Get ready for an amazing transformation for the 2025 season! Our bathrooms have been completely remodeled with high-end upgrades, featuring 4.5 stunning baths. Enjoy brand-new toilets, luxurious flooring, elegant mirrors, modern vanities, sleek faucets, and high-performance shower heads in all four bathrooms. Additionally, we've installed chic lighting, stylish towel bars, and fresh paint to create a fresh, inviting atmosphere. Experience the perfect blend of style and functionality!

Love the water? Then make the beautiful Island Creek Resort your home for a week or a lifetime. This semi-private waterfront resort has 16 island-style homes designed for the active beach life.

Set on Avon's pristine north end and accessible only by bridge, Island Creek Resort offers over 1,000 feet of shallow sound-front access. Windsurfers, kite surfers, kayakers, and kids will love this ultra-friendly location, where miles of open Pamlico Sound facilitate launching, fishing, exploring, relaxing, or just horsing around in the water. Please note that the fireplace is not available for guest use.

The boat ramp and docks handle small boats and personal watercraft. Acres of manicured sod keep Island Creek Resort looking good and feeling good underfoot. Relax in ICR's community pool or grab the Coppertone and head across the street to Avon's super beachfront. Spring and fall guests sing ICR's praises for board sports, while families regale in this secret spot for summer getaways. Seasoned travelers even head to ICR for their winter holidays. For parents introducing their families to the world of watersports and experts looking to perfect kiting, windsurfing, and kayaking techniques, this is truly a resort for all seasons. The boat slips are first come first served.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Please Note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

The house was in the perfect location. Short walk to a nice restaurant, and the ocean side. Good fishing on the sound side. Communication with host was fast. The rooms had beautiful views.

Loved this property

This was a great property to spend a week with our extended family. I love that it is on the sound and there’s a large grassy yard outside to play. Would stay here again in the future!

Loves our stay here. Great location, clean house with all of the amenities we hoped. Beautiful sunsets nightly.

Beautiful location

Great spot with easy beach access. Lots of fun playing in the sound and catching crabs and fish! Close stores and restaurants. Beach access is a quick walk across the main road.

Apparent upgrades to the kitchen countertops, flooring throughout, bathrooms, and carpeting were nice. The house was in decent shape. The cleaning prior to our arrival was incomplete in several areas. We did enjoy our stay.

The house was perfect. The location was perfect. We did notice a lot of dust on the banister and a few other places. We also had to rewash most of dishes we needed to use because they were dirty with residue from the dishwasher. We would suggest having sitting on the lower deck with the hot tub. There was nowhere to sit for those who wanted to be with us while we in the hot tub. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. I liked the UV light in the bathroom. The media room was very nice to have on the lower floor.

Vacation home review

Loved the view and the house. Had some problems with the refrigerator and trash pick-up. Need a can opener that works. Text messaging to vacasa helpful but prefer speaking directly to management.

NOT BAD

House was very nice inside. new countertop .Nice table and chairs. couch was nice. fridge and dishwasher old but still working. Need more utensils. ie 5 wine glasses. not very clean 2 shower curtains were mouldy. Not enough outdoor seating.

4 bedroom in Avon

Good location, next to excellent restaurant and water sports rental place. Convenient access to island. Inside was abit worn (carpet, finishes, counters), but light and airy. No instructions for anything (tv’s, fireplace, jacuzzi), so difficult to use. Very close to neighbors and some can be noisy at night. Jacuzzi very weak-worthless.

This house has a 5-star potential

The layout is awesome with the extra media room and the open LR floor plan. Gorgeous sound views. Easy water access for windsurfing and paddling. The art throughout is beautiful. Love, love the TWO outdoor showers. The kitchen was challenging with the dishwasher limiting freezer and cabinet access. There was no ground floor hose for getting sand out of feet, or cleaning windsurfing equipment. Windsurf storage space was blocked and hard to use. We had a great time. We would have rented this house again in 2025 if the the weekly rental cost had not doubled.

Love the location. House needs updating.

We’ve been vacationing at island creek for almost 15 years with another family. Have stayed in most homes (especially those in north side). You can’t beat the location…beautiful sound sunsets and a quick walk to the beach. This house has 2 outdoor showers which is awesome, the beds were pretty comfortable, and the deck chairs newer and in great shape. The kitchen needs some TLC for sure. When it rains, the windows leak and the floors get wet. The TVs are super old. The washer and dryer are super old. The decor has been around since the 80s. The pool chairs are half broken. I mainly stay in these houses because the houses are totally fine but the location and community is the best. Would totally stay here again.
