Going Coastal Beachfront Awesome Views

Going Coastal has an awesome front deck with great views. There is an a great place to sit and hang out down stairs with shower with hot and cold water, a BBQ grill, Fish Cleaning Table and parking underneath.

One King master bedroom, one King room and two twin bunk beds in the third bedroom.

We recently renovated this classic Beach Cottage. New Kitchen, Windows, Doors, Furniture, Beds, Deck, Flooring. It is like a new house.

The Views just can not be beat.

The home has High Speed WiFi, Digital Cable, and each bedroom has a 55” Smart TV. The Living room has a two full size couches and a 65” Smart TV.

Pets - We accept two well behaved dogs

7 night minimum rental required year round.

This home rents from Saturday to Saturday.

Relaxing week away.

The check in was great. Property was accurately described. Short walk to the beach, bike able to the park and the shops on the island. Wonderful week at a wonderful property.

4th of July vacation

We enjoyed the location of the property from being able to walk right out to the beach to take the golf cart to dinner. We have already booked for next year!

Absolutely perfect P

The beach house was exactly as described and as shown in the photos. The proximity to the beach made for the perfect family vacation with our kiddos. The proximity to the shops & restaurants allowed for a super quick drive or an easy walk. The deck chairs & picnic table allowed for enjoying the beach during the times you don’t want sandy feet. The check in was simple and the check out process was easy to understand. One of our most favorite stays.

Great location!

This property is right on the gulf side of the beach in the ideal location. Property management was also quick to respond to a minor issue that popped up during our stay. We enjoyed our time here!

Great House and location

We loved everything about the house and location. Wonderful to be right on the beach. We had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again when visiting St. George Island.

Great Place to Stay!

This property is in a great location; not too far from the middle of the island. It has lots of space for a family. I really like how there are a lot of hooks for hanging items. I liked that there is a gate on the back deck going down the stairs. The area under the house is spacious; and it has a grill and picnic table.

Fantastic Property

Everything you need is here. Spacious living area with two large bedrooms with separate bathrooms and a third bedroom if you have children. Perfect spot directly on the beach with wonderful balcony, fish cleaning table downstairs, etc. Terrific choice.

Enjoyed our Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at Going Coastal. The house was clean, updated, and nicely decorated. The short walk down to the beach was awesome. The close proximity to the center of the island was convenient. We enjoyed the area downstairs under the house with the bench, table, grill, and shower. Only downside I can think of is the kitchen is a little small if you are cooking for many people and the master bedroom mattress on the bathroom side is sloped so you feel like you might fall off. Overall we were very happy with Going Coastal.

Steps from the beach, immaculately kept with nice furniture and decor and kitchen. within walking distance of nice restaurants and lighthouse. only minor negative was watch your head walking down steps from deck. you'll have to duck! we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone!

Great location. Beautiful Beach

We enjoyed our stay. The property is directly on the beach. The bed and furniture were comfortable. Kitchen was supplied with plenty of dishes, cooking pots and pans. The house was very limited on soap products for showering and laundry as well as paper products. Beach supplies were not available. If you are staying here be sure to bring all of that stuff for your stay. St. George’s island is beautiful. The east side of the island is dedicated to a state park.

Peaceful vacation rental!

Such a wonderful place for a peaceful vacation! I was there with my dad and my dog. Whole town is dog friendly which is awesome. We had a wonderful time. Our Vrbo was right at the beach, cannot beat that location. Our host was amazing too! He provided little box of essential items, you don’t want to buy while you are on vacation such as, mini dish soap, dishwasher tablets, laundry pots and a sponge. It was very convenient. Such a great feeling to wake up with waves sound! Unit also has a nice patio where we had our breakfast. Great place for doing a morning yoga as well! We are considering going there again next summer! :)

Great Vacation

The house was just as it was described in the listing. It was steps from the beach, clean and perfect for our vacation. We had to contact the property management company about the washer that stopped working while we were there. An appliance technician was there within 2 hours. It was determined the parts needed to fix it wound at days to arrive. The owner actually called and informed us that a brand new washer was being delivered the very next day. It was very obvious the owner takes very good care of the house. My family and I will definitely stay here again!

The best vacation!

I have nothing bad to say. We got to SGI earlier than check-in time...no worries. We hung out at Blue Parrot and had lunch and some drinks while we waited. The home was ready on time. The home was clean and stocked. The beach...ah the beach! Beautiful! Very short walk. I LOVED the patio. I have to admit that I was nervous about not having a screened porch given the biting flies but we had no issues and were able to stargaze every night. It was awesome and we have some awesome photos. I would stay there again without hesitation!

The Perfect Beach House

Going Coastal was the perfect beach house for our group of four adults. The house was clean, with a well appointed kitchen - they literally had everything we needed. We also loved that the owners had hooks placed throughout the house for hanging beach hats, wet clothes, towels, and anything else you might need to keep off the floor. Their accommodations for the dog were so appreciated. Couch covers, dog bowls etc. The views of the beach were gorgeous and visible throughout the house. Proximity to the beach/ocean was even closer than it appeared in the listing, making everything super convenient. We enjoyed the covered area underneath the house everyday, playing corn hole, listening to music, and watching the ocean roll in. One of the days we had heavy rain all day but were able to hang out below and had a blast. We would definitely stay at Going Coastal again. Thank you for providing us with such relaxing accommodations. We highly recommend!

Tough week

Weather with Hurricane Sally made it a tough week. House swayed and shook under force of wind and rain. Rain came in around one window. I called to report and got no response. Struggled with combination lock on front door. Took us 8 to 9 tries each time to get door open. The number”4” would not work. Lots of sand under the living room rug on our arrival. Gate on deck coming apart with nails protruding. Despite all of this, I do believe the house would have been fine w/o the strong weather system. Location is excellent. Not sure we would stay here again.

All was good. We've stayed here before & also have had friends stay. Every time the living room TV doesn't work. We've even called the owner who said the TV's were problematic. First & foremost, there are no directions for the 3 remotes in the living room. There is a channel listing but no remote or TV instructions so visitors must simply guess & try as best they can which may or may not mess up the TV even further. After we called, a cable person came & got the TV going but we could never access the Netflix films we so wanted to enjoy during the rainy cold days. Some compensation would be welcome but we are not asking for any. On a higher note we loved the improvements to the lower level & also the guest bath. A little more attention to housekeeping like dusting window sills & a little trim touch up painting could also go a long way. The property is beautiful & know we loved it except for those days when watching a film would have helped so much & also checking in on the news each night is something that makes us feel at home. Wonderful Week

The location of this rental is fantastic. We were within walking distance of the lighthouse, Blue Parrot, and stores. There was plenty of room on the beach. Renting a Neso shade at Island Dog worked out great. The hard floors, the gated deck, and the sofa covers made this property really pet friendly. We loved it!

We live in Galveston Texas, and have been looking for 'The Place' we want to retire, and finally found St George Island. It is never crowded, and the fishing is world class. We own Five homes here and will be on the island full time in just a couple years.

We chose St George Island because it reminds us of 'Old Florida', no Walmarts or Home Depots, not even a traffic light. The fishing is outstanding and the check out the 2012 Sports Illustrated swim suit addition and you'll find some the best photos were taken here on St George Island.

Our home is a charming coastal getaway. The beach path is directly in front of the house. The views and the sounds of the ocean had us hooked at hello. We work hard to keep the place in top condition so we know you will have a Clean, well appointed home for your stay.
