use our first day and had to call for service. Got cleaned, but then the control panel would not work and we had to call service again and they replaced the panel. They said that the tub should have been replaced years ago. Also, on arrival, dirty carpets, very dusty main bedroom. Main bathroom whirlpool tub had visible black mold growing around all four jets. Shower head had black mold growing through all the holes. Had to purchase mold cleaner and soak all before use. Living room is missing a blind in the big picture window, so we had no privacy at night from the walking path and street which are very close. Had to tack up a spare hideabed sheet for privacy. Toaster barely works in only half the slots. The barbecue grate bottoms have rotted out and only two burners will light at one time. Carpet nails have popped through near the kitchen, so a flimsy trip-hazard rug has been lain over. Cable TV was spotty and many channels would not get sound. Cable box in first bedroom near the door would not work. Called cable company listed and they could not get it to work remotely. Sunset Lodging really dropped the ball on inspection and training cleaning staff. No staff reached out during our stay to see how our visit was going. Owners need to improve upkeep.
