This is a great property! It was clean, spacious, and great for a large group. The kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in. All of the beds were super comfortable. The owner was very responsive to any questions that I had. I highly recommend this home!

This home hosted us to an amazing Thanksgiving for our family and close friends! There is plenty of room for everyone and the bathrooms were a major plus for a big family! You can’t beat the beautiful views in the dining room! The only thing we could say would be to have the beds made with clean sheets on arrival!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our home! In an effirt to be more environmentally friendly We provide a clean sheet package for each bed- that way only sheets that are opened/used have to be washed. The alternative of making all the beds would require us to wash all the bedding even if only a few beds were slept in. We hope you come again!

Very nice and very new. My kids slept great in these beds. There was plenty for everyone to do, and the most beds I’ve ever seen in a house. Or favorite thing to do was enjoy the fire pit while looking at the stars.

Large Spacious House

Very nice house - new construction, great design and plenty of room to accommodate our group of 24 without feeling cramped. Downstairs game room was great for the children

Beautiful home

Great house for our extended family with lots of activities for all ages. Didn’t realize water level at house was so low, never stayed at lake home with this issue. We do use community pool and lake Anna state park lake. Both were nice

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. The water level will vary depending on what Dominion Power plant is doing at the time (Lake Anna is used to cool Dominion Power Plant). Water is usually have 3-4 ft deep in front of the house with 8 ft deep just a few yards away. We bring our 27 ft jet boat to the house regularly but if your not comfortable with the depth you can always use the community marina less than 2 blocks away (5 min walk). Please come again!

Family Vacation

This is a beautiful and well appointed new construction house with rooms and beds for everyone! We loved family time, especially on the back deck and the dock down by the water. Everything was close and convenient and we enjoyed spending time exploring Mineral. Karlene was fantastic, a great stay all around!

Great House and Community

Our large group enjoyed our stay. Everything is as listed. The location on the lake is more suitable to kayaking and lounging on the dock. Boating, floating, and pool is done through the HOA community dock and poolhouse. Would stay again!

The property was very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. The kids stayed mainly in the basement playing games and watching movie. The water at the dock is only 3 feet deep and a slip was not offered. It worked for us but a larger boat will need somewhere else to dock. The kayaks and paddle boards were a huge hit with the kids. The water was extrememly warm, apparently due to the proximity of the nuclear power plant. There is no water access to the public side of the lake. Our side had much less boat traffic, a definite plus.

Decent House But Watch Out

The house is as-advertised, but be careful as it is on the private side of the lake. The listing says it has a private boat slip, which is fine if you have your own boat. Except if you do not, then you have to drive to the public side of the lake in order to rent one, and spend the day over there. So it leaves a much different overall experience from actually getting a house on the public side of the lake with a dock and you can actually keep the boat at the house for the entire stay.In addition, the house was not cleaned/ready by 4PM as advertised. There was some communication confusion between the host and the cleaners, and they only started cleaning our house at 4 PM and didn't finish until after 7 PM. The host gave me a refund of about 2% of the rental price, which seemed trivial.Finally, guests are required to buy the insurance. I did not think anything about this until after the trip I got an email indicating that the host had exercised the insurance policy. So I messaged the host to inquire, and was told that one of the puck-holding trays on an air hockey table was broken off, and the host sent a picture. I was not aware that our group had even tried to use the air hockey table and the host freely admitted that it might have been another group because in the picture it looked like it had been taped. This sounded fishy, so since they were going to get a new one from the insurance, I "offered" to pick up the broken one, but they declined. Seems fishy.

I sorry to hear that you time at Lake anna wasn't what you expected. I apologize again for the house not being ready when you arrived at 4pm - the cleaners didn't have your reservation on their calendar. I messaged you right away apologizing and offering $100 so you could take the family to ice cream or pizza (5 miles down the road) while they finished making the house perfect for you. I didn't get any reply so I assumed you were content with the resolution. Less than 2 hrs later as promised the cleaners were finished. The listing clearly says that the house is located on the private side/warm side which for most people is a plus - as you don 't have to deal with all the crowds and boat traffic that the public side is infamous for. You CAN rent a boat and trailer it to the private side. All guests have access to our community marina less than 2 blocks from the house for launching and you can park the boat at the house or use the free day slips at the marina. I'm not sure what you mean by fishy. After you checked out the the cleaners inspected the property and found the "pocket" of the air hockey table had been ripped off and was laying on the floor. Wiring was damaged and the machine no longer functions. As is required I filed an insurance claim with VRBO with date stamped pictures. Maybe your group didn't use the game but a child used the pocket as a step - who knows. It was strange that you wanted access to my home so you could pickup the broken one

Wonderful family vacation spot

Our group of 11 adults and 9 children found this property to be great. The games and water amenities were ideal. The water level is shallow, but great for young children. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. Everyone had plenty of space for sleeping. We all enjoyed our vacation.

Our House is wonderful because it is so private and spacious. situated on a wooded 2 acre lot at the end of a quiet inlet. Enjoy not only the lake but all the nature around you. We have a bald eagle that was born last year right near the house and we've been watching him learn to fish!
