The Space:

Welcome to Sugar Sands, a charming and intimate vacation treasure on the shores of beloved Madeira Beach. Sugar Sands offers a peaceful beachside experience with only four condos sharing a private pool and secluded beach. This lovely tropical oasis is just steps from the beautiful beach and laden with exotic and fragrant greenery, tropical huts, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor shower. Sugar Sands B is on the ground floor and offers the easiest of beach vacations!



A unique blend of Florida fishing village, residential community and tourist destination contribute to an original vibe that is Madeira Beach. Mad Beach, as it's affectionately referred to, is that curious mixture of history, progress, and stability which, when paired with the perfect weather of Florida's Gulf Coast, makes for a delightful community. Measuring only two miles long, this small seaside gem draws beach lovers to its pristine white sandy beaches. Madeira Beach is home to John's Pass Village and with six public parks, boat-accessible restaurants, charter boats, and dolphin watch cruises, it has something for everyone. Dog-friendly beaches include Bicentennial Park, Fort Desoto Park, and Boca Ciega Millennium Park.



Find all the comforts of home with a nicely appointed kitchen with breakfast bar and handy sofa bed. This first-floor gem offers a living area and main bedroom open to the pool and deck area for easy access. The main bedroom has plenty of storage to unpack and unwind, and both bedrooms have a TV. Beach towels and beach chairs are available.



THINGS TO KNOW

If you choose to bring a dog, they are not allowed in the pool.

Breeds not allowed: Akita, Australian Blue Heeler, Boxer, Bull Mastiffs, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman, English Bulldog, Great Dane, Husky (any type), Malamute, Mastiff (any variation), Pit Bulls, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, and Wolf-dog Hybrid.



Other Things to Note:

1. Charging the Pet fee per day

2. Limited to one dog in each apartment

3. Guest would be responsible for all damages and clean up after their pets

4. No aggressive breed

This was our second year staying here and we absolutely love it, everything was perfect and the location is a dream. The home has everything you need for a more then comfortable stay. Can't wait to come back next year!

Whether you’re looking for a one-night stay or a longer getaway, traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group, this place is perfect!The location was excellent, the pool was wonderful, and having direct access to the beach right from the back patio made it even better. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. We’ve already started recommending it to family and friends!

Great location. Host very responsive when we asked a question. We were two couples and the other rooms had several small children but between the pool and beach there was plenty of room for us all.

Great location on the beach. Unit has been remodeled. The pool is shared with other units. They could use more chairs on the pool patio and there’s only one table for four in units.

We really enjoyed this little beach apartment! It’s very private and we had the beach mostly to ourselves. The pool and beach truly are right outside the door. The views are amazing, beach chairs and towels provided! The outside shower is great!! So many good restaurants close too. I recommend Conch Republic and Caddy’s- both so good! Kitchen has a full fridge, freezer and enough dishes and utensils to cook also. The living room is small with only 1 couch, so if you have 2 couples, it would be nice to have a small love seat and maybe a smaller table. It was fine for us. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have a baby that needs to crawl- floor and living room rug are older and very used. Didn’t bother us, but we didn’t go barefoot inside either. The only issue we had was the a/c. You aren’t supposed to lower the ac past 75 on the thermostat and that’s fine in the day, but we were too hot at night. We thought maybe opening a window would help, but there are no screens on them so not an option. The bedrooms have ceiling fans that helped some, but we had to purchase a fan to sleep. Not sure if maybe a new unit needs put in, but if we could have lowered the AC, our stay would have been perfect!!

We had an absolutely magical stay and would 100% stay here again when we come back to Florida!Cleanliness: 10/10Bed Comfort: 10/10Location: 10/10You literally cannot beat this location. The rental is right on the beach, and it was SO convenient being able to wake up in the morning, walk right out the back door, and step directly onto the sand. You just walk outside and you’re there. It made enjoying the beach so easy, especially with a little one!Upkeep: 7/10There are some areas that could use a little TLC. The floors are pretty beat up, the living room rug has seen better days, and some of the walls could use touch-ups. That being said, none of this bothered us during our stay. It’s Florida, and with people constantly coming in and out from the beach, we completely understand that floors are going to show some wear and tear.Host Responsiveness: 10/10The hosts were wonderful and incredibly quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We really appreciated how accessible and helpful they were!One thing to be aware of:Pool: The pool could use some additional cleaning and upkeep, and it was not heated. The lack of heat wasn’t a big issue for us because of the Florida weather—it was actually refreshing, and our 4-year-old wasn’t bothered by it at all! Just something to be aware of if a heated pool is important to you.Despite those few minor things, we truly loved our stay! The location, being literally steps from the beach, was absolutely unbeatable.

Amazing Location!

It was great! Just what we were wanting beach vacation with a pool for the kiddos. Definitely staying here again! And the location is perfect walking distance to whatever you need during your stay.

. Very pleased with our stay.

We were very happy with the location right on the beach, and very near grocery and entertainment. We utilized and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, wake boards, beach towels, outdoor shower and the gas grill. Keyless entry and close laundry room were both nice conveniences.
