Weekend relax

We had a great stay! It was clean, and all the essentials like towels, toiletries, and kitchen tools were perfect. You can reach the beach in just 60 feet, though the little trail has some overgrown vegetation you have to walk through. Overall everything was perfect, but the interior (bathrooms) could really use some urgent cosmetic TLC.

Thank you, Teresa — 60 feet to the beach is hard to beat, and I'm glad the essentials were all there. Trail vegetation on the dunes is protected, so clearing it can take a while. Quick Family Getaway

We enjoyed staying for the days we were there. The place had a nice charm and all the expected amenities were there. We especially enjoyed the deck and the porch swing overlooking the beach. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable for our family of 5 - 2 adults, a toddler, and 2 kids. The home was very clean. I really appreciated the trees/hedges around the deck that made it feel so private compared to other beach houses. The public beach access is right next door which was so convenient.

Windy and hot but WINDERFUL

The five of us including our daughter and two of our grandchildren (now adults) arrived to a clean, fresh, and cool house. We never touched the thermostat. Everything was in place and ready for use. We spent most our time on the very warm, humid, windy beach. And we loved it. Dinners out at some of the local and wonderful restaurants was nightly. We would fall into bed tired and ready for a comfortable night’s sleep. The beds and pull out sofa satisfied our needs. We awoke each day to coffee on the beautiful deck and porch style swing. A great time was had by all. Thanks for your efforts as all was good.

This is a cozy comfortable beach house in a great location right on the beach. Their outside area is a unique find. Great views of ocean and you feel like your sitting right in beach area on their swing. My family and I have stayed in much larger modern beach houses in other areas and it just doesn’t have the same vacation beach vibes as staying here at folly beach provides. Quick shoutout to folly also the beach there is so nice. When you compare it to the thick layer of gravel you sludge through right as you get into water of the outer banks and the shark activity there folly provides a much nicer safer area for kids to play in water. While risk is minimal try explaining to scared kids that your picking an area where there have been fatal shark attacks vs none like in sc and see where they’d rather swim. I cant keep them out of the nice water and waves outside this beach house. It also provides an authentic feel rather than the golf course new age condo ridden beaches in other local beaches. This house and folly has swag.

Great beach location

The house is right on the beach and convenient for day trips to Charleston. The house itself is not modern or updated, but does provide the essentials needed for a decent stay.

Someplace Else is a classic Folly Beach original, and we try to make that clear in the listing—this home is part of what Folly used to be before the island grew up a bit. It’s not meant to be modern or polished; it’s meant to put you right on the sand in a laid-back, old-Folly setting. That said, it should always be comfortable and well-equipped, and I’m glad to hear you found the essentials in place and enjoyed the beachfront location and easy trips into Charleston. If your next visit calls for something more updated or luxurious, we manage several newer homes on Folly and would be happy to point you in the right direction.

My family and I loved our stay. The location was absolutely perfect with a beautiful view of the beach from the deck and very easy access. There was one minor plumbing issue that was dealt with immediately. Would gladly stay again!

Great quiet weekend getaway

My wife and I just wanted a quiet weekend getaway for our anniversary and this place was perfect. The outside deck and swing were fantastic - perfect spot to just enjoy the ocean.
