One of the closest communities to Walt Disney World (less than 3 miles away), Emerald Island Resort is a quiet oasis in which to spend your vacation. Emerald Island is an exclusive man gated resort community less than a mile from the world-famous US Highway 192 where you will find shops, restaurants, and entertainment.


This luxury villa offers a large private swimming pool and SPA with huge lanai. It provides all the amenities making your stay comfortable like a home away from home. It features a family room with two story high cathedral ceiling and a living room. There are two set of dining tables. Perfect for your big group.

The villa has two master en-suites (one is on the second floor and the other on the first floor) with two king size bed and its own large private bathroom, three additional queen bedrooms, three more guest rooms with twin beds, two roll-away beds, and a queen size sofa sleeper. It comfortably sleeps up to 20 people. It is managed locally so you always have someone to call on in case of a problem.

High speed, wireless internet access, cable TV, free long-distance calls within US are available for your convenience. You can enjoy watching your favorite program on a large screen TV in an open 2-story family room or in your own comfortable bed (LCD TV in each bedroom).

A fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare for a family feast or a quick snack. You and your family can enjoy your meal in the two dining tables seat up to 14 or at pool side patio set under the huge lanai. Baby equipment package including highchair, stroller and portable playpen are free for your use. BBQ Grill rental can be arranged before your arrival with a fee.

The Emerald Island Resort offers an array of complimentary amenities, which are available to guests. The 4,000 square foot club house has a fitness center, volleyball and tennis court, sauna, computer access to the Internet, heated community pool and spa pool, Video games room, together with children’s play area and Tikki Hut, and is the perfect place to get to know other families. The Clubhouse is very near a trail for walking, jogging or biking which winds through the community’s natural woodland setting.

For any golfers in your party the fabulous Mystic Dunes Golf Club is just a few minutes away. There are many other world renown golf courses designed by golf greats within 30 minutes' drive, such as Grand Cypress Golf Club (Jack Nicklaus); Orange County National Golf; Orange Lake Country Club (Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay); Walt Disney World Golf Courses (Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Joeseph L. Lee); Celebration Golf Club (Robert Trent Jones); Champions Gate Golf Resort (Greg Norman) etc.

The place was large enough to sleep all 16 of us and it’s close to all the Disney parks. However, the place was filthy and there was a weird smell. the carpet is worn out and fraying, the oven door broke in half (called Mgmt company and was told it would be taken care of the next day) and it wasn’t. There appears to be a hole in one of the windows, created by a rock thrown from the grass cutters? Pic below. It was nice having a washer/dryer but dryer took forever to dry. The ice maker was frozen solid so was inoperable. Most of the electrical outlets were cracked/broken. There were no batteries in any of the remotes. There were no oven mitts so called Mgmt Company and they provided some. There should be a list of things that are not included (I.e. dish soap, rubber spatula, napkins, paper towels, etc). There were exactly 16 forks. If you have more in your party, you’re waiting to eat. There were ants in 2 of the upstairs bathrooms. I went to use a fry pan and it was greasy, grabbed a 2nd one…the same. Cleaning Company has a lot to be desired. Dust everywhere in all the bedrooms. And rust and dust on every vent cover. If you’ve got any health issues, this is not the place to stay. Pool was great but after 3 days became cloudy and was told the pool people came once a week, the day we were leaving.

Great space. Furniture really needs up dating. One side of sofa was leaning. Pool sticks are cracked. Pool area chairs need updating. But for the price, it was a nice stay. Very convenient bedrooms and enough bathrooms for large families. Nice pool. The kids loved it. Would stay again!

Worst VRBO Emerald Island Stay

I dont even know where to begin. Communication was great up until move in day. We got there, the spa and poolheat did not work the maintenance man came the next day and got the heat working. The spa was never actually fixed . I was however able to go out to the pump and manually do it. The gasket was off and hanging on the freezer. It didn't allow the door to close all the way. The shelves were all broken, the ice would go on the floor when you opened the door. The shelves in the refrigerator were disgusting. We went to use the oven and the glass fell off the door. I was able to fix the oven door. It smelled like mildew,and the upstairs carpets were all water stained. The list goes on, i have pictures and emails to back up everything ive stated above and more. Ive been going to Emerald Island every year in April since 2010. This was my only bad experience there or with vrbo.we ended up leaving early. I could be a great house with some work

Dissapointed on day one

After a 20 hour drive looking forward to use of Jacuzzi ( that was advertised)....we were told the parts would come in a few days during our 10 day stay, it wasnt fixed and we were still charged full price. It needed a good cleaning, dog poop behind couch. Mold in coffee pot. I dont usually give bad ratings, but after i cleaned the place myself we eventually did make the best of our stay. I have to be honest about the review.

Ok house for the money

The price was good, some of the things were dated in the house, but mostly ok. The mattresses need to be replace on all of the beds, there were springs coming through some of them. The biggest problem we had was the hot tub did not work. We paid extra for the heater so we could use the hot tub and it didn't work. We contacted the property manager the evening we got there and let them know. They said we would have to call the maintenance company out the next day. I'm not sure why they didn't call them. The maintenance company said they couldn't get any one to come fix it during our stay. I asked for a refund and received less than half of the money back. Bottom line, probably ok for the price, but do not pay extra for anything that you hope will work.

Great Stay

The house was close enough to all of the theme parks about 15-20 minute drive with traffic to Disney Parks and about 25 to universal. Was a great place to stay for an our family and we had no issues. You do have to pay $20 to park at the resort club house but it was for the entire stay.

Horrible

Where do I start. Soon as you walk in the house. It has a smell to it. It smell like mildew. The carpet upstairs is absolutely filthy. There was only 1 roll of tissue in all the bathrooms. No can opener. The furniture was so old and tore up it’s ridiculous. The televisions in all the rooms were so small it’s like watching a iPad. The living room has no remote to the tv. It was so hot they have the air set on 72 in a big house it was only cool at night. The lights kept flickering off and on. Some of the pillows didn’t even have pillow cases on it. The garage has an old dirty nasty living room set it it. The pool furniture was torn up and old as well. The tubs in the house was so dingy. The internet connection was not connecting. The only thing was clean and clear about this house was the pool. This is the worst house I’ve ever seen. I do not recommend at all.

Uncomfortable stay

There were so many issues with this property. Refrigerator did not work properly. Reported it no one came. We bought materials to clean the coils so they could get air. They were packed solid. Dishwasher didn’t clean. Again reported. Heard nothing. Toilet upstairs broken. We repaired because no one came. Air conditioner didn’t keep property cool Last 2 days temp was 84• in the house Sleeping was difficult in that situation. I took pictures of all these issues and submitted to management and the owner. No response. I also left two voice messages. Also for your information the sub floor in the upstairs bathroom floors are approaching collapse. For the amount I paid, I feel we were seriously overcharged it’s obvious that they knew there was an issue with the dishwasher because there’s a new one sitting in the garage, but it was not reported on the property description. The only thing that was taken care of was the algae on the patio that almost caused one of our family members to fall. A young man did come by sprayed it with bleach hosed it off, but that was the extent of anything being taken care of while we were there.

Family vacation

Getaway

The host were very easy to communicate with and the property was all that we expected. We had plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was well stocked. It is convenient to grocery stores and shopping, as well as the airport and the parks. A GREAT experience.

Very welcoming and peaceful!

This house was perfect for our event! We booked for 3 days wish we had stayed longer! The house was perfect! The pool was great for the teens and little kid’s entertainment. They loved the game room! We didn’t have time to check out the resort amenities! The location was centralized to multiple theme parks shopping and food! Would definitely recommend checking this rental out!

Nice home Ann was quick to reply about anything relating to payment had read her response in reviews relating to repairs or issues to contact while you were there rather than after which I did the maintenance person which was rude and emailed her as well no response at all from her regarding the leaking ceiling in the dining room from the upstairs bathroom bedrooms downstairs left our clothing smelling musky and had to wash them several times first time in all my years of leaving a review I have ever left a negative review

Great house even greater location!!

This house is perfect for a large group. There were more than enough cookware and we found everything else we needed too. I will defiantly book with Gary and Ann again. they were so receptive to all my questions and concerns. The location is amazing. Very close to the parks with an easy route to get there. There was plenty of shopping and restaurants all in a close proximity. Emerald Island is a beautiful resort with tree lined streets and sidewalks too. I will always try to stay at Emerald Island Resort in the future. Thank you Gary and Ann for your hospitality.
