We absolutely loved staying here. Such a beautiful property and in the heart of it all. Highly recommend for the local experience feel and loved the closeness of the river and beaches. Kaua’i is one of my favorite islands of Hawaii and I got to take my wife here to explore for our honeymoon and it didn’t disappoint! We were so close to the ancient sacred heiau which was so special being close to that as well. Thank you so much!

This cute cottage was a great place to stay that is off the beaten path. The river is easily accessible from the house and easy to take the kayaks down to the pier. Having a washer and dryer was really nice after playing all day. When we had any questions, Candace was very quick to get back to us. Highly recommend this cottage!

Loved our long weekend at this riverside cottage. Everything was so beautiful, comfortable and clean. We felt so at home. Use of the kayaks on the river were a real perk. Mahalo!

The kitchenette served all our needs for a week’s stay, laundry was easy, Candace was gracious and accommodating to our needs and requests. We loved our stay at her place. We were out on the river daily, and we felt private although the town is so close. Thank you Candace

This was a very nice place to stay for our visit. The accommodations were great, including a comfortable bed and good wifi. Located on a quiet, dead end street at the riverside, we were able to park immediately below the cottage. The use of a kayak was a treat, as we were able to get to the “secret” falls. The property is centrally located on the island, with nearby shops, restaurants and beaches. Be sure to bring soap and shampoo for the shower.

Great home base for island adventure

Great centralized location to easily access the whole island. The apartment was so cute and was clean and homey. Loved the use of the kayaks to float the river.

Loveable Lodging

This little hideaway sports a feel that makes you want to return. Sure it is a rental that has everything you need and is in a great location but what makes it memorable is it's soul. Books,tasteful decor, good lighting....really a fine place to stay.

Great Kauai Getaway!

We spent 9 nights at the cottage and really enjoyed the space and location. We were close to everything but felt like we were in our own little world. Would definitely recommend to any couple visiting the island!

Cozy Cottage Feel

Communication with Candace was excellent from booking through departure! The stay was as expected with great amenities and location. My husband and I highly recommend this property and would love to return someday!

Wilua Riverside Hideaway

We had a wonderful stay next to the Wailua River! The Riverside hideaway had everything available for a perfect beach day or a paddle down the river. Enjoyed being in a residential area and really leaning into the rhythm of the Island. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect stay near the Wailua River

Great one week stay here. Very cute, well appointed and cozy cottage right near the Wailua River. Beautiful grounds and easy access to surrounding areas. The host is very accessible and accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommended.

Great Location!

The bungalow was in a great location and a perfect spot to have as a home base to explore the island. Air conditioning after a long day in the sun was such an added bonus. They had all the amenities for the beach and river. Highly recommend!!!

Private and Perfect

Candace’s VRBO is exceptional. Quietly away from the bustle of a resort, but right on the river and close to all that Kapa’a has to offer. And Kapa’a is exceptional too, with lots to do locally and all of Kauai close whether you head north or south.

Comfortable

Roomy, comfortable and very nice decor. Well thought out to meet our needs. Especially enjoyed the Lani looking out at the tree tops. Just a short path to the wide smooth river.

Peaceful River Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this River Cottage! The check in process was effortless and the cottage was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed using the Kayaks and paddling to the Fern Grotto & Secret Falls. We loved cooking at the cottage and watching the sunset in the evenings. The neighbors were friendly and we would love to visit again.

The host was very welcoming and very helpful. My husband needed a blanket and Candice laundered one for us. The location was perfect. Kayaks were provided so we used them on the Wailua River which is right by the cottage. There was a washer and dryer available for our use as well. There was a new refridgerator and stove plus a Kuerig and a drip coffeepot with filters. Pots and pans and dishware were provided. The airport is 6 miles away and a grocery store is less then 2 miles. It is the perfect place.
