Gulf breezes welcome you from the spacious porches and balconies of this charming Florida cottage on the beach side of Hwy 30-A. Take the one minute walk to beautiful Blue Mountain Beach or enjoy the sparkling private pool under the palms in your own secluded backyard.

Come home to your own cozy but roomy cottage fully equipped to be your home away from home in a tranquil setting near world class restaurants, shopping, golf and amusement parks. Choose from a variety of dining experiences available locally or stay in your suit and throw something on the grill in your own backyard and dine poolside. "Cooking in" is always an option in the fully equipped kitchen with dining area for eight and bar seating for two.

Palm cottage invites you to relax. With the beautiful beach less than a block away there's always something to do. Whether its playing in the waves, building sandcastles or going for a walk this stretch of uncrowded white sand and turquoise water beckon you. Check out the closet on the side porch for sand buckets, shovels, a kite and folding chairs. Come home in time to catch the ice cream man as he goes down the street or for cocktails on the balcony outside the master bedroom.

We booked this place entirely for the location- everything you could ever want in Blue Mountain was walkable! Todd was great to work with and the house had everything we needed.

Great Beach House!

We loved staying here with friends and family. It is a 1 minute walk from the beach and has a lovely pool that we enjoyed lounging in throughout the day. The owner, Todd, is easy to reach and responded to all my questions very quickly! We will probably rent again!

Great house and great location!

Location was absolutely perfect! A very easy walk to the beach, ice cream shop just steps away and many restaurants within walking distance! The house was comfortable and the private pool was so nice and warm! The owner was extremely quick to respond when we had a question regarding the pool. Overall it was a great stay and we’d love to return!

Location Great, Property Needs Work

You couldn't ask for a better location. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. However, the property needs a lot of maintenance before it meets the 9 rating it had when we reserved. Pool furniture was broken, various items were strewn around the pool area, LOTS of fire ants. Blinds were broken, sink sprayer was broken, ice maker didn't work. And the couch smelled musty. The following are not items that reflect on the owner or house, just things you might want to know: the beach at the beach entry is hemmed in by 2 private beach spaces making it VERY crowded. We didn't realize until the second to last day that we could go east of the private area and there was lots of space. And if you are on T-Mobile, you get better reception on the beach than you do in the house.It was clean. And easy to contact to owner. Beds were comfortable, parking was great.The property had a 9 rating when we reserved, that was overstated.

I have been to many beaches in Florida, This to me is by far the prettiest. This beach cottage is absolutely adorable with such a beautiful in ground pool. The owner Todd was very kind and responsive to anything that we may have needed. Overall very nice stay! We will most definitely come back!

Great vacation

This was our first time to stay in a beach house as a family. The house was beautiful and easily sleeped all nine of us (6 adults 3 kids). The pool was a huge hit and we spent a lot of time in the kitchen! The owner is amazing to deal with. We even left and item behind and he worked quickly to get it back to us. Will definitely recommend!

First trip to Blue Mountain Beach

And we love it! The Palms Cottage was a home away from home. All 6 adults and 3 children had plenty of room. We especially loved resting in the private pool after a hard morning in the waves. We were so close to the beach and the ice cream parlor! I would recommend the Palm cottage and hope to return! Thanks to the owner who was always ready to help!

Excellent location, very close to the beach!

My family really enjoyed their spring break stay at this house. The location was perfect, so close to the beach. The pool was nice and well heated, the kids loved it. The house was within walking distance to a few restaurants and an ice cream shop. The owner was very quick to respond and help with the few hiccups we ran into. Only suggestions would be to provide beach towels and floats for the pool, but those can easily be rented or bought for the stay. Would recommend this stay for anyone wanting a nice beach location with a pool!

Wonderful beach home

Could not ask for a more perfect beach home...I say home instead of house because that is how you feel in this terrific home. Steps to the beach, creamery, and private pool. What more could you ask? Thank you, Todd, for sharing this wonderful blessing and allowing us the use of this beautiful home on such short notice. You are as terrific as your home!

Great Location

Very close to beach access, even though on the main road it sat back off the road with beautiful trees in front so it made it nice sitting on front porch where you could watch all the activity without being noticed. Having a small pool in back yard was also a plus it just needs to be repainted. The house was clean and we had ample room, the only suggestion I could give would be it needs some updating. Todd the owner was extremely helpful on any questions or problems that we had, he was always super quick to answer our texts and immediately took care of any concerns we had Everyone had a wonderful time at this location. I might add that it was an easy walk to some restaurants, gift shops, and the creamery that is famous at Blue Mountain

Palm Cottage

Overall the property is in a fantastic location, only a block from the ocean. The road has fairly high traffic during the day with foot traffic, golf carts and cars… but was quiet at night after 9 pm or so. It is very convenient to the ocean, the bike trail, shopping, and restaurants on 30A. The house itself is a bit dated and needs a good deep cleaning and refresher/remodel. The pool was smaller than nearby properties, but was serviced while we were there and very enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay at Palm Cottage very much. The owner was responsive and accommodating to questions.

Perfect!

This is our 5th or so stay at Palm Cottage and this year we stayed for TWO WEEKS. It was perfect!!! We had our two youngest children with us (13 and 16) and we all enjoyed our stay. The beach was beautiful and the small walk is no bother. The pool is always clean and very cool. We love to go out in late afternoon and read in the shade. Of course, the ice cream shop, three doors down was a favorite. We consider Palm Cottage "our" beach house as it has become a family tradition. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this home.

Summer Getaway

The location of this home was perfect, it is a very short walk to the beach. We had to wait about an hour later to check in because the cleaning lady was still there but it was fine. The house was great but could use a few minor upgrades. The pool could use some updating as well. It’s not bad, just some minor cosmetic upgrades on the floor and wall of the pools would make a huge difference. We would defiantly stay here again. Every time I sent Todd, the owner of the house a message, he responded ASAP. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!!

VERY CLOSE TO BEACH. LOVE THE PRIVATE POOL!

House is close to beach, very easy walk to public access beach. Only 4 houses from the beach! Kids loved the private pool. Native, tropical foliage around pool blocked out any view of neighbors. Pool service came to clean pool during our stay. Blue Mountain Creamery and doughnut shop was a delicious treat. My family enjoyed visiting after dinner several times. Bedrooms are comfortable and nice size. Upstairs bunk bed had no rail, but owner was quick to response and shipped replacement to house. Kitchen is equipped for cooking and has newer appliances. However, if your family is larger and cooks a lot, I would recommend bringing large pots (shrimp boil), baking sheets, and sharp knives. Cookware and utensils in house are sufficient for simpler meals. Owner was professional, organized, and prompt in communications. Overall, I would recommend renting this house and my family looks forward to returning.

Great location but needs updating

The location is great and in close proximity to restaurants, coffee shops, just 200 yards from a public beach access, a 100 yards to 30A, and a straight shot drive to Hwy 98. Communication with the owner was great; access to the house was simple and we got quick responses when needed. Because you are on the main drive to the public beach access, the road can become very busy and crowded. There is a nice, wide sidewalk across the street so you could walk safely to the beach. Unfortunately, it was common for teens to demonstrate how loud their vehicles were while driving down this road so don't expect the quiet and off the beaten path feel you'd get in a more private area. We had to deal with the vacationers in the houses on each side of us staying up past midnight with loud music 3 out of 7 nights. We've dealt with these things at other homes so it's nothing new or unexpected. Our main dissatisfaction was with the shape of the house itself. The best way I can describe it is, it was built and decorated in the 90's and and hasnt been updated since. Some of the walls need patching and painting, replacement of window blinds, old appliances, window and door seals, etc. The paint in the pool and the surrounding perimeter has long worn off and the concrete is as rough as 30 grit sandpaper and just looks dirty. With some TLC of basic items in the common areas, this could be a great home. I'd hope to see some improvements made so we could stay here again and feel more satisfied.

Great proximity to beach and good restaurants. Could use some updates. Just the bare necessities.

Overall, we enjoyed our time at this property the location is an easy walk to the beach, even with a 5 and 2 year old. Just a close but in the opposite direction is a great ice cream shop that our girls enjoyed nearly every evening, and Redfish Tacos, which we visited more than once during our stay. Blue Mountain Bakery is an easy walk or bike ride down the street. My opinion is that Blue Mountain is best for those that want to get away to the beach in a more secluded and natural setting. There’s. It a ton of development around the area, just a handful of strip mall style shops with local bakeries, a bike shop, etc. For those looking for more entertainment, nightlife, and pizzaz, the Watercolor/Seaside/Rosemary Beach area is probably more your speed. Specific to this property, it did look as described. The pool was great for after the beach, and the owner kept the temp at a very comfortable temp without charging a heating fee, which is common in the area. That was much appreciated. The local pool company was lacking, as the pool was consistently dirty during our stay. I finally cleaned it and the skimmer so that our girls would get in. And one day the chemicals were so out of balance the water was green, and we were advised not to get in while the pool was shocked. Unfortunately, the outdoor shower was also not working. It also appeared to only have cold water running to it, as it was tied into the garden hose water supply line. That wasn’t what we expected from the pictures. Finally, inside, there were very few amenities included. I’ve not stayed at any rentals where the expectation was to supply your own hand soap upon arrival as well as your own beach towels (especially when you’re coming to the property due to its proximity to the beach). For those not driving to their vacation, this can be a problem, or an unnecessary expense. Candidly, those elements just degrade the rental experience and make it feel like you’re not getting a good value. The kitchen was supplied with enough to get by, but no extras (such as Tupperware). And our impression was capped off by the visit of a dead or dying cockroach on the kitchen floor or climbing up the walls by the stairs 4 of the nights we were there. Again, the home is in a natural setting, so expected to see some bugs, but not inside that frequently. The owner checked in on us and was engaged, which was appreciated.

Blue Mountain Jungle

My family has visited the Santa Rosa Beach area for the last nine years and have always had a good time. We like the Blue Mountain Beach area so we decided to stay at this propery during out July 2022 vacation. This area is wonderful, but this property has been neglected and is misrepresented in the pictures on the listing. Unfortunately, I am not able to add pictures to show potential renters the current conditions of the property. To start, the owner messaged me with all of the check in information and informed us that we could check in at 3:00. When we arrived at 3:00, the cleaning company was just getting there. They were not finished until 4:15 so we sat in the driveway and waited on them. As we sat there, we quickly realized how overgrown the yard was. The pine straw that is in the pictures has been overtaken by weeds, many of which were knee high. When we finally were able to get into the house, my kids were so excited to go check out the pool. They quickly came back in and told us that it was disgusting. I went out to check it out and they were right. In addition to the dirt that covered the majority of the bottom of the pool, there was also a dead frog floating on the top and a large, dead spider on the bottom. The tall grass and weeds were also present in the back of the property around the pool. The concrete around the pool was very dirty and needed swept or blown off. I messaged the owner right away to let him know about the late check in and the condition of the outside of the property. He told me that there had been some rain down there that may have caused the pool to get dirty. I told him the pools at the houses on both sides of him were crystal clear and asked if he could get someone out there to clean it up. He was able to get someone out there on Monday (regular cleaning day) so we were unable to use the pool for the first two days. The pool company informed me that the pool filter was not working and that he would let the owner know. He turned the filter off before he left and it unfortunately was not fixed during our stay. My boys and myself spent our mornings skimming the pool in hopes of being able to use it. Very disappointing to say the least. The inside of the house was as advertised, but could certainly use a deep cleaning...especially the bathrooms. We love Blue Mountain Beach and will certainly visit again in the future, but not at this rental.

Great stay!

Distance to the beach is amazing!! Owner is great also! Very responsive and had all information to us well ahead of time! There were several storms and bc the property has a lot of trees, the pool had leaves and dirt (expected with weather). Quick message to him and someone was out same day! We had zero issues. And would recommend to anyone! It’s definitely a property that we will be keeping on our list for future visits.
