Unfortunately, this review is misleading and does not reflect the reality of the stay. The guest made a last-minute booking after leaving unrelated rental due to issues, which she said was making her husband and child sick. As a courtesy, we rushed to prepare our home on short notice and informed her in advance that check-in would be later than usual because we typically don’t accept such short check-in requests, however given her circumstances we wanted to help their family. We installed brand new sheets and towels because of the timing, her dirty sheet comment in her review is a complete fabrication. Rather than showing appreciation, the guest repeatedly demanded refunds, discounts, and free nights, despite expressing satisfaction upon arrival and never reporting any issues during the stay. Unfortunately, our experience hosting Barb was very challenging. From the moment she arrived, she seemed unhappy and brought a consistently negative attitude. Despite our property being well-stocked (including two blow dryers for a two-person reservation), she made numerous unreasonable demands—such as requesting four blow dryers and daily housekeeping, which are not part of our listing. She also expressed dissatisfaction with things outside our control, including the weather. More concerning, several pieces of new furniture were damaged during her stay, and rather than taking responsibility, she placed blame on the items themselves. Regrettably, Barb was not a good fit for our property, and we would not be able to host her again in the future.
