A-Frame Retreat near Donner Lake with Hot Tub

Brigadoon Cabin is a charming getaway just a short walk from West End Beach at Donner Lake. Surrounded by skiing, hiking, and other activities, it offers year-round adventure and relaxation along with shopping and dining in nearby downtown Truckee. Designed with upscale finishes while retaining its unique character, Brigadoon Cabin is dog-friendly and includes a private one-bedroom apartment, a spacious den ideal for movie and game nights, and a backyard that opens to Donner Memorial State Park.

The ground level is a heated two-car garage. The driveway can also accommodate two cars.

The second level is a one-bedroom apartment. It includes:
- Full kitchen
- Sitting area with a queen-size sleeper sofa, TV, desk, and chair
- Bedroom with a queen-size bed
- Full bathroom with a shower
- Balcony overlooking Conifer Drive

The third level is a den with comfy seating, a TV, and a game table. Also on this level:
- Full bath with a shower
- Laundry room with a washer and dryer

The fourth level leads you to the original A-Frame part of the cabin. This level features:
- Living room with a TV, record player, and dog bed
- Full kitchen
- Dining table with six chairs
- Bedroom with a queen-size bed
- Bedroom with a twin bed
- Full bathroom with a shower and tub
- Patio with peek views of Donner Lake, a firepit, and a grill
- Deck with 7-person hot tub that leads to the backyard and out into Donner Memorial State Park

The fifth level is accessed by a spiral staircase. This level includes:
- Bedroom with a queen-size bed
- Full bathroom with a shower
- Work station with a desk and chair

Some things to note:
There are five different levels throughout the cabin and the first living space is up a full flight of stairs. Due to the number of stairs, this cabin is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or very young children unless closely supervised.

The property includes two parking spaces in the garage and two spaces in the driveway. Street parking is not allowed year-round for rentals in this area and may result in towing and/or fines.

Severe weather is a possibility in the winter. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected events. Chains or 4WD/AWD vehicles with snow tires may also be required during winter months.

We work with a snow removal service to remove snow from the decks. They may need to access the cabin to get to the decks between the hours of 10am-5pm to clear snow after a storm. We will let you know ahead of time if and when they will need access.

The grill, firepit, and outdoor furniture are seasonal and may not be available during the winter months.

Up to two dogs are welcome with a $100 pet fee per stay.

Please note that like most homes in the Truckee area, our cabin does not have A/C.
