Charming 2024 Award-Winning Home inside the gates of Lakeside!

After many years of renting, I was fortunate to build a home that would serve as a lasting retreat for my children and grandchildren—a place to gather, connect, and create cherished memories. Now, I’m delighted to share that space with you. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully appointed, this sunlit home was honored by the Historical Design Review Board for its distinguished new construction, seamlessly blending timeless charm with modern comfort.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by a classic front porch with a cozy swing, along with a charming enclosed side porch—perfect for leisurely mornings with coffee or quiet evenings in conversation. Step inside to an open-concept layout flooded with natural light and accented by refined finishes. The first-floor primary suite offers a king-sized bed and a private ensuite bath, providing a peaceful retreat. A spacious gourmet kitchen anchors the main living area, featuring an oversized island with seating for four, a dining table for six, and both a drip coffee maker and Keurig with a selection of coffees. Essentials such as paper goods, dish soap, and laundry detergent are provided for your convenience. The main level also includes a half bath and laundry room.

Upstairs, you’ll find two thoughtfully designed bedrooms: one with a queen-sized bed, and another that’s perfect for children, featuring a bunk bed (full mattress on bottom, twin mattress on top), a pull-out trundle, and a daybed. A second full bathroom completes the upper floor, and central air conditioning along with ceiling fans throughout the home ensure year-round comfort. In addition, a travel crib is provided.

A short five-minute stroll from the cottage leads you to pickleball and tennis courts, as well as Lakeside’s new aquatic and wellness center. Beyond the gates, nearby Port Clinton offers ferry access to both Kelleys Island and Put-in-Bay, while Cedar Point Amusement Park and the historic Marblehead Lighthouse are only a brief drive away—ideal for day trips and family adventures.

Additional amenities include a dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, high-speed internet, Smart TV, Pack 'n Play, a curated selection of games, toys, and books, and a gas grill for outdoor dining. On-site parking is available for up to three cars alongside the cottage.

Please note: Lakeside Chautauqua is a gated community from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Gate and vehicle fees are not included in the rental and must be arranged separately. Check-in is available after 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Weekly, Saturday-to-Saturday stays are required from June through August 2025. Outside of the peak summer season, a two-night minimum stay applies.
