Avila Beach Townhouse Rental - Short Walk to the Beach Beautifully Furnished 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Townhome 1.5 Blocks From the Sand. Sleeps 6. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and K-Cup Coffee Machine. The living room has a flat screen, DVD player, fireplace, and sofa sleeper. Dining Table seats 4 and breakfast bar with 3 stools. Primary bedroom, located downstairs, has a King bed, flat screen TV. Primary bath has a soaking tub and separate standing shower. The second bedroom, located upstairs, has a Queen bed. Washer/Dryer. Deck with gas BBQ, starter supply of propane provided.

1 Car Garage Parking.

Nice rental - good location

Avila Beach is a fun town and this location is quiet and within a few blocks of the beach and a charming little village.

lovely house/condo..worked well for me, my wife, son and both grandkids..however heat gain was problematic even with overhead fan running much of the time in living room..also couldn't open 2 upstairs windows facing the driveway.also reported rodent (assume mouse or rat) sound having kept my wife from adequate sleep..we concluded that it may have been a scratching noise within the wall in upstairs bedroom..in any case really enjoyed our stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ok, great location. Appreciated they had lots of beach toys/gear available.Disappointed the washer/dryer didn't work, jetted tub didn't work, garage is so small it was tight for a Toyota Camry passengers have to get out before pulling into garage because you can't open the passenger side doors inside, no sheets/bedding for the sleeper sofa. My daughter and grandson slept on a mattress pad with one blanket and pillows we shared off other beds.

Condescending and nasty

DO NOT STAY HERE! We have stayed at this location every year after Thanksgiving for the past 5 years and spent about $20,000 with them. No longer. Once we made the booking, the employees were approaching us like scam credit collectors. They were nasty, condescending, and demanding. They also gaslit me for asking simple questions. This year they had us pay a deposit for our dogs. First time ever, so I asked if it was a new Policy. They said it has been going since the company started. Then I told them it has never been in place since I’ve been there. They proceeded to tell me that I’ve never stayed there— we’ve stayed there the week after Thanksgiving for 5 years. I got confused and said, isn’t it the green condo? They said no, it’s grey. It’s green. They were so awful I actually asked to cancel. They told me they’d keep half the full charge and do I still want to cancel 3 months before our stay. We get there with a family of 4 for 8 days. There are 5 towels and no spare sheets. Also, the dresser on the bottom level just collapses to the floor if you are not careful. A few days in it starts to smell like absolute sewage. Suddenly, the plumbing in backing up into the bath tub. We tried our best to clean up but the smell was horrendous. They just sent us pictures blaming us for damage to a table and a tile that there is no way we did, and other “damage” that requires wiping we would’ve done if the place didn’t smell of poop and trash.

Awesome Avila

Avila was great and the property worked very well for our family. The only thing is the place is very dusty everywhere above 6 ft tall and could use a deep cleaning. Would recommend staying here and would do so again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this condo several times. This visit, June 2024, was to attend our son's graduation from Cal Poly. During the weekend, the rates were more than doubled (to $729/night). I understand that rates at most places are hiked up during this weekend, but doubling the nightly rate is unreasonable. On top of that, we were required to stay for 4 nights. However, we stayed here because the unit and location meets our needs and we would not miss graduation. When we got there, our garage entry code did not work. We got in touch with Ken, the manager, and he came fairly quickly which we appreciated. Apparently the power went out and deactivated the code. If the managers knew about that, I would have thought they would visit the unit and make sure everything was okay before we arrived. We also discovered that the garage remote did not work, but we managed. This unit is modern, clean and well-stocked. The extra pass for a 2nd parking spot is a bonus! The staff is pleasant and responsive on the phone and via text. Avila Beach is a lovely place to visit!

Great location, beautiful home

This was our family's first trip to Avila. We walked everyday. The beach, pizza, icecream, restaurants are a pleasant 10 min walk. Having a garage was a bonus (is was snug for our sedan). Having a washer/dryer in-unit was so convenient! The wall to wall living room windows face South so remember to shut the living room blinds before leaving for a day out to help keep the place cooler (no A/C, as advertised). Management was super easy to worked with. We would be happy to return!

Perfect for us!

We loved the location and simplicity and comfort of this home. It was sunny and clean and spacious and so wonderful. It is so close to the beach, just a 2 minute walk but you don’t get the noise and disruption of foot traffic etc of actually being on the beach. There’s so much beach stuff in the garage-don’t bother bringing your own chairs and wagon (like we did!), sand toys and beach towels, a huge basket of board games upstairs. Check in was so easy-great communication and they delivered keys to the property. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice property with good location

The property was really nice. A lot of natural light. The only downside we saw was the lack of air conditioning and it did get a little warm upstairs. (The lack of air conditioning is stated in the description so something we expected going in).
