The location is fantastic with a nice view of the beach from the screened porch. The host was very prompt in all communications and very welcoming. The property is on the quiet side of the island where there are not hoards of people which makes the beach much less crowded and more enjoyable. And being on the sound rather than the ocean, the shore line has abundant plant life and sea birds of all kinds.

The condo was perfect for our family of 4. The beach which isn’t a swimming beach was easy to access & quiet which we really enjoyed as people who aren’t ocean swimmers but who like being on a beach. We were there over Spring Break & the pool was closed for the season until April 1st which was halfway through the break, so that is something to consider if you are traveling during that time of year. The check in process was easy & the owner responsive. We would definitely recommend the condo to others & hope to visit again soon.

Fantastic stay

I have never been to HHI before and was quite nervous. We had a fantastic stay! When i booked, I didnt realize that the sound wasn't a swimming beach, but thats on me. There are very nice beaches close by and so many things to do on the island! My communication with the property manager was prompt and always helpful! The unit was very nice, clean, and well accomodated.

Cozy condo, great location!

Loved the condo and location! It was perfect for family of 4! Very clean and cozy, comfy beds, well furnished and everything you need for the beach or play tennis. Steps away from the beach and facing the pool. Our host Robbie was very friendly and responsive, we will definitely be back!

Overall great stay, main highlight being right next to beach. Place and stay was pretty accurate with listing and pictures so that was a plus. Couple of negatives, overall cleaning of place, specifically bathrooms/showers are due for a good deep clean. Shower floor didn't really feel clean, and tub shower doesn't drain correctly so was unusable for our stay which is hard with kids. Second, not really on this owner but owner of overall place, but we specifically booked this place because of indoor pool and weather being questionable for our stay. Indoor pool and area didn't seem clean, or even cleaned at all while we were staying there. Not sure of their cleaning schedule but a pool should be cleaned daily. For example, a piece of food was sitting on outside of pool for the 3 days in a row that we used pool, so who knows actual cleanliness of pool. That's not so much on this unit owner but it does affect the overall stay/feel when an included amenity isn't being taken care of. Outside of these couple of issues, place was good and we enjoyed being right by the beach.

Great Views!!

Our family had a great time, and enjoyed our stay at the condo. The views of the sound were amazing, and being able to walk along the shore during low tide was really fun! Not far from Folly Field Beach Park and lots of grocery stores and shops around the area. Also fun watching some planes as the condo is close to the airport. That being said, the area is quiet and tucked back from a lot of the hustle and bustle of the island. Recommend staying here!

Great unit

This is a great unit with a desirable location within the complex. The sound/ocean is visible from the enclosed balcony. The unit had everything needed and the property manager was very responsive.

Family-friendly condo with personal touches

Condo is conveniently located near our family in Hilton Head Plantation. The whole condo is decorated beautifully with gorgeous furniture! We were here to spend Thanksgiving with family, and were pleasantly surprised that kitchen was well-equipped to help with some of the food preparation. Other pleasant touches were family-friendly DVD's, books, and beach toys.

Wonderful property manager!

I had numerous communications with the property manager (owner possibly) - he was very nice and easy to deal with. The property was extremely clean and the housekeeping was very responsive to our request for more towels. The pictures make the unit look a bit bigger than it is. The master bedroom is crowded due to the size of the king bed and the second bedroom is crowded with the two twin beds. There were four of us, but we had a wonderful stay.

Perfect for two

My 17 year old and I loved this place and Will absolutely come again. The little patio was perfect for cloudy afternoons to read, woke up to see the beach out my window, and my teenager had a lot of fun exploring the property and the beach.

Family Vacation

The property is NOT on a swimming beach. Perhaps I missed it, but I thought this was located adjacent to what I would call beach access. It is on what I would call a coastal waterfront. We had to get in the truck and drive to a beach park. Other than that, the property was clean and comfortable. The TVs were not simple and could be challenging for older guests.

The homeowner read your feedback and wanted to provide some clarification:- We make sure to clearly state in the property materials that Port Royal Sound is not considered a swimming beach, as it's more suited for nature walks, beachcombing, and enjoying local wildlife.- Our guests are able to enjoy a full resort facility, which includes three pools (one located directly below our unit), a sauna, hot tub, tennis and basketball courts, a pier, workout equipment, and more.- While we understand the TV setup can be challenging for some, we do provide written instructions, and once we were made aware of the issue, our property manager responded promptly and resolved it.- If guests ever have questions or concerns during their stay, we encourage them to reach out.
